  1. Excellent news! I can't recall the number of times you've jumped to CC's defense on this board when it was attacked directly or indirectly...you were often overzealous in your defense in my opinion. And I don't mean that as an attack on you at all...quite the opposite. It is rare that companies have employees who care enough to vigorously defend them as you have on so many occasions. It would have been a disservice to the company if you had gotten caught in the crossfire here. Congrats!
  2. Ay yi yi....was the dude from Cloverfield holding the camera?? Damn, guy, stop jackin off with other hand and hold the sht still.
  3. Shoulda drafted by boy Tuck when we had the chance. Let's trade for him...dude is a monster.
  4. Maybe some of you have already crosses this threshold, but I can't remember the last time gas was south of two bucks anywhere in my area. Crazy to think how fast the prices soared and they have come down seemingly even faster. I have a pickup truck I rarely use anymore with a 20-gallon tank. I'm pretty sure it's full of $4/gal gas. How's it look in your area?
  5. Yes and yes. Poorly thrown ball, sub-par effort by Hardy.
  6. No doubt...I didn't consider that. Hot, artistic AND far more enlightened than me. Plus no longer affiliated with the worst franchise in sports. She is getting better and better.
  7. My experience with them might be more limited than yours, but what exactly is HfH lying about if they disclose that information in the FAQ section of their website? Unless you mean that they foster the misconception that they give house away... It's not "free homes", but a more affordable alternative. I wouldn't mind a $60,000 interest free mortgage for a house. SORRY about getting away from the crazy cheerleader with the sharpie. I used to do stuff like that, although I'm pretty sure I left the swastikas out of my art design.
  8. From what I've read of you, I wouldn't say I'm in line with a lot of your politics, but trust me, he's doing a good job of cementing similar feelings from others. Good luck with your march.
  9. Well it's just a blog...not exactly like they have a communications department to respond to. Commenting was probably the fastest and most effective way to get that information out.
  10. One of the more interesting threads I've read here. A lot of ingrained opinions, but a lot of good point/counterpoint. Way to do some research, JC. I'm curious as to the response to this.
  11. If true, I think it's in extremely poor taste and is a great example of what we don't need right now in this country.
  12. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. You bring up an interesting thought about Jeb...I was still in high school and not very in-tune with politics during the lead-up to the 2000 election, but I think I remember people talking about Jeb as the heir apparent. And then during W's first term, I still remember there being talk of Jeb being the next in line after him. I would have bet good money 4 years ago that Jeb would be the next Republican nominee. Dude just disappeared.
  13. Very interesting exchange between Nader and some Fox news reporter (Shep Smith, I think?) regarding this quote by Nader regarding Obama: "To put it very simply, he is our first African American president; or he will be. And we wish him well. But his choice, basically, is whether he's going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporations." I'll say this about Nader...the guy sticks to his guns, image be damned. When Smith asked finally if he wished he had chosen a different phrase, a very terse "Not. At. All." was the response. I don't believe he intended it as a racial term, but more as implying Obama may become a general sellout to big money. Still, curious choice there Ralphie... EDIT: I just googled it...it was Shep Smith. Tonight's coverage was the first I've seen of the guy...seems like a real douche to me. He didn't like Nader's explanation of his quote so he insulted his decision to run. Ralph told him he didn't like "bullies" like him and he could go ahead and end the transmission.
  14. I'd rather have Ventura/Duke 2012...those guys kicked serious @ss together. Badasses
  15. Perhaps. But going with that thought, maybe 4 years is all he would have gotten.
  16. With people so disenchanted with government, it seems that elections are often won and lost based on the perceived failure of the predecessor. My impression is that the majority of Americans were far from enamored with either major party candidate this year, a theme similar to the last few presidential elections as well (I can't speak for anything earlier as I was too young). Whichever party is in charge seems to fck it up spurring a backlash for the following election. I believe popular opinion is that W will likely go down as a colossal failure as a president and its possible that the only people more disappointed in him than liberals, are conservatives. His term marked a betrayal of conservative values and his extremist pandering alienated countless voters. But all this is known... My question is mainly directed to the conservative folks (but is obviously open to anyone)...if you could go back to that fateful night of hanging chads and injunctions, would you change the outcome of that election? Do you believe that the last 8 years have done more damage to the Republican party than a victory was worth? Along those lines, do you believe that a Democratic victory in either 2000 or 2004 would have actually had a similar effect for the Democratic party and perhaps John McCain (or whoever) would be the one reaping the benefit of the "need for a change" in this election? Would that have been worth 4/8 years of Gore/Kerry? Just something I thought was an interesting topic of discussion.
  17. I love Dice, but you do know he's 34 years old and has a shredded left knee. He's in the twilight of his career and while he brings a sh-- ton of energy and intangibles, he is a borderline starter. It's a shame too because before his knee injury, he was like an Amare Stoudemire.
  18. Holy sht! By far the most creative and well made costumes I have ever seen. LOVED the shower one and the snake charmer. Maybe you could merge a few interests and go as an NFL draft board next year. Incredible work! ENJOY!
  19. I think that was a tough, tough play. The infield was playing very shallow and it was pretty windy. Not a routine catch at all, IMO. And furthermore, he made up for it with that absolutely vicious ground ball snag the next inning. That was a gold glove stop. Not saying he had a great series, but he played a good Game 5. And if not for an epic play by Chase Utley, he might have had the game winning RBI.
  20. Very pumped about the Sixers. Great, young, athletic team that can do some serious damage over the next few years if a few cards fall in the right places. E Brand gives us the first legit post player since....? Love Thaddeus and Sweet Lou. A deceptively deep team and I'm expecting a 50 win season. A few random comments: - Lakers look good. They are the best starting 5 and it's not really close IMO. I have my doubts Boston can repeat what they did last year, but we'll see. If Bynum can work with Gasol and Odom continues to contribute, this should be a 65 game winner and Finals team. - Very interested to see a healthy Houston team in the playoffs - Love Toronto's core of JO, Bosh and Calderon. If Bargnani can hike his skirt up a bit, this could be a top 3 team in the East - I think D'Antoni and Walsh will have NY back in the playoffs inside 3 seasons. - I think Detroit will fall off a bit - Excited to see Oden (can you stay healthy son??) - I wonder if CP3 takes over the league this year.
