  1. I'm not going to be at ease until I see that sweet, beautiful "-x" next to our name in the standings. But that's not to say that I don't think we are legit as of right now. But I've been fooled before...
  2. Was it Phil Luckman Luckett? Or was that Home Run Forward Pass? Or both? Edit: Thanks NG...
  3. I think this dude's pretty funny. You're okay in my book, bud. Still... Bills 37 Raiders 10
  4. What a great comment under that video by killer49691: "bills for life f*ck dallas pure luck they won imma stab T sucks" Preach on brother!!
  5. After the Bills were called for offsides on the kickoff, it marked the 776th time that Ol' Faithful Steve chimed in that this was a very dangerous situation for the kicking team and that due to fatigue from already having run full-steam ahead the first time, the receiving him was liable to get a huge return. And for the 776th time, nothing happened. (I kid, I kid....but really, Steve, we get it... )
  6. Anything's possible...but unless Kiffin was wildly unpopular with the players, I can't imagine this move will do anything but frustrate and demoralize them. At best, they will try to rally with the "all we got is us" mantra, but I don't think it will make a difference to a well-disciplined, efficient team like Buffalo has shown to be thus far.
  7. Oh no doubt. This team has the most talent since Lou's squads in the late 80s-early 90s. They had the #1 recruiting class last year and all signs point to good things so far with 2009. The talent is there, and it keeps coming in. The question is, can Charlie mold it into a winner? So far...undetermined. But I'm very optimistic. Clausen is on his way. He's no Peyton Manning, but he's ahead of where Brady Quinn was at this point in their careers. I expect him to finish better as well.
  8. When he was drafted, the consensus "expectation" of him seemed to be that if he could catch a few red-zone TDs and perhaps be the difference in a few games, then people would be very pleased. I think we've already gotten a lot of our money's worth.
  9. Thanks for the breakdown, Kelly. I thought overall, Peters looked like a rusty pro bowler...which is exactly what he is. He showed his dominance on some plays, but had some lapses on others. With regards to the sack/fumble...I've heard you and a few others say that Trent should take some blame because he didn't step up. As soon as he was hit, a DT was in his grill. I didn't rewatch it too many times, but it seems that he wasn't able to step up. I then put some blame on our interior line for allowing up the middle penetration, but I don't blame Trent for not avoiding the outside pressure on what was a pretty miserable job by Peters. JMO...
  10. Hahaha...just kidding. Although it does make me feel a lot better about the disgrace that was last week's nail-biter vs. the worst team in 1-A football. It was a sloppy game and Michigan simply could not take care of the football. 7 fumbles?? 6 TOs?? Ugly all around. ND has some impressive big play guys on both sides of the ball and I'm continually impressed with Clausen's development. I will say this for Michigan, their offense is farther along than I thought it would be. McGuffie just might be one of my favorite players in college football (and that is tough for me to give to a Wolverine ). What a tough dude he is! And helluva runner. Threet has a great arm too...he was putting balls in the tightest spots. Side note - I hate USC so much...like just as much as Michigan. But I really wouldn't mind seeing Taylor Mays or Rey Maualuga smack Pryor around a bit. I don't know what it is about this dude, by I really don't like him. Kid is running his mouth after 9 yd. runs when his team is down 14-3. Even his teammates said he was a cocky fck when he showed up.
  11. Tell the Big 11 to drop a team then. ND is fine where we are.
  12. I didn't grow up in Buffalo, but every time I make it up there I demand a stop at Mighty Taco. I don't even think I like it that much anymore...I just feel a compulsion to go. The best Mexican food I ever had was at some shthole shack in Puerta Vallarta. We would stop there at like 4am. There was about 60 things on the menu, but they only ever had 2 items. Whatever the hell it was, it was incredible. And I love me some Grilled Stuffed Burritos at T Bell. I never understood the hate.
  13. Holy shite...that about takes the cake. It was my 2nd week of college. Woke up to my roommate shaking me and shouting hysterically. By the time I got to my computer, the first tower was a cloud of black smoke. I agree with a previous poster that people should think of this more often. Not to remember the tragedy, but to remember the feelings of goodwill and compassion that flooded our country in the immediate aftermath. Sometimes is takes such a tragedy to bring out the full potential of the human spirit.
  14. Holy shite...that was a severe kick in the balls to every Boston sports fan. I've never seen a hometown writer spew such venom at his own city.
  15. This fckin guy's back...welcome home!
  16. I'm sure Brandon Jacobs is "irked" that Wilfork gouged him in the eye last season too. You build a reputation for acting a certain way, you aren't gonna catch breaks when judgment calls need to be made. Way it goes, Vince...deal with it.
  17. Side note, I hope none of you here is 'marshawnbeastmode'...a Bills fan misspelling Jim Kelly's name is horrendous.
  18. Do yall ever read the ticker on the bottom of those reports? It's just as funny as the stories: "Bacon replaces parsley as nation's favorite garnish" (hahaha WTF?) "First non-terrorist in 10 years buys Microsoft Flight Simulator computer game" "Experts estimate vintage Applebee's gift certificate found in Nevada couple's attic may be worth 140 Shrimp-n-Parmesan Sirloins"
  19. Hmmmm....maybe not. Lance not back?
  20. I don't know the specific rules on downfield OLs, but I'm thinking you might be right about it being a gamble. If he threw a quick pass, perhaps the idea would be that the play would be in full development before any OLs had a chance to get too far downfield. But like I said, I don't know the specifics on that rule (it always struck me as stupid anyway).
  21. There was that rumor in the offseason that he almost retired. He squashed that ASAP, but I wonder now if it had some merit.
  22. I can clearly remember the last 2 times the national media gave us serious positive press: 1. We were hailed as Super Bowl favorites and finished 6-10. 2. We were hailed as maybe the most dangerous team in the AFC, and we sht the bed against Pittsburgh's 3rd stringers. Both situations ended embarrassingly for us because both were premature proclamations that we hadn't earned yet. I'm just fine with the amount of attention we are getting.
