Because letting someone die naturally and feeding her a lethal injection and essentially murdering her are two completely different things, thats why. She's a human being, not a sick, stray cat. And contrary to what PETA and some "enlightened" folks say, there IS a difference between the two. Honestly, I dont know where I stand on this issue, but Ill bet dollars to doughnuts that if it was YOUR kid or my kid sitting in that bed and we got anything more than a nose twitch when when whispered her name in her ear, we'd be fighting tooth and nail to keep her alive. Either way, watching vultures like Tom Dobson swarm in with his "flock" sickens me. Its the families' business to work out. Nobody elses.

Actually, there is a misconception about this thing being a "waste of time". Baseball has been granted a monopoly (antitrust exemption) by Congress, which makes it their responsibility to regulate the game. So Congress is well within their bounds to hold these hearings. But if you spent any time on them yesterday, it was easy to see they were the biggest farce ever. The Congressmen were ill prepared and spent half the time kissing the players asses. I think one even brough a McGwire rookie card for him to sign! It was a complete joke and if any indication of how things go on in Congress, its no wonder this Country is so screwed up.

Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
RkFast replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And why I mentioned a REPUBLICAN attack machine in my initial response. But we are all just "partisan hacks" jerking off to those "perfect" Republicans. Whatever. And whats even MORE funny is that this thread was a pretty good debate of the issue and what we all think about it until GENE stepped in and told Bishop to take his ball and go home. So in essense, the guy that killed the thread is the same person who is bitching that threads around here die too often! Priceless. -
Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
RkFast replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What "attacks"? All anyone is saying is that this is typical fare in today's media and a BS story reported using the same, tired, biased BS tactics employed by both parties. THAT is an attack? Give it a rest. -
So he's going to "Pound It in the Ass Prison"????

Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
RkFast replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exactly. Little weird what went on? Definitely. Is this whole issue a complete partisan, biased, half-true, exaggerated hack job non-story that ranks right up there with the Swifties and the Bush Nat Guard thingy? Ab-so-!@#$ing-lutely. THATS why it hant gotten more attention. Because most with even half a brain can see this for what it is. -
Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
RkFast replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
LOL....very cute. How about the fact that all the "heat" for this is coming from "liberal" bloggers? How about the whole sordid connection to the gay websites? As if THAT has anything to do with the issue here. How about that most of the "official" statements from govt. officials is coming from...tada!.....Democrats? -

Welcome to the modern age...where what type of person you like to bang defines your character completely. My fave is bisexuals and how they are lumped in with other "minority" groups. As if they deserve special treatment with education and jobs becuase they like to !@#$ men and women. -
Jeff Gannon: White House press room scandal?
RkFast replied to Bishop Hedd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It didnt gain steam because its a bull sh-- story. When there is as much dirty laundry behind the reporting of a story as there is behind the story itself, then its typically ignored. -
The education union, always a left-leaning intitution, putting out unfair ads against the Republican Governor. Gotta love partisan hacks. And before you freak out, Im well-aware this BS goes both ways.
-
Key point of difference is that in any other religion, these barbaric practices and passages have been rendered pretty much irrelevant and are ignored. But in Islam, in many parts of the world, they are still accepted, practiced and condoned.

What day is it today in "Leftist Looney Land"? Is it A) Bush is a Simpleton Idiot Without a clue Day or B) Bush is a Brilliant Nazi with Designs of Taking over the World Day or C) Bush is Satan Day or D) Bush is Responsible for Everything Bad Day. Its hard to keep track sometimes. -
I have some friends who trade commodities here in NYC on a few different exchanges and I can tell you that if loons like this made it to the floor of any of them, they would get their asses handed to them as well. Think about it....is there any WORSE group of people you want to take on than a bunch of men already physically worked up from the rigors of trading high-value commodites live and have a limited amount of time to do it? These traders dont even tolerate someone asking them "Whats for lunch?" from someone they dont know, let alone some leftist envio-whacko trying to stop them from trading $400,000 worth of oil, or even cotton or coffee futures.

Greenhouse Gases DO cause Global Warming
RkFast replied to Chilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Come on, Darin...he's "tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others". You know....like the "idiots" who dont agree with his POV on the Greenhouse Effect. -
Mick posts a long manifesto, pats himself on the back that he posted a long manifesto, and then gets defensive when someone has the unmitigated gall to post a retort. And dont forget that sneaky inclusion of just a thimble full of "the other point of view" so that if someone DARE call him "biased" on an issue, he can point to that five word "other point of view" as "proof" that he isnt, as if those five words outweigh the other 5,000. Yep, its just like the PPP! Seriously...calm down Mr. Important. You took a negative POV of Losman's career, which is fine. All I did was say "OK, now here's a positive spin." Nothing more, nothing less. Relax.

What a load of crapola. Run this tripe past the poor slob, his wife and three kids who has a $3,000/month mortgage and another $2,000/month in expenses, minimum.
