  1. with regards to the whole pizza thing, I think it really shows how the league and perhaps society has changed. This weekend one player tested positive for steroids, one tested positive for bud when he knew he would be tested and one certain OSU running back had enough character issues to go around. -Castillo was a first round pick -Hawthorne paid the price -Clarett was picked WAAAY higher than people said he should. But the main point is that in the cases of the steroids and marijuana, there were countless people saying that "it was a one time mistake" or "he fessed up and he is ready to move on, don't punish him." And I agree with those sentiments for the most part. IMO, it really makes Moulds' "issues" for ordering a friggin pizza seem laughable in comparison.
  2. Yeah I figured I had it wrong (someone else recalled correctly as well) because the game I was referring to was more straight up running. I do not remember much of the phins AFC Champ game besides I was pissed when we let up that late TD. 29-3 would have been sweeeeeet.
  3. I'll say one thing for him, 3 years ago when ND was kicking the sh-- out of FSU in Tallahassee, McPherson came in with like 5 minutes left and marched the team down the field TWICE for 2 TDs. Yeah our defense had backed off somewhat, but it was impressive. Made the game a lot closer than it should have been. I remember thanking Bowden for leaving Rix in for the first 55 minutes....
  4. You ain't kidding. Buy a real fuggin suit Merill! It's bad enough we have to listen to your inane drivel, but you could at least look like a professional.
  5. Thats the first thing I thought of. Wildcard game, 96 playoffs. We rushed for 300+ if I recall correctly. Thurman had like 150, Holmes 100.....Christ, even Tim Tindale was breaking big ones. But I recall that being just more up the gut running and whole bunch of counter-treys (oh what another sweet play!!)
  6. I wish I could remember that specific game as well. My memory is just a collection of scenes in which Thurman would catch the ball, stop for a second a scan the field, accelerate full speed and then shove one of his OLs into an oncoming tackler and picking up another 8-10 yds. And pleasantly enough, most of these memories involve white and aqua shirts. good times, good times...
  7. I tell you, I miss the regular old RB screen. Nothing was prettier than watching Thurmal rip off 15-20 at a time. IMO, no RB I have ever seen used his blockers in the open field as well as TT. I'd love to see Willis get a few cracks at it. Of course, we don't have Richter, Hull, Wolford, Davis or Ballard pulling out and leading the way either. But about the WR screen, if JP can pull it off, I think that could be a GREAT play for our newest WR.
  8. If you could, I bet you wouldn't be posting here.
  9. Well the part I like is that while we didn't get Nugent, it is now apparent that we are looking to upgrade the kicker. I was worried that TD did not see it is an issue, given his non-chalant attitude towards kickers in the past. ps---thanks for the info!
  10. Thats a funny list. What's funnier though, is that if you compiled a list of the draft experts predictions, they would blow these ones out of the water in terms of inaccuracy.
  11. For those who voted for Rodgers (perfectly fair in my mind), did you do so because you think he will be a better QB, or because you are not sure but having an extra 2nd and 5th gives him the edge?
  12. I think this group has a lot of potential and I did believe Mike Williams was the best player in the draft, but to call it the best young group in decades is a little much I think. There is a similar WR corp in the same conference Boldin-------------Roy Fitzgerald---------Mike Johnson-----------Rogers (if he cannot stay healthy)
  13. Why not Wilkerson? Didn't people want him in round 2 or 3?
  14. Yeah I did notice it went away when the coverage switched to the deuce. For sure....
  15. Just expressing my appreciation..... sorry forgot the OT button...fixed
  16. I agree totally. I especially did not like the lack of a constant ticker. Usually there is a scrolling list of the current round going by constantly. Plus the crew seemed especially rusty this year. And why Merrill Hoge is gainfully employed will forever escape me. Overall.....C-
  17. Great time for a milestone during the most exciting days of the offseason. Thanks TBD....for several years you have provided me with hundreds of Bills brothers (and sisters) to cheer with and B word at. I don't know many Bills fans so I am grateful for a place like this. GO BILLS!!!!
  18. He's actually in jail now, though I heard rumors of him switching to QB and setting up a prison game sometime soon. Say around.....May 27th.
  19. apparently not since he will be traded or cut before camp But about Reyes, yes I like him a lot. Thought he was a good back at Cuse. Scored FIVE TDs against us 2 years ago.
  20. I like the kid at the end who has the potato or rock with sticks in it for show and tell. He looks around and hides it...
  21. yeah i remember them saying that, but i think its weird that they were the only ones i've ever heard who mentioned WR and Kevin Everett in the same sentence.
  22. Everett weird..... and from Miami-Hurricanes.com: Tight end Kevin Everett had big shoes to fill at the TE position for the Hurricanes, having to follow Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow Jr. Everett is a big tight end who has a lot of power and possesses good quickness to get upfield. He ran a 4.79 in the 40-yard dash. Everett2
  23. Assumes LJ will be cut huh? Or doesn't like him at all. I'd bet on the 6/1 cut.
