  1. With Fred 'Marrone' Flinstone and sidekick Barney 'Hackett' Rubble at the controls and the Buffalo offensive line getting pummeled more than the Bedrock Quarry, it is time to stop pounding the rock and learn from that ethereal wizard (no not Chip Kelly) but the Great Gazoo and kickstart the 'No Rubble' offense, especially with the Jets' Doomsday machine perched to have a sackfest ala Horton. Let loose with an all out hurry up spread offense accompanied with our latest secret weapon, Bryce 'Bam Bam' Brown. Go Bills!
  2. One could argue that Marrone has made numerous mistakes but I submit that the one that is most heinous and inexcusable is the one where a former player and position coach believes he can "coach up" just about anyone simple given the fact he (the coach) has been there and done that and has the magical ability to will his expertise to the player. In particular I point to Marrone's many failed experiments with the Oline where in his meddling fashion he seems to feel he is always justified by making questionable decisions. See last season with Colin Brown and Doug Legusky or this year with Eric Peers. None of these players belonged as first line starters at their positions. I am specifically referring to playing Peers as a guard not as a tackle. Marrone spouted off a week before the season that Peers would move to guard because he wanted "the best five olinemen,.."Iask you has that proven to be the case? Check out he grades for Peers. They are Peer-thetic".And Marrone won't admit his error and has Urbik sitting on the bench. Why? Now Kujo is supposedly being worked out at guard. Previously the Marrone line was that no way was Kujo a guard he was a tackle all the way, blah, blah. Yeah let's hope three TE's (two of whom aren't blockers) see if they can turn around the running game. Come on Doug what gives?

  4. I submit to you that a bad penalty call (as we have unfortunately been witness to way too often) can be just as injurious and in some cases even more so as a bad call on a fumble recovery, or catch ruled incomplete, etc. In light of the very poor quality of officiating league wide, a coach should two challenges for challenges to penalty calls in addition to the two existing challenges. That would be up to the coach to decide how to use them. I could live with that since ti does not appear that officiating is going to be consistent or fair from game to game.
  5. I can't stand hearing the sports radio experts claim without any hesitation that the bad penalties being called did not result in the Bills loosing vs. NE. Really how does anyone know for absolute certainty? How does anyone know for sure that if a promising drive was killed because of two very suspect offensive interference calls that the tide may have swung the other way, that the other team may have stumbled trying to recover and lost their composure? That is life and football, a small consequence like a bad penalty call can make a huge difference. Did you ever watch Quantum Leap? The fact that some so called experts or even professionals tend to downplay the result of such actions goes directly against the laws of nature. Think about the probability of the sperm and the egg that conceived you? What if the sperm got called for holding and there was a blown call? Perhaps one less disappointed Bills fan oh well!
  6. Umm why not both coach? Any laws against that? I fail to see the connection. I can get an IRS notice and still get run over by a truck? Both are sad situations can't I vent on both? Teach me your ways!
  7. I do and that is understandable but why play it like Sgt. Schultz (Hogan's Heroes reference for those old enough not our Hogan), "I know nothing, nothing" about any report that Pegula may be bringing in outside consultants to review the Bills front officei operation. Really Shultz, er Murph, didn't he do precisely that with Patty LalalLa and they ended up hiring Craig Patrick to assist Tim Murray with the Sabres? What makes it so incredulous that Pegs won't do the same for the Bills? Come on wake up and smell the Noco coffee!
  8. Yeah I tried that and it doesn't help. Maybe I should try cotton in my ears. But thanks for the suggestions.
  9. Just like our infamous newbie under duress OC once claimed that we will run Spiller until he pukes (now I puke when he does run but that isn't the reason for this post). I get intestinally ill listening to John Murphy's Bills' recap (or more appropriately the puke-cast) of the Bills-DE game. In typical Murph like fashion, he defended the fact that the Bills had their DE line backups on the last Pats scoring drive when they were starting at their own 7 yard line and Brady proceeded to march down the field uncontested by any pass rush for a game sealing TD. Hughes, Mario and company were sitting out that series. Why is the question? Murphy downplayed in his typical condescending way any and all questions callers proffered concerning the vaunted Bills' braintrust decision making (that is an oxymoron if I ever used one) by some asinine suggestion that is "what teams do', as if we bUy that B.S. Really Murph not all lfans are that lame. He is clearly either totally disconnected from reality or feels that he must stick up for any questionable Bills decisions. Why is he even here? We can listen to the party line just listen to Marrone (if you can stomach that drivel). As if the Pegulas really listen or care what Murphy spouts. How about whyt sit out Mike Williams was that a smart decision? Why not start DaNorris Searcy and go with Duke (the dumbest penalty I can ever remember in my 50 years of following the Bills) Williams on that push in the end zone? Why not target Sammy more than 4 times? Why, why why and all we hear is well the Bills are still in the hunt. Yeas, I have to take more pepto I can feel the heartburn coming.
  10. Marrone and Hackett = Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble although not as entertaining@ Marrone and Hackett = Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble although not as entertaining@
  11. We have the skipper, Doug Marrone, his first mate Nate "Gilligan" Hackett, the professor Doug Whaley, the Billionaire and his wife Terry and Kim. I just hope Bills' fans are not going to have to live on reruns for the rest o eternity.
  12. Dismissing Bill was Ralph's biggest blunder but Pegula can make amends and the Bills will be relevant once again.
  13. Maybe because he isn't? Pears is horrific. Wood has regressed as has Glenn, and Henderson and Richardson are rookies. What gives? Did Marrone ever take a Wunderlich test when he was a player, if so what was his score? Joe D. was such a genius compared to these clowns.
  14. Than let's start a petition NFL wide to remove chief fool Dean Blandino. Things have deteriorated to the point the game is unwatchable. After 50 years I have never witnessed this type of debacle. This is more than disgusting it is unethical.
  15. Billy Belli Came To Town, A riding on a Brady, and took the game from Doug Marrone, like candy from a baby!
  16. If you thought it was Kyle Orton, I fear not. And the same applies to the other offensive weapons, RB's and dynamic Wr's. So you think it must be the much vaunted DLine, no not that either or for that matter not the former weapon turned arch enemy Brandon Spikes or the up and coming secondary. It was none other than Tom Brady himself, who let the cat out of the bag, in his presser this week, it is the person the Bills signed this season just for this game and the next Bills-Pats encounter, a guy well under the radar, the Pepper Man. He knows all about TB and the offense and is the ultimate weapon for us Bills hopefuls.
  17. After watching the game and seeing our prized no. 1 draft choice for 2014-2015 drop some passes that were easily catchable (not making excuses for EJ or his routine inaccuracy throwing the ball) it was telling to hear Sammy a veteran of all of three regular season games comment after the game that he has to catch those passes adding that it is irrespective of off target they are , well it seems that here we are only four games into the season and our vaunted receivers including Woods and Sammy and Williams are all looking to end the season and catch an early bus to next year and seem to have already given up the ghost of EJ. That seems to be something that is contagious and that other Bills players are likely already buying into the let's ride out this season and maybe next year attitude. I squarely put the blame on the coaches, GM and an overall lack of professionalism.
  18. For my money it is hands down Ted Marchibroda. I beleive he is what made the Super Bowl Bills possible. Marv was the beneficiary. Some may claim Chan Gailey but I sincerely doubt Nate Hackett enters into the conversation or for that matter ever will.
  19. As a 50 yr. Bills' follower, I wonder if Pegula will do what Ralph only did once in his tenure, that is hiring a big name HC? Ralph to his credit or detriment tried iti once with Chuck Knox. The results for Knox were pretty good. In fact I was at the Bills/San Diego playoff game and I am convinced to this very day if Joe Ferguson were completely healthy we would have prevailed. I hope Pegula learned from the Darcy/Lindy fiasco with the Sabres that it is better to cut ties with the past and start fresh. Perhaps we can get a coach/GM that actually have a clue and are not either retreads or unknowns. There seems to be some up and coming and proven talent and Pegula may decide to go for the best money can buy!
  20. I had a thought, I wondered if it was the other way around, would Ralph Wilson, who initially invested the $25K or $50K (whatever) to obtain the Bills francise, would ante in for $1.4B (or whatever) if he were in Pegula's shoes, even taking into account the time value of money? Seems unlikely to me. What say you?
  21. The draft with Rudd and Nelson, and the one with Tom Cousineou. Oh and the one where we drafted Al (AC) Cowlings O.J.'s BFF.
  22. I have followed Bills football since their first season and listened to all the rhetoric, from Art Wander and teh Coach Chuck Dickerson to Shoop and teh Bulldog on WGR, but I have been astounded and disappointed by the over the patently biased, over the top views expressed by John Murphy on his radio show of late where callers cannot disagree with him about his "optimisitc" views on the Bills' chances, EJ's ability to succeed as QB, on Marrone and Whaley's tenure, etc. adn questioning why fans feel the way they do. Wake up and smell the coffee John, amaybe somebody spiked his with those Mollys! I know he is employed by the Bills and may be he feeling the heat if a new owner will pull the plug on his show, but for goodeness sake lighten up, callers can disagree and anyone who doesn't seem to agree with his rose colored glasses are ridiculed or discounted for their opinions. I used to think he was a level headed guy at least as a sportscaster but he seems very jaded of late. He also treis in ernest to be overly apologetic to his guests like the time when he tried to suggest that his "good buddy", guest Ron Jaws Jaworski back in early training camp, tried to sell us on Bon Jovi wanting was was "right for Buffalo" to keep the Bills in Buffalo, how dumb does he think the average fan is and why should we believe Jaws would tell us what Bon Jovi has in mind in the first place? Whenever a caller suggests that his opinion may be biased due to the fact he works for Bills' organization he profusely deneisthis, yet he and Chris Brown are in fact mouthpeices for the Bills whether or not they careto fess up.

  24. After hearing the booing at kids day, I couldn't wait until I got to hear firsthand from my contingency of five "great" nieces and nephews (ages 5-10) who attended their first Bills game. The consensus was they had a great time, the best thing they all said was "Duffs"! I guess they are chip off the odl block.Go Bills!
