The balance of power allows the Administration free reign to conduct illegal activity? What about past Administration who had serious funny business going on? How did Bill and Hillary get away with all of their misgivings back in the day? Surely their party didnt hold sway over everything when they were in the WH. As usual...always back to "Bush bad"...the one trick pony. Everything was peechy keen and "done right" until the terrible Bush got in office.

Ah, so it was "only the bad ones" protesting, huh? See....youre part of the problem!

Watching CNN cover the protests last night, it sure was heartwarming watching all the MS-13 and other gang hand signals being flashed to the cameras, pretty much to a man.

This ought to generate some controversy

Saying "they do it too" is....by nature....NOTING THAT THE PRACTICE IS COMMON. So basically, weve learned today that its not whats said, its how its said. Ya gotta love getting debate/posting instructions from someone who uses "Im right because youre an idiot" as the basis for everything he puts forth, even when he agrees with you. -

I dont see that. I dont see anyone called an anti-Semite when they bash the U.S.' relationship with Israel. What I do see is a lot of people, myself included, saying its typical for lots of folks to "blame the Jews" as a fallback. -

Funny....some 'idiot' said the same thing a few posts up. -
Absolutely. Its what makes Force so awesome. They are as "big money" as you can get, but still run that team and drive that car like they are running a street Camaro at a local Chevy meet out in the sticks.

Hey, SnR....we share a birthday. I knew I liked you for some reason.

When its a minority-centric left leaning group pulling this type of sh-- to forqward their agenda, it goes unnoticed as Status Quo and even validated by the media. But becuase a more-right leaning group is taking this tact....a JEWISH right-leaning group, its suddenly a problem. Shocker. -
Not for nothing, but IMO, Force has that "look" year after year. In the pits, and at the line, there is NO crew more intense than his. When Force lost in the finals in FL on Sunday, Austin Coil looked like he was going to kill someone...like he cannot imagine NOT winning. He cant fathom it. And he has that look whenever Force goes down. OTOH, its what makes Force so much FUN to watch. The man will break traction at the 60 foot mark and peddle than frickin' Ford all the way down the track until he finally gets the other man, sees the win-light in the other lane or he blows the engine sky- high. He NEVER gives in. Ever. Force fuggin rules.

Figures....MY B-day is tomorrow. Always a day late........

Way to nitpick, guys. Chevez is not an enemy of the U.S.? Sheehan has also met with leaders of the Communist Party and other groups who are an Anti-US as one can get.

This is why Pro Stock remains my favorite class. A lot of what you see is still backed by technology provided direct from the manufacturers. Its still Chevy vs. Ford vs. Mopar. A lot of it is still cobbled together by the drivers and their local speed shops, too. When MOPAR got back into PS a few years back with Cokehead Alderman and Geffrion, they were pulling old Hemi big blocks out of junk cars and working them for racing. Plus, its more consistent racing. The Fuel cars are intense, but its rare you get through a whole round without at least one delay due to dropped cylinders, blower explosions, etc.

BIG fan here. The Gatornationals were great today. Go the E-town every June for at least one day. Glad to see The Queen is back in racing and Im dying to score her autograph this year. Otherwise, my fave drivers are Angelle, Dixon, Force and WJ. Pro Stock is my favorite class, but Im down with everything from the bracket racing to the Nitro cars. I love it all. And there is NOTHING like being at the track and getting a close seat for the Fuel cars!!!

Not to defend Robertson, but the next time Pat Robertson rubs elbows with some of America's arch enemies like Sheehan does, it will be his first. They are NOT in the same boat. Sheehan's worse.

Ok all...this should be an easy BS/hypocrisy test for Mick. He seems to be against cutting spending here because overall, its bad for society, especially the poor. So Mick...tell us....whats your feelings on Govt. spending on and participation with faith-based charitable initiatives?

I apologize for parachuting into this thread, but I knew Mike, too and I want to add my two cents. Mike was a man's man. A good man. A good father. A good husband. A good friend. My forever lasting memory of Mike will be his bulletproof ability to spread happiness to a room or to a situation. Not that he was a cunning jokester or had some uncanny talent. It was a firm handshake, smile and a loud "How ya doing, Rich?" when you walked into the room. It was his "anytime, anywhere, anything" vibe he gave off if you needed a hand with something. It was his "no worries" approach to life. His attitude just became more and more infectious as I spent more time with him. He was the type of person that if you werent feeling so good, if you felt a little 'off', or just wanted some good company or conversation (or if you didnt agree with his politics, debate), he'd be the first person you look for. Right now he's in a better place. And its a better place because he is there. Godspeed, Mike. Youre in our hearts.

Geez, youre such a one trick pony. "The American public are morons." We know! Sure, it can be considered a success story taken at face value. But if you step back a bit, the fact that 400 Al Qaeda operatives got this close to carrying out this operation cannot be considered "good". IMO, this event can be interpreted either way and used to support either position. -

"Bushies" is not in itself a derogatory term, wing. The point is not to micro anaylize the press. My point is that the Bush Administration (better?) is falling back on old defenses and old cliches to support this War, defenses and cliches that have little, if any traction anymore. They are still acting like this is April 2003 and thats just pigheaded. -

Lets see... A major operation by Al Qaeda that would have had 400 men infiltrating the Iraqi police force and would have taken over the US and UK embassies in Baghdad (OUTSIDE the Sunni triangle, Joe) was thwarted. -or- Another school was opened in Mosul. Which story should be focused on?
