  1. They're hilarious...and Avalon is the real deal. They just put out a new mixtape last week.
  2. I gotta say I have mixed feelings. Would be ecstatic if he came in and grabbed yet another victory (it would definitely be his most impressive), but on the other hand, his legend is not only incredible in its own right, but it is a bright spot in a very dirty sport. A loss would add some tarnish. Either way, it will be cool to see the guy back where he has been so incredible. Return of the King
  3. I sure hope they get another QB. If for no other reason that I think it is tremendous that Matt Cassel has alread carved out a 4 year NFL career despite not starting a single game since high school. I'd love for him to go his entire career with that distinction.
  4. Regardless of anyone's take on this debate, I think this line is hilarious.
  5. Spot on. I think its absurd when people talk about how we gave Peters (or McGahee for that matter) "a shot." There ain't no charity cases in pro sports. Teams don't pay someone a minimum of six figures because they want to give them a break. We took a chance that he would be good and we won. He "owes" the team no kind of gratitude or loyalty in that regard.
  6. He's trying to make his opinions more rediculous than his suit/tie combos. Merril, pinstripes and neon green dont go together.
  7. Ouch...No little Vinces. The Titans don't F around I guess...
  8. I posted this in a different thread (mea culpa, I didn't see this one)... If I was one of the team leaders (and I don't know who they are...Harrison, Vrabel?), the one guy I'd be keeping a very close eye on is Randy Moss. I probably like him more than most, but it is undeniable that he has a penchant for becoming disinterested (or worse, destructive) when the team begins to struggle. For as much as I hate their organization, I always liked that the Patriots were probably one of the only teams (if not the only team) that would be able to tell Randy to Fck off if at any point became a distraction. Any other team, for as much as they want to discipline a player like Moss, TO, etc., are almost always held hostage by the talent he brings and would rather accommodate him than take a stand. Brady could tell him straight up "Listen, we are excited you are here and we should dominate together, but the second you become a distraction, you can feel free to clear your locker and get the fck out. We've won rings without you and we don't need you at that cost." Now, with Brady done, and the possibility of a disaster of a season (which follows up the kick to the nuts which was the Super Bowl), I could see Randy reverting very quickly. Cassell (or whoever they bring in) is already going to be in the impossible situation of having to replace the legend of the franchise. A 2004-06 Randy Moss is the poison that could completely sink this team. If I was a vocal team captain/leader, I'd make damn sure that doesn't happen.
  9. Well are you asking "Will he make it?" or "Should he make it?" Because there is no chance in hell he doesn't. If anything, a career ending injury in his prime would make his legend stronger through the countless "what ifs" that will surround his name. I guess you could make the argument that his body of work is not enough stat-wise. But he has more TDs and/or YDs than Roger Staubach, Bob Griese, Joe Namath, Troy Aikman, etc. Add the rings and the perfect* season, and he's got more than enough for his resume.
  10. No question. Nothing can revoke his reservation in Canton. Unless he like knowingly bet on games or cheated or something.... Oh wait.. Nah, no doubt he makes it. Last year's passing records and the 16-0 was the final nail in the coffin (Super Bowl loss notwithstanding).
  11. Mickey Avalon - Waiting to Die (disclaimer, this is a rap song...so disinterested people don't have to waste their time checking it out on youtube )

  13. If you hate ND, then check out this article. Did Weis, ND's BoT, ND alumni and ND fans all bang this dude's wife? Not Weis' biggest fan
  14. Hilarious...funny thing is, that week was probably the highlight of Weis' career so far. It has steadily gone downhill since then. This year has the potential to be excellent though if the sophomores are mature enough. Or it could be an average year. One thing is certain, the talent is back. #1 recruiting class this year and the most talent since Holtz's days.
  15. Seconded. And who would have thought the it would feature two future US Governors? "Y'all a bunch of slack-jawed faggots round here. This sht will make you a goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus...just like me." Has any other future governor delivered a better line? As to the second one, the only thing that bothered me was Danny Glover killing the Predator without a weapon. I mean, I love Danny, but in Predator, the thing tosses Arnold around like a pizza box and then in the sequel, Mr. "I'm too old for this sh--" beats it to death with his bare hands. Final note, I always thought Bill Duke was a dead ringer for Thurman Thomas (in his fatter days).
  16. thanks beer dude and the rest of you...seeing the other bday thread about Boondck turning 21 made me realize how much my celebrating days have changed. This year I celebrated in Frisco, CO doing some hiking and taking in some scenery. 4 years ago I celebrated in the fetal position of my front yard puking and basically wanting to die. Strangely, both days were equally fun... Cheers!
  17. My boy JT will hold it down...15 sacks, 5 FF as he becomes a household name. Mark it down.
  18. Say it with me Marshall, LAHS-MAN....earn your fcking paycheck!
  19. Isn't that kind of the point? That didn't happen because Polian made the correct choice (like he has done for decades).
  20. I've been talking to my boys about that for a few days...what a joke. I can't believe he could possibly get in trouble over that photo. the only thing he should be punished for is wearing those shorts. Although good form on Beer Olympics. Those were some of the most fun days of college.
  21. I was surprised we cut King. He seemed like he was going to make it. And seeing how we have brought in several DBs since (yes, Bill, I know....I know), it's not like we were set with what we had. Just another case of a coach wanting a different style player maybe. It is weird though how some players seems to linger around forever, and some get the ax before they seemingly develop enough to have a measurable contribution. But I'm no coach... Side note...what a bumble of a draft it turned out to be for us. I love Roscoe Parrish and I hope he gets involved more, but whether bad luck played a role or not, that has to rank up there with Butler's 2000 Mail-In in terms of lack of value for the Buffalo Bills.
