  1. Not about one group's vote- it is about keeping momentum. Ask the other candidates about that, if they are still responding to questions. There is a reason Romney remains the front runner- he has done nothing special, but avoiding stupid gaffes probably should be categorized as extraordinary.
  2. Not for awhile. I hope we stick with Fitz. He isn't a franchise QB, but he is a very good stopgap QB, while we build a team.
  3. Touché. Mistakes were made when President Bush was in office- but what people fail to mention is that Congress signed off on ALL of those mistakes. The war, the overspending, EVERYTHING. Anyone who takes the office of POTUS, sacrifices a lot. Sure, heavy is the head that wars the crown, but people need to separate the person from the President.
  4. They inherited a team with one playmaker and traded him. They inherited an undersized 4-3 defense and are switching to a 3-4. It will take a few good drafts. Be glad you got to see some good football at the start of the season.
  5. I am just saying it was an ill-timed comment on his part. It won't help him at all. He is right about some of the people who don't want jobs, but there are some hard working people out there, and that can be used as a slap at them.
  6. Is there any way that it won't be? Our economy is a complete disaster and neither side of the aisle will grow up- it is a media bonanza!
  7. I am sure you know Ralph Wilson well enough to know his state of mind
  8. Just when he is doing well, he has to get undisciplined and give his opposition something to use. With so much unemployment, he may as well said "Let them eat cake"
  9. There will always be some racists in every group, and the opposite side will always look to take advantage of that. I consider it a shame on both counts. It is a fact that not having baggage is a big thing- as electability is one of the most important things when selecting a candidate. A lot of resources go into campaigning, so both sides will tend to make concessions to find someone who has a chance of winning. If you find a good candidate, I am not sure how much economic philosophy will matter. A good politician/President will adjust based on situation. Presidents George HW Bush and Reagan raised taxes. President Obama pushed (to an extent) to extend the "Bush" tax cuts. A lot of it is based on the current needs of the country. I have a feeling that Rice is the type who would do what is best for the country.
  10. We have a lot more problems than QB. It is time to stick with Fitz and build a team, instead of trying to appease the fan base by changing coaches/QBs again.
  11. I am not sure if you were asking about the Gingrich or Rice comment, so I will address both. First, Gingrich has more credibility than any of the other candidates. I can't imagine any of the others as President. Some people look at Gingrich as a hypocrite, but he is a guy who makes mistakes, just like anyone else. On foreign policy, he US one of the few that isn't a total joke. I think Rice is even better at those positive traits. She would easily be the most dignified candidate, which would immediately take away romney's top asset. You would be hard pressed to find someone with more knowledge on foreign policy. I could easily picture her as President.
  12. I hope he is our QB for awhile, so we can use our draft picks to get talent on the team. If we had done that with Collins at QB, instead of trying to appease the fickle fan base by changing QB's every couple seasons, we would be a much better team.
  13. "They'll cut you, gentlemen, they'll cut you!!!" lol
  14. President Obama's role model? Please- Romney isn't anything but a liar- he was actually against the healthcare bill, but didn't stand a chance in trying to stop it completely, in Massachusetts. I would never vote for a liar- I'd rather see Cain or Perry get the nomination. Its a shame that Rice or even the reality show guy (sounds bad, but I have been in the office all day and I'm just drawing a blank on the name) didn't decide to run.
  15. There is no corner I'd want to put on the other team's top WR with the game on the line, or no pass rusher I'd look to free up with the game on the line. The talent level is a job, but unfortunately, nobody is laughing. When healthy, we don't have a WR that scares anyone- I do get scared when we threw to Parrish- the little guy might get hurt!
  16. Wade is a hall of fame defensive coordinator, and he isn't working with LBs that I can't even name. I don't care if we go offense or defense- we need playmakers, cause there isn't a single one on the team!
  17. What I know is that we had an undersized 4-3 under our previous staff, and our current staff believes in running a 3-4 defense. We are in transition and don't have a lot of good players yet. The secondary is mush, as the high drafted players haven't panned out. The linebackers are terrible and aside from Dareus and Williams (who hasn't played much), the line isn't good. If you don't blitz, there is no pass rush. If you do blitz, there is no coverage.
  18. Well done. With a few difference makers, things will change quickly.
  19. I was a big Josh Reed fan!!! Very underratd
  20. Easy there, lets not get overly emotional.
  21. If we don't have a pass rush or a cover guy, why change coaches? What can a coach do in that situation- its like trying to drain the water out of a boat by poking holes in it.....
  22. We need the best blocker or playmaker we can find. We don't have a single player who fits that description (unless you are a complete homer)
  23. Nothing against Gingrich, who has been the best republican candidate by far (from the very beginning), but I still think Condoleeza Rice would be a much better candidate.
  24. J Edgar was a good movie, but the segments where they jumped around to different periods of his life, drove me nuts
  25. Nice- only I hate both sides for being utter failures, so I can't really be on a fence....maybe parallel to one? I appreciate it, but working in the tightly knit world of collegiate athletics, I nearly became physically ill at the horrible news about Oklahoma State, this morning. I have worked a bit with some people up there over the last few years and can't comprehend what they are going through right now. As far as the media, I see a lot of left and right bias. Instead of being balanced, many networks choose to be dumb both ways.
