  1. He's not a great quarterback but there are plenty worse
  2. And we'd need a young Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers with the group of receivers we have
  3. The kid couldn't possibly be ready. They know his skill set already. He likely develops into a very solid #2 QB. As far as Taylor, he isn't the long term guy buy gives us our best shot. As I said before, if we had Watkins, Woods and Harvin, we win this one going away
  4. Yeah, its all well and good to say that the defense kept us in the game. That completely ignores the fact that without a viable receiving threat or running game, our QB didn't turn over the ball. This is also something that kept us in the game. Taylor isn't a long term solution, but he's our guy at least for this year. Peterman is a project. You don't put him in unless Taylor gets hurt.
  5. That's with the Ryan "Let 'em score" defense. If this defense keeps playing like this, I'd expect much better in that scenario
  6. Put Watkins, Woods, and Percy Harvin on the field like we did in 2015 and I wonder how it goes.....
  7. I'll tell you right now. They aren't very good. But they are a lot more organized than they've been and that's why they won today. The arrow is pointing up.
  8. Is he as rare as Herschel Walker?
  9. The guys we picked up in trade will fit in nicely with the core we draft in April. We're finally getting it right after about two decades
  10. Sorry, but as bad as Rex was, we weren't a coaching change away from the playoffs
  11. How many yards per game has Watkins put up in the playoffs? Oops
  12. Yes, but if we have a piece that we think may be good right now, with a big payday coming, then we have a problem. What if we invest a lot to keep him and don't end up with the other parts. I'm for the full reset and build everything from the ground up. Sammy had some skills but I think he was very overrated
  13. These trades were made with St. Louis and Philly. And you can quote me on that
  14. Exactly. That's why the NFL was directing their money away from studies that would hurt them and why their money is no longer wanted. If only the Romans offered waivers at the Coliseum, that would have fixed everything.
  15. Well, factor in what our other roster options are. If what is his value vs a guy who fits (assuming he doesn't)
  16. If the coaching staff clearly see he can't be a playmaker in our new scheme, he very well may be cut
  17. And it's also why they hired the son of a former politician as commissioner. They are fighting tooth and nail.
  18. There's a couple things that can happen when you pop open a beer
  19. Exactly. And he said ideally he wouldn't throw a pass. He never said he think that is likely to happen.
  20. I heard they offered a contract but he dropped it
  21. One thing I will never forget about the drive home (as I thought nothing of it on the way to the game, as it was typical in my car), after a half hour, the Oil/Choke light came on my dashboard. My friend and I were laughing so hard we almost had to pull over and stop. Last year I actually dug up my ticket stubbs from the game
  22. Much of what the team has done since the late 1990's has been dysfunctional and produced negative results. That's where the negativity comes from
