  1. Did Negril freshman year spring break. We stayed at Errol's Sunset Cafe. Kind of a dump, but the man can cook. Definitely make your way down there one day and grab lunch and a few Red Stripes. Rick's is tight...beyond that, the whole week was a blur. I mean, we did the whole all-inclusive bracelet deal and hit up a different bar every night...standard deal. It was definitely one the most fun weeks of my life but I'd imagine it's a lot different in May than it is during spring break season. When SB is in full-tilt, it's a pretty wild place. I think you'd enjoy it a lot more about 3-4 years ago and sans girlfriend. Watch your step. I know its cliche, but we got some shtt stolen from our room (despite having the door locked 99% of the time). We almost got into some sht too. We got a cab to take us to Rick's to go cliff diving and all of sudden we realize we've been driving for like 20 minutes. So we ask the dude what's up and he says he wants to give us a "insider tour" of Jamaica and that there is a better place to go cliff diving than Rick's. We start arguing with him and he gets all pissed off and starts muttering to himself how he will fck us up. So he drives us like 45 minutes inland to his shanty house and tells us to get out. There are MFs cutting up meat with machetes all around us and he tells us he's "not gonna let some rich white kids play him for a fool" and that if we don't pay him "he'll cut us up and leave us there to die." We were like woah crazy man, what do you even want? He just wanted 10 bucks from each of us. Jesus Christ. So long story short, we paid him and then he acted like nothing had ever happened and cheerfully drove us to the "better cliffs" which ended up sucking. Then he drove us back. We told our resort people about it and they said they'd have him arrested if he came back. !@#$in surreal day. So anyway, sht can get a little crazy. But it's a blast.
  2. Galloway I don't mind. I just hope Boldin and/or Holt don't find their way into the division.
  3. Under perfect circumstances, sure $11.5MM could probably get us value beyond just having Peters. Of course, it could also get us Tutan Reyes, Bennie Anderson, Robert Royal and Peerless Price (Act II). You're taking a big gamble assuming we don't swing and miss on any (let alone ALL) of the players we spend that money one. We have a talented player in one of the most important positions on football. He might be a headache, but the LT position since Will Wolford has been a fcking migraine.
  4. I really wonder what the landscape of the Pac-10 would look like now if Belotti had taken the USC job instead of Poodle. Belotti did a helluva a job at Oregon and I wonder if a better "home-field advantage" for California recruiting would have made his career even more successful. But it is hard to imagine USC better off than they are now.
  5. Very cool. I was in a store the other week and they had one of those CD displays with headphones where you can sample the albums for sale. One was this tight upbeat Celtic collection. The preview sounded awesome but the store wanted 20 bucks for it. So I went to Amazon and found it for like $5. I ordered it last week thinking it would be perfect to play on St. Pats. The package arrives yesterday afternoon and instead the motherfckers sent me: Beyond the Sea - Sentimental Clarinet Quartet with Nature Sounds Fan-fcking-tasting....
  6. I agree with your overall point that the blame belongs with the lazy "investors" who thought a cable TV subscription was all that was required to properly invest their money. But as a guy who takes personal accountability as seriously as you do, I wouldn't think you'd have a problem with someone who makes a living holding himself out to be an expert in his field being taken to task for being wrong. If the weatherman calls for sunny skies, of course I'm gonna be pissed when Hurricane Tammy blows the margarita out of my hand. Doesn't mean he owes me a new drink, but I'm still gonna curse him out when I get home.
  7. Ouch. It's also a lovely kick to the nuts for that website to leave up the Browns final 2008 boxscore all year long. Must be nice to read an article about your team's financial mismanagement AND be reminded of a 31-0 beatdown from December where your QB threw for 18 yards.
  8. Agreed...hilarious. His expressions are great.
  9. Arrrrghhhh DIB...beat me to the punch, mate!
  10. Pirates all the way! For the reasons you mentioned AND the most important one...BOOZE! Pirates drink badass rum straight from scurvy barrels. What do ninjas drink? Tea? Sake? Kiwi Propel?
  11. One for the ages...it's unfortunate there couldn't be a buzzer beater to cap this thing off. Hats off to Cuse...the mental strain of trailing throughout 5 OTs had to be ridiculous. Hopefully they have the gas to go again tomorrow. As for UConn, this actually might work out better in their favor. I'd say they have the #1 seed locked up and after such a marathon tonight, perhaps a few days rest will be more valuable than playing again in less than 20 hours.
  12. Maybe Price jacking a NBA 3 with 7 seconds a time-out? People who bought the evening package at MSG are getting their money's worth...
  13. Regardless of whether UConn pulls this out, I'm strongly leaning towards picking UL to go the deepest of the BE's "Big 3." As Pitt proved tonight (and a few other times this year) they drop from a top 5 team to a top 25 team when Blair is off/in foul trouble and I have serious reservations about riding the Conn with their FTs and Dyson loss. And again, what a great game this is...probably frustrating to both Cuse and Conn fans alike, but to a neutral observer, very entertaining.
  14. Haha...ED just shoved Adrian to the floor on the fast break. What a douche he is. I can't believe they let that go. PS - Even as a depressed ND fan, this has been a very enjoyable BE tourney. Such great games every year and this year is no exception!!
  15. Poor kid?? More like poor kid's roommate for those two days...
  16. I'm game...just did some spring cleaning and found my TBD hat from last year's pool.
  17. If Jeff George had a little more "game winning savvy" he'd be Peyton Manning. I'd say that's a bit more important than arm strength.
  18. If most of you had bothered to read the comments, you'd see that a lot of "Philly" was actually defending the signing or at least ripping the author for being a tard. But go ahead and fire barbs back at Philadelphia and use that same broad brush that you just complained the article's douche writer was using.
  19. Dude was born in Florida, played high school ball in Florida, went to college in Florida and has spent 11 years of pro ball in Florida. I'd be surprised if his 33 year old joints and muscles make it through a Boston fall and winter in tact.
  20. “It’s ridiculous that this rumor has even gained the traction it has over the past few days. I hesitate to respond to it at all because by dignifying this ‘report,’ I set myself up to be forced to set the record straight on future rumors. But it’s obvious that some people out there are trying to sabotage our recruiting efforts and it’s unfortunate that their agenda has been published and reproduced in recent days.” - Brian Hardin, Notre Dame’s Director of Football Media Relations
