  1. Yes. This is exactly correct!!
  2. by speaking out in the offseason he reduces his value and undermines the trade he wants to see accomplished. he was foolish to wine and complain at this point. the draft is 4 weeks away. What is the rush? Drew Bledsoe was released so they did not have to make a bonus payment. there was no trade market for him, since everyone knew this. Henry has value. TD is trying to maximize value, no thanks to henry or his agent. That is my problem with him now.
  3. henry and his agent are showing their level of intelligence. TD has always said he will trade henry. a little patience is all it will take. henry is not thinking before he speaks. Diarea of the mouth and constipation of the brain, I believe is appropriate comment about henry.
  4. No recent media reports indicate this. I also believe that it is Travis holding up the trade with high contract expectations. I would like to see this addressed by TD, Travis or Arizona. I think Travis is trying to stir up the pot.
  5. the buffalo news article does not mention Henry's desire for a contract extension, or Arizona's desire to give one. Which party is wanting an extension - Henry or Arizona? Is that what is really holding up a deal? Maybe TD is waiting for that to play out?
  6. That is the most important part about the trade not happening I believe. Henry has shown he is not an intelligent guy by agreeing to the contract extension a couple of years ago.
  7. what did you expect?
  8. the bills would not have the cap room to consider trading for james can not afford to pay two number 1 running backs james is not looking for backup money. I can not see this happening
  9. if peerless gets cut by ATL look for him to end up in Dallas with Bledsoe. Dallas is missing a speed receiver. All I can say about Willis is = I can't wait til next year!
  10. way too many ifs! we could not afford Woodson. I think Clements may be better anyway. At least he has not been injured often. I would be happy with henry for Shelton trade straight up.
  11. i'd be happy with any of those five. Obviously it is unlikely that they will be around for pick 55.
  12. it is very easy to say "I wanted to stay" after the fact. Jonas could have approached the Bills with a reasonable offer and I am sure the Bills would have responded. Jennings was obviously out for the cash grab. Why would a player sign with the 49er's?
  13. thanks for the info
  14. the problem is if we sign Law, there will be no cap room left. Our offense would be very suspect.
  15. also would love to have Law. Not what the Bills need though. Offense requires line help, back up RB and QB. I don't think the cap dollars are there. I voted no. Would be excited though if it happend. We would have to win a lot of 10-7 games.
  16. Since we don't seem to have any FA action going now, this draft site has a two round projection. Munoz from Tenn. would provide us some depth at OT. http://www.gbnreport.com/2005projection.htm
  17. same thing happened last year. very excited and not much happened. many of the important signings happen later in the year. many of the more important acquisitions are trades which happen later as well. remember Dillon and Owens LY. we have to sit back and have faith that TD knows what he is doing.
  18. Travis did not lose his job because of injury. He lost his job because he failed. Two examples - Oakland, tripped on the goal line. New England - 3rd down before the Bledsoe botched bootleg, he tripped again when there was a huge hole. Henry continuously showed he was not capable of blocking. Henry is definately a step below Willis. He is capable, but does not have the potential to be a superstar. Last year people were unsure how Willis would perform. We know now that he is better. BTW, I thought this issue was over months ago?
  19. exactly, clarett quit on all the other evaluations after the 40. It shows his character is very questionable.
  20. This site has three mock drafts for your viewing pleasure http://www.football.com/draft/2005/Piemonte_mock.shtml One shows a two rounder. I would be estatic with the Bills getting the tackle from Washington. Not likely to be around though.
  21. if pittsburg called and said "we give up" then you can run right in the centre of the line. Otherwise the play was fine and Pitt should have stopped them. Who cares if you lose by 21 or 14 - you lost. these are professionals not 8 year old kids. stop your PC crying
  22. Today looks good, hopefully the Jaguar game won't matter!!
