He better lift a few weights too...

I think that would actually be a good trade for Philly if T.O. is really serious about sitting out. Porter can be a very good #1 and he won't have as much baggage.

People say the offseason is the slow, boring time around here.... When yall are done with the popcorn, go the fridge and grab a few beers.

PERFECT.

It was beautiful here about a week and a half ago....mid-high 70s and sunny for like 4 days straight. You can usually count those days on one hand for the whole summer. Good thing my truck has no A/C....

You damn right. I'd guess I'm about 1-2 hours south of you (southern chester county) and it is currently 91....heat index 99 Give me those 100+ dry heat days in AZ any day...

Herniated disc in neck
bartshan-83 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My girlfriend's father had that procedure (or a similar one) done in early spring. I believe he had two collapsed disks in his neck and it was causing numbness in his arm and pain in his neck (obviously). They essentially inserted a metal plate in between each vertebre and bolted them together as to simulate the discs that had collapsed. His doctor told him that he could not go back to work for 12 weeks (because he does manual labor) but he is a restless, stubborn man and he returned to light duty within 3 weeks and I believe full duty within 6 weeks. So far, no complaints. He said the numbness and pain were gone instantly upon his waking up from the procedure. He had trouble speaking for a few weeks because they went in through his throat, but beyond that he is doing very well (knock on wood). Hope everything works out for your sister-in-law. -
So is the rest of the NY Giants team.... I agree though, I miss Steve.

What would Losman have to do to...
bartshan-83 replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of you basically mentioned tangible, statistical accomplishments that would have JP pass Kelly. While I agree that a Super Bowl win would challenge Kelly alone, its not really those kind of things that made Kelly my favorite QB. Mainly, it was his presence. His attitude. His moxy. When you looked into his eyes, you knew there was a guy who would never quit. He was a linebacker with a QBs arm. He would stand in the pocket until the last second and deliver a pass with such conviction that sometimes you just knew it was gonna be a first down. I even liked his bad qualities. He was stubborn, cocky and hot-headed. He was so sure of himself he would try passes most would be afraid of. He would make you scream and curse his name, but he would also make you dance and sing SHOUT as loud as you could. He was the consummate brash and fearless leader. And he made you believe. That is what I remember about Jim Kelly, that is what I wish JP will become and that is what he must do if he wishes to dethrone the king. yeah and throw in a Super Bowl.... -
Has an amateur ever won a pro event before? It would be pretty cool if that happened. I mean obviously she defaults the prize money, but having a name on a trophy with the little (A) next to it would be pretty cool I think.

Star Wars acting wasn't the worst so far
bartshan-83 replied to VABills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So let me get this straight. In your top 10 lists you panned THREE Brad Pitt movies that are widely acclaimed as being very good (and some of his best) and you did NOT like either of the first 2 star wars movies. YET, you still went and paid probably $8-9 each to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith AND SW III. And you wonder why Hollywood can keep putting "bad" movies out? -
Where did you find those over/under bets? You bet online or you got a guy?

Oh I know man. He loves him. I realize I worded that kind of awkwardly, it was more of a general "you" not him. Thanks though.....i'm gonna fix it

I'm with ya there man...

Re: John, I would be willing to bet that many here do not like Kobe (myself included) not simply because he is an adulterer and alleged rapist, but because of his perceived attitude. He drove apart a team that could have been "the team to beat" for another 3-4 years. His ego was so big that he couldn't even work with a coach that co-existed with the biggest ego of them all, MJ. Add that to his off-court troubles and you have an unpopular dude. Plus, he had that squeaky clean good guy image for so long that I think many people were just waiting for him to screw up and were happy when he did. For people whose basis for hating Kobe Bryant is simply that he cheated on his wife, I wonder how you can stomach watching professional sports at all. Re: Horry He does have an amazing way of staying cool at the hottest of times. He is amazing in that regard. Calling him the greatest clutch player of all time is a little much in my opinion though.

Good ol George. I'm tryin to go see him in AC in July.

I feel that totally. I took my girl to see the longest yard last weekend. 2 tickets 1 large popcorn 2 small sodas 1 candy $38 I mean thats a reasonable price for a date, but for 90 minutes of Adam Sandler.....eh, not quite.

What a joke this is. This is the EXACT same thing that dozens of you lavishly praised our new savior QB for doing just a few months ago. Everyone (or most people) here thought it was so "cool" that JP stopped and calmly addressed the kid at the PC and basically asked him why he was being an ass. This is EXACTLY was Cruise just did. Someone did something rude or classless to him (whether it was funny or not is not the point) and he handled it in a mature way. All he would have had to do is call the camera guy "Big Cat" and the imitation would have been complete. If it was a Bills player in this video and not a pretty-boy scientology nut that is everyone's newest love-to-hate target, the reaction would have been much different. Judge the situation, not the person.

And we think the Buffalo writers have run out of material.....

This is all retarded because it's a non-issue. The NBA will not cancel games; the lockout will not last into the season. Those who hate it, keep on hating. Those who like it, it will be there next year.

A person who posts about driving 30 miles in the middle of the night to get a CD complaining about wasted bandwith?......made me laugh.

I got mine this morning. It was simply a UPS F-up. Its funny though cause when I checked the tracking # status, UPS's reason for not delivering it was that I was not there to sign for it. But about the jersey, it its sweeeet. Ya know it actually reminds me of the previous design as well (80s-2002). I guess you will always love the jersey you first saw your team wearing. That design will always be my favorite. I love it though and I can't wait until I see them wearing it in 3 months.
