  1. Between this and the newswoman thread, I gotta say I'm liking how people are stepping their games up around here and finding some seriously smokin chicks. Nice work boys...nice work.
  2. Don't tell LSI...drafts tend get him even more riled up than usual. I read that whole Fantasy Baseball Draft thread and dude was in rare form. You could almost see the Yoo-Hoo and Captain Crunch sweating out his pores while he awaited his next pick.
  3. True...complicated was the wrong word...the levels have all blended together. That one was just a ridiculous pain in the ass.
  4. I just started the thread to pay a little tribute to one of our TBD Hall of Fame Window Lickers....didn't think the Kobe debate would ensue. And John, I like you man and I'm just busting your balls here, but you are definitely the only person I've ever seen who consistently misspells Michael Jordan's name. There are probably blind monks in Tibet who know how to spell his name.
  5. I got it...it was probably the most complicated level....24 and 25 not as much. Fun game although beating it was the only somewhat useful thing I've accomplished today.
  6. I got to level 23 (great use of my time obviously) and I think the game is fcking with me so I don't win. The password to get to that level (if you haven't already) is "Pressure" if you want to give it a shot and tell me why I can't figure it out. EDIT: Level 23 is crying like a girl now.
  7. 15 is putting up a good fight....but I can tell it's starting to get nervous.
  8. No sht....that was the nail in my coffin as well. I just couldn't get behind GTown this year and I thought for sure that UNC would clear them out even if they managed to roll into the regional semi. But bigs up to them...they are starting to remind me of the Patriots. Nothing amazing, but better than whoever they line up against on gameday and somehow manage to get it done. I'm really looking forward to seeing them vs. OSU.
  9. Setting aside the idea that our OL may be much improved, you seem to be assuming that everyone that remains on the team from last year will play at the exact same level this season. True, we have lost some key contributors, but we don't necessarily have to make up every bit of what they brought by finding equal replacements. It is possible (and very probable with such a young team), that the players currently on the roster will improve and play much better next season, thereby erasing this supposed gap we have created by jettisoning NC, Fletch, Willis and Spikes. It is very possible the JP will continue to blossom into an upper-echelon QB as he made so many strides last season. Lee Evans will very probably continue his assent into the league's elite. Our young safety tandem could very well emerge into one of the best groups in the league. Ellison could continue to improve. Youboty could step in nicely. McCargo could come back from the injury and continue to improve. Roscoe could develop into a more capable WR and even more of a dangerous homerun threat. The entire team as a whole could improve after having another full offseason with what was almost an entirely new coaching staff. Or none of that could happen...but I loved what I saw of this team as the season went on. And I love how many rookies contributed in significant ways. I have no reason to believe that we can't get similar production from whoever we draft this April.
  10. Seriously...why grown adults get all bent out of shape because an @sshole with the mind of a pre-teen doesn't understand the repercussions of his words is beyond me. Yeah, Willis has proved himself lately to be a complete POS in the fact that he has no problem shtting on his former team and fans. But think of it more as a kid who just got dumped by some girl and the second he finds a new girlfriend he starts talking sht on the old one. Willis is like TO...they both speak completely candidly...COMPLETELY. But the problem is, the thoughts that go from brain to mouth are not those of a mature, intelligent person. But I mean hoping he blows out his knee?
  11. LSI, you just whined how everything was ruined and you had no chance of winning TWO nights ago. You need an Adderall/Valium prescription in the worst way. Either that or find some people who blaze and make friends fast.
  12. Nice guy. I liked how he's actually not a virgin, but has since changed his stance and regrets "slipping up" and having sex earlier in college. I'm sure the girl he "slipped up" with sure loved to hear that it meant so much to him. As for mocking them, I completely agree that it is wrong. But the majority always loudly and obnoxiously mocks anything that goes against its viewpoints. Why would abstinence be any different?
  13. I had the same thing (A&M FF and Tenn over OSU)...can't believe how the Bucks keep reaching deeper and deeper into their asses to pull these games out. At least I got UCLA right...
  14. Dude just scored 50+ points for the fourth consecutive game!! That is like freakin nuts!!1!1!!1 Doesn't anyone else think this is amazing? I can't believe no one has posted about it...it happened like almost 12 hours ago. ....miss you B-Dawg12 *Classic TBD thread...if you missed it, take a few minutes.
  15. I'm not saying that I'm on the Leonard bandwagon, but it's amazing that he got as many touches as he did. Ray Rice, Rutgers' feature back, is an absolute animal and will most likely be a 1st round pick next year. He was the 2nd leading rusher in the nation this year. Rice's stats: 335 car. 1794 yds. 5.4 avg. 20 TDs He carried the ball more than Lynch and Leonard combined. Rutgers wasn't bad this year....and Leonard was a big part of that.
  16. Absolutely agreed. I'd just love to wait until August...hell even June 1st cuts before we dump the guy. Ideally, I'd love to see him on the field in September given two full years of recovery, but I'd settle for any kind of extended opportunity to see him in action.
  17. First, the refs had to take a minimum of .2 off the clock. That leaves the maximum difference at .9 seconds. Second, I'd love to see Kirk (or any basketball player) take 3 additional steps in .9 seconds. He'd get about 2 feet closer MAX. Third, even with 1 more step, Kirk is still launching a 25 footer, while running, with two guys on him. Wouldn't have mattered.
  18. I wasn't trying to say that the average guy makes it back...I just honestly couldn't think of a bunch of examples. With regards to Spikes, I trust the Bills coaching staff and team doctors far more than my "gut" about Spikes' ability to make a full recovery. I just really admire his determination and I personally think it is too early to cut bait with him. Lose him for what? a 4th rounder? 5th? I'd roll the dice and keep him another season if that is the only payment. Plus, his value is at an all-time low...who wants a complete unknown, aging LB with a high salary? We have the cap space...no need to jump the gun. However, I do take issue with this notion that Spikes is a malcontent that is keeping away free agents. He has grumbled about cutting veterans and he took issue with not drafting a DT that he thought would help him do his job better. I agree that he should keep his opinions in house, but I'm not going to hold it over him for the rest of his (maybe short) career in Buffalo. But about him turning off Corey Dillon and others (and I'm not trying to single you out...plenty of others have hinted at this), I find it puzzling. Nothing I have heard or read leads me to that conclusion and actually, the only evidence I can give on either side is very supportive of Spikes' positive attitude towards the Buffalo Bills. Example: Derrick Dockery. From Billsdaily: Derrick Dockery said the Bills have always been one of his favorite teams and he felt it was a right fit for him as the Bills were one of the teams on the top of his list to visit....Takeo Spikes is a good friend of his along with former Bill Mike Williams. They both said nothing but good things about Buffalo. From PFW: (essentially the same quote) I know Takeo Spikes real good, and he says nothing but great things about the city and the team. I don't know why the Bills management seems interested in parting ways, and I'll trust their decision. But I have to wonder about the value in selling low on a potential impact player all for the possible payout of a 2nd day draft pick. Risk doesn't seem worth the reward to me.
  19. I had A&M in the Final Four and I agree for the most part that the refs botched it, but it wasn't going to make a difference. The ball was tipped and then bounced IN BOUNDS before it went out. I'd say it would have been fair to take between .2 and .4 off the clock. 1.1 was waaaay too much, but it wouldn't have made an ounce of difference. Acie Law's missed layup was the story, not the refs screwup.
  20. First, I've never once posted Julian Peterson's name on this board, so you're thinking of someone else. Second, Peterson is just one example. But he is about as close to our case as you can get. OLB, widely considered one of the best in the game before his injury. Unimpressive in his first year back after injury. Team lets him go. Goes on to be a Pro-Bowler. I'd love to give a bunch of examples of those who didn't make it, but I don't know who the "plenty of others who havent" made it back are. I'd be interested in some examples. I simply believe that if anyone can make it back, it's a guy like Spikes who has intensity, passion and dedication beyond what is often seen among his peers.
  21. Yeah I had him on my fantasy team and I watched him when I could. He definitely wasn't the same QB, but I don't know if that was because he doesn't have it anymore, or that he came back too soon. I'd lean towards the latter. I think he felt pressure to rejoin the team in time for a playoff push, and perhaps he wasn't ready. I mean, both Carr and Green will be gambles for different reasons. I just have a hard time believing that a Pro-Bowl quality player has lost his usefulness as the result of one hit. But I could be wrong.
