  1. wow. Yeah, I had my fair share of shady dealing in Jamaica. Some f'd up sh*t down there. I've heard Vallarta is more resortish though.
  2. Yes, rich. Rich from working construction at 5am all summer.
  3. After reading that depressing thread about how life is going to end in 10 years, I thought I'd just bask in my reckless youth for a moment. Spring break starts tommorrow at 7am for me and my buddies. Four of us heading to Puerto Vallarta for a week of straight chaos. The weather sucks, work sucks, ND basketball sucks, the Bills won't sign anyone or do anything news worthy.....but its all just an afterthought. Now here is where I need you all. Give me your spring break stories. Where did you go? What crazy stupid sh-- did you do? It's just gonna pump me up more. Plus those of you who are feeling old, this will make you remember your glory days. I went to Negril freshman year and it was the craziest week of my life. damn cant wait bring em on guys!
  4. I don't know if the Bears necessarily want him back, but I think they have decided on Thomas Jones as their starter. A-Train had his shot but he was erratic.
  5. I think that is an excellent explanation. It only works however, if the team is willing to lose the player to someone else, which it appears the Bills are prepared to do if it comes down to that. One thing about TD (and I like it), he will never rush or be forced into something before he is ready.
  6. Actually pretty interesting format. They rank 92 pro sports franchises (NHL was excluded). Bills are #15....not too bad. Rankings
  7. Blaylock is a UFA? He has just become my most wanted pickup. He would be a sick #2 and with the depth of good RBs available in FA and draft, its likely that he will realize that he wont be getting a starting job. Plus the ST aspect is huge IMO. I am all for getting as many ST aces as possible. This really could be one of the great ST units in the league for awhile. I remember that sick feeling I used to get whenever we kicked off, thinking "Is this the one they are gonna bring back 103 yds?" I love that the tables have turned.
  8. That sucks Fez. Actually makes me feel better about chipping my tooth though. All I'm gonna need is a crown. But if I don't take extra care to keep it clean, then I'm in your boat. Guess I'm lucky. Hope it all goes well.
  9. No I'm sorry...THIS is Jim Kleinsasser Kleinsasser Whats more interesting is that ESPN.com does not even list Jonas as being a player in the NFL. Probably why they couldn't find his picture.
  10. I think the Pats players are loyal because they like winning Super Bowls.... Having said that, I still think its a bad idea to dump key team guys. You can only plug holes for so long, and you can make up for talent, not leadership.
  11. Well I'd like to say that I have higher standards than the average Pats fan.
  12. Absolutely no interest in that cheap shot artist. Its not just Cowart he nailed (which ultimately ended what could have been an amazing career). Just ask some Jets fans what they think of that POS.
  13. I was always intrigued by Gore. He does obviously have a lot of talent. I kept waiting for him to blow up, but the injuries never went away. I wouldn't mind taking a shot at him, but I would prefer a guy who produced and stayed relatively healthy. Plus, I never compared them at the U, but why do you think he is a better pass blocker than Willis? I had zero complaints with McGahee's ability to pick up the correct blitzer. For a virtual rookie, I can't see how one would do a better job than he did.
  14. Ted Washington took a cut I believe Edit: Yes in fact he did. He took one after the 2000 season and then was cut because he didnt want to take another pay cut the next offseason. Holocek restructured too...but I don't know if he took a cut. And I believe he was released anyway.
  15. I think John Chaney is living his own worst punishment. His legacy is slowing crumbling and honestly some people will remember him for this instead of his decades of excellent coaching. And perhaps rightfully so. I remember his blowup with Calipari in which he basically said the exact same thing he said before the St. Joes games "XXX did this so I sent my boy to go after him." There is no place in sports for actions like his and history will judge him accordingly. Having said that I have two comments. 1. I wouldn't mind seeing him fired. But I truly feel that an action like that would just an afterthought. It might also be an easy way for him to step out of the spot light. But I don't really know. 2. I strongly disagree with the idea that Bryant's parents should try to profit off of this. St. Joes will cover all his medical bills so that is taken care of (Chaney even offered to foot the bill and righfully so). I could see a minor personal damages claim, but I think if some greasy glory-hound lawyer tried to spin this into a case where a future NBA star was cost millions of dollars, it would tarnish the entire situation. John Bryant was not an NBA prospect, he wasn't a college star. It is disgusting that he was robbed of his final collegiate games, but I truly hope this situation is not blown into something larger than it should be.
  16. Disagree. He might be a distraction, but he would definitely give it his all. He would be a fool to half ass it if he had a chance to showcase his stuff in a contract year.
  17. While his weekly dunking highlight is fuggin bad, I can't say that he is a better PF than Simien. Wayne is more complete and polished player, as well as a far better NBA prospect, IMO. Warrick could change that if he decided to locate Cuse's weightroom and use it. I would leave it between Warrick and May to battle for #2 PF. May would be clearly ahead if he didnt play like a girl. The body he has and fades away constantly.
  18. FOUR Oscars......Actress, Supp. Actor, Director and Film. Has anyone seen it? Is it really that good? I am definitely gonna check it out now. On a side note, I thought Foxx's speech was very good.
  19. Did you live in a city? How the hell did you get around from 16-20? I honestly can't picture high school w/o having a car...
  20. It looks good Scott. I mean it serves its purpose, definitely stands out. I guess though that I just never really saw the big deal. I never viewed discerning OTs from Bills posts as a challenge. Subtle clues in the thread titles like "What song are you listening to right now" always kinda tipped me off that it wasnt about football. That said, good work. The board really is evolving.
  21. I'd drop 50 on the Bills at 30 to 1. I know I'd probably be throwing it away, but I suffer from Chris Berman Syndrome. Every year when my dad and I do our football prediction pool, I just can't resist picking the Bills to win the Super Bowl (actually at least Chris has finally given up on us). Its like that scene in Liar Liar when he tries to write "The Pen is Red." I just cant control it. Edit: I forgot to answer your question. Yes, I am sure it is purely the result of Bledsoe leaving. I dont think Vegas thinks very highly of unproven QBs' chances in a Super Bowl, even if they are replacing an average vet.
  22. That was a good article....and definitely funny analogy. There were actually a few interesting analogies, I liked this one too: ...but in the NFL, the words "you've been franchised" are akin to "you've got head lice."
  23. Oh I know. And you are right, it is a moot point beause of the F Tag. Just thought I'd share....
