  1. LT has at least 2 i can think of. There was one where the team was stretching and the equipment guy kept accidentally firing off the cannon, scaring the cheerleaders. I think it a Madden commercial And more recently, he was one of the headliners for the new Nike Pro Apparel which is competing against UnderArmor. You know, the one with the weird masks? Edit....plus he had one for ESPN the magazine. The ones where they claimed the magazine could read minds.
  2. I must say I am kind of on the fence with this one. For the women's defense, I agree that Vick must have to disclose that kind of information (if he had it) before they have sex. To knowingly put another person in a position to be infected is wrong. I mean how many of you defend people with HIV that knowingly spread the disease. On the other hand, I do tend to think that she should have some responsibility too. However, I know condoms reduce the possibility of the transmission of herpes, but they don't block it. They are contraceptives, not kevlar vests. I think that overall she is right, he should have disclosed. Whether they used a condom or not, who knows what her decision would have been if she knew. Then finally, if Mike Vick doesn't play pro ball and make 100+ million, then this lawsuit never happens. He gets slapped, cursed out and maybe a brick thrown at his car. She's just lookin for her piece....and I personally don't think anyone deserves millions of dollars (which she might very well get) for getting herpes. JMHO.... Also I do agree with Big Cat, this will settle verrrrrry quickly.
  3. If that happens then I give TD another pat on the back. Basically, he is calling Green's bluff, maintaining his opinion of Henry's value and once again getting us the best deal available. Say what you want about him, TD is not the kind of guy a used-car saleman wants to see.
  4. You think we are holding out trading Henry for a backup to scare Mike Williams into not being fat? I agree with you in that I am not convinced of Shelton's prowess as a LT, but I don't think we have the talent on our OL to trade for backups. But who knows? Maybe he won't be good enough to start. McNally will tell us.
  5. Nice review! Thanks for the info.
  6. Why is it that the spot teams pick in varies from round to round? I understand that it can get thrown off from comp picks but for example, why is our pick (that we traded to Dallas) #20 in the first round, but then #23 in the second rd.? Does the order change among teams of the same record when a trade is involved? Like because Dallas' record was worse that 9-7, they get to pick before all the other 9-7 teams with our pick regardless of where we would have fallen in that group?
  7. I think its like 500 or 1000. Af 500, you can change the "rookie" title to anything you want though.
  8. I agree with BillsNYC that Christie is a possibility. I didn't see any kickers pre-Norwood, but I've seen the ones post-Christie. He was clutch and before they switched KO tees, he wasn't bad on touchbacks. If he had played in a dome, who knows what his stats would have been like? Has the franchise ever had a better kicker? How good was Gogolak?
  9. Most crotchety? Nah. I'd say all in all your just another prick in the wall.
  10. It was only 2 people. I guess I was generalizing (same thing I accused othes of) . Just bothers me.... And I've been to Mexico, and I have no real desire to go back either.
  11. I agree. I never said it wasn't right to be upset about those terrible comments. Those chants/actions are inexcusable in my book too. It's the "Well now I hate all of Mexico" attitude that troubles me.
  12. Ah yes this makes a lot of sense. Let's spew hatred for an entire ethnic group/country based on the drunken actions of some @sshole soccer fans. When I was in Pittsburgh for the 96 playoff game, I was like 12 years old, some Steeler fan told me go F myself (grown man too). So obviously now I hate all steeler fans, Pittsburgh residents, and anyone who lives in Western PA. Grow up people.
  13. ....is just like every other player who is treated like a piece of trash by the same people who lost their voices cheering for him just a short time ago. And people wonder why there is very little player-team loyalty in professional sports.
  14. "You finally brought me and my family down. ... So now go pick a different person." "You guys wanted to hurt me bad enough, you finally got me." Yes, Barry, its the media's fault.
  15. One of my best friends had his pro day today on campus. I don't know how many of you know who Justin Tuck is (unless your an Irish fan then you damn well know him). Anyway, he ran a 4.69 on grass which is damn good for a D-Lineman. He has run in the 4.55 range on hard surface. He also had a 37" vertical. The boy is an athletic freak. Not many like him. Anyway his stock really increased today, lookin like a 1st rounder for sure. I dunno just exciting to have one of my boys about to play pro ball, and be a top pick at that. Makes me wish we had a first round pick and need at DL. Bart
  16. Christie, Holocek and Henry Jones (i believe) all voiced displeasure by their surprise releases. Holocek even went as far as to say that there is a whole lot of dishonesty with TD and the front office. This is something that I don't like about TD. But at the end of the day, football is a business like anything else.
  17. I don't know who has heard the story of those MIT guys who developed a team play card counting technique, but it is an amazing story. The book came out a few years ago and I guess its been pretty hot. My roommate read it a few weeks ago so I took it down to Mexico and read it on the flights. Some crazy sh--. These guys basically took card counting and created a team concept and worked in groups. They took Vegas and many other casinos for several million dollars over the course of a few years (others before them probably made even more). To anyone who has ever played cards or gambled, it is exciting stuff. It has probably made Vegas some decent coin too since many people probably believe they can beat the system after reading it. Anyway, to those who read it, what did you think? And to those who have not, I would highly recommend as a nice easy, but exciting read. Really makes you wanna scheme and look for that quick dollar.
  18. Back from one amazing week in Mexico only to return to a foot of snow. So I see we signed Holcomb, which I think is a great insurance policy for JP. Also we nabbed Gandy. I liked him when he was at ND and I thought this was a great pickup. However, when I read the threads here, it doesn't seem that anyone here projects him as a starter. I mean the man can play guard or tackle. He also has good time at LT. But some people would rather have Teague or Peters play LT? I don't understand. Was he brought here for depth? Whats the consensus here? Anything else? Are yall still acting nice or did I miss a few killer fights? Good to be back
