  1. JC...closest you'll find....swagger and all. Make it happen Russ, Buddy, Bill, Leslie, Brian, Ralph
  2. Interesting. I didn't see it that way at all. I interpreted his pause to gather composure as him probably holding back tears and being completely at a loss for words. I can't imagine what it would feel like to work so hard for years to get to the biggest stage of your life and then have the moment taken from you. And then to have to articulate those feelings on the spot in a post-game interview. His "smiling and laughing" (as I saw it) was not in the "ha ha" sense at all. I thought he was humble and classy and any awkwardness stemmed from emotion spilling over. And I'm not a big McCoy fan in the first place.
  3. Mack's explanation was even worse. First saying that a shovel pass is "as safe as a draw play" was hilarious. And then the reasoning behind it was his big plan was to get to midfield so he could throw a hail mary? I'm a big fan of using every second of the half and I detest timid coaches who take a knee on their own 30 with 1:30 to play (cough, Jauron, cough), but sometimes you just got to pack it in. High risk, low reward...
  4. Far from it. I think McCoy has been overrated as a college QB for pretty much his entire career and I want nothing to do with him at the pro level. I just think shitting on the kid after what was likely the worst night of his life because he couldn't find an articulate way to answer the post game reporter is retarded. Equally as retarded as pretending to know the extent of his injury or how much he tried to come back into the game (not you, others in the thread).
  5. You're talking to alabama fans here...they care little about whether the title is "undisputed" or not. I keed, I keed...sort of. Congrats to Alabama and a miraculous turnaround that I don't think anyone could have possibly predicted. And the future looks very bright in Tuscaloosa. Although a Texas comeback would have been one for the ages...
  6. Alabama was definitely the better team, but Texas could have very easily won this game. Texas didn't score 6 points with McCoy, they scored ZERO. He was hurt on the 1st drive of the game. Gilbert was shellshocked for 2 quarters and if anyone gave this game away it was UT with that ridiculous shovel pass disaster at the end of the half. Despite all the errant throws, turnovers and general mistakes, it was still a 3 point game with 2 minutes to go. If one of the best college QBs in the nation couldn't make a 3 point difference over a true freshman, then I don't know what to tell you.
  7. I'll say it: I like Nickelback. And I liked Creed. My Own Prison was a great album.
  8. Yeah, what a jackass. Guy plays 4 years to get back to the moment where he can be the one to lead his team to a NATL title and a freak injury forces him to watch a winnable game get flushed down the toilet. Plus all that classy giving credit to his team, Gilbert and Alabama. Some of yall are pretty sorry....
  9. Good find. His "Things I Think" lists are ridiculous. I liked in that one how he didn't want to give up a 1st round pick that could be RON DAYNE and how Tedy (Genuflect) Bruschi was certainly to be lost in free agency. Clown. Always has been, always will be.
  10. Cool idea. I think we should also mail Cowher this so the next time he is "walking is dog in NC" instead of flying to Buffalo, he'll think of us.
  11. I think someone should register that here as a username.
  12. I think Dolphins would love to play him 2x a year. I'm sorry...the guy might have had some bad luck in Miami, but that year was so abysmal that I couldn't imagine giving him a shot especially seeing how we have struck out 3 times in a row.
  13. I don't know how it looks in person, but from the google maps view, the yield sign seems set way far back. I'd think it would be clearer if it were further up on the curve. At least you don't have to hunt the guy down and beat his ass now.
  14. Yeah I loved how he would use all of his vacation time away from the Air Force to come to training camp. Then he finally fulfills his service, comes to the team full-time, plays half-way decent in a limited role and we cut him. I just looked it up and he lasted until the 2008 season. Pretty impressive for the long-shot Air Force guy. Great story...
  15. Well you wanted percentages....and since I'm a nice guy, a quick, rough count gives me: Don't like the idea - 13 Don't think he is interested - 6 Likes the idea - 0 It looks like 0% to me. Sorry bud...I think you may be in the minority here.
  16. Filmel Johnson Honorable mention to Bryce Fisher and Yonel Jourdain (good call on the Madden skills).
  17. That was one of the first few Bills games I can vividly remember. Ronnie Harmon is my first bad Bills memory. However, my hard drive is getting full of bad Bills memories. If this current trend of the last decade continues much longer, I may forget about that game altogether.
  18. Best QB in college football, best arm strength/accuracy combo in the draft, played in a pro-style offense....28 TDs, 4 INTs (THREE off deflections). AND.... he did it all on a busted wheel. Trade up, Buddy, trade up...
  19. If you were making a right off of Davis onto Park (coming from the bottom of the screen) there is a yield sign for you (do the Street View). Unless I misinterpreted your direction, it sounds like he had the right of way. It's kind of counter-intuitive that a driver making a left across traffic would have the RoW over you just sliding up the right, but that's how it works around me anyways. Other Guy 1 EZC 0
  20. Jeff Quinn to Buffalo Another hit for Cincy...although who knows if he was going to be retained anyway. Indirectly, this is possibly a huge hit to Notre Dame as well. Quinn had been with Kelly for 20+ years and it was widely presumed that Kelly would be recruiting him to ND after Cincy's bowl game. I know Kelly calls his plays anyway, but I would have liked his right-hand man to accompany him. Sounds like UB might have gotten a good coach though. We'll see...
