  1. shoulda thought of that too young...thanks man
  2. 9 yds a carry. He should have won the MVP anyway. It was a joke that they gave it to Otis Anderson. If only Kelly wasn't so damn stubborn.
  3. On the links at the left, there is a title about Lebron James' comeback last night from an ankle injury. It reads: "Lebron's Willis-like toughness inspires Cavs" Is this referencing McGahee or like Kevin Willis or something? Found it kind of interesting...maybe I'm just too hungover
  4. How could Flutie/Losman be #1?? We all saw how graciously Flutie took his demotion to a younger QB last time around.. Its not like it tore the team apart or anything....
  5. Sadly they/we have no control over the excessive coddling you/they (depending on your age) are allowing to stand. The kids don't make the rules....
  6. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Only play I didn't see (maybe I missed it in the excitement) was McGahee jumping over the guy in the Rams game and somehow landing inbounds. What a monster Spikes was this year.... Thanks!
  7. Well when "fans" refer to their former demi-gods as "pieces of sh*t", "worthless" , "pussies" , "dipshits", etc, etc, etc...I wouldn't really blame a player for not becoming too emotionally attached to the fanbase. They'd be crazy to....
  8. I can't imagine not choosing the big game. Just being there made my blood electric. The thought that you are one win from it all is an adrenaline pumper. Why would you want to miss out on all that even if didn't turn out? It's like saying I'd rather finish 3rd than 2nd or I'd rather not try than try and fail.
  9. I try to think about it like this. Wouldn't you feel worse if the Dolphins were on the verge of their 3rd Super Bowl title in 4 years? I think I might have already killed myself after last January. The Pats will always be Scott Zolaks team to me....
  10. McGahee looked like such badass at the U with that orange tinted oakley deal. The clear one just looks like a lame substitute. You guys remember Barry Sanders wearing an orange shaded one? It looked weird as hell I thought. Not nearly as cool as the Miami ones.
  11. Agreed. What a baby. Funnier was how he couldn't get it out of his pants at first.
  12. I was at the game. Our seats were parallel to the goal posts (way up in the corner). I couldn't tell if it went through. So I looked at the scoreboard and waited for it to change. Just waited......and waited.....and waited. Eyes glued to the board. Longest 3 seconds of my life.
  13. Not if that damn snow falls. I know Vick has won in Lambeau, but I would not bet on him if he's playing the best team in the NFC and there is a foot of snow on the ground with subzero temps.
  14. Oh I very much agree with you that he should DEF be able to support a family off that kind of money. I will say this though: Milloy is in the upper echelon of players and salaries. I doubt there are very many NFL players who had either the cash or discipline to invest such a great amount of money. Remember, a lot of these players are getting this money at such a young age and for a lot of them, it is probably the first time they have been able to spend. It would take extreme restraint and discipline to put off the desire to splurge and live it up in favor of an investment. Not impossible, but not nearly automatic either. And my main point is that I have no qualms with someone wanting to be paid what they feel they are worth in their profession. This does not exclude pro athletes, musicians, actors, etc. just because they make a lot more on average.
  15. I change my vote. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again.
  16. Exactly. If you make 30,000 a year or 3,000,000, you are still going to want what you think is your "fair market value." People act is if just becuase the amount of money is different, the principle is not. If you thought you were one of the best employees at your company, but you saw others in the same fields either at your company or a competitor's making more than you, I'm betting it would not sit right. This doesn't change when the dollars go up or down. Additionally, people get used to living a lifestyle that their financial situation can afford them. For the most part, people who make 1,000,000 per year do not act as if they make 40,000. They have a nicer car, bigger house, higher property taxes, etc. The argument that they do not need to live that way is totally subjective. I bet people who make far less could find ways to make the money go further. You got cable? Satellite TV? Nice stereo? DVD collection? Season tix? ETC, ETC, ETC. Now also imagine that your job only allows you to work for a maximum of 10 years (and 3-4 on the average). Could you make enough money to last the rest of your life? Who knows? But I think it's a little unfair to judge someone else's situation because it appears to be easier. Rant done.
  17. He sure didn't mince words when speaking on the Pats.
  18. If anyone could help me here, please let me know. I have HP Pavillion with a DVD-Rom and CD-RW drive. All of a sudden, neither drives work!! When I put a CD or DVD in the DVD bay, it just says there is no disk present. When I put a CD in the CD drive, it says, "drive busy" and then eventually "no disk in drive." What gives? Is there a way I can remove the holders and somehow clean the lense or is that even a possible problem? Am I basically gonna have to suck it up and take it to Best Buy and get bent over? I appreciate anything yall can give me.
  19. I dont know why but that cracked me up. Maybe its that damn goofy expression on Peyton's face when he says it.
