  1. It would take a few hundred years to bring about the change of a single-payer system, given our system of legislation. Things don't change that fast, and that's not a bad thing. Both parties and all of the American people need to start understanding that concept.
  2. Suh shouldn't even be in the league. He is a joke and one of the biggest busts in NFL history.
  3. While I concur about the clarity of their message, the violence has hurt their opportunity to be viewed as civil disobedients, while at places they aren't supposed to be. I am sure they originally had a message, but unfortunately, it has become hopelessly lost at this point.
  4. I agree. We need to stick with this group and ignore than fans who read the buffalo spews and listen to wgr55. No knowledgeable people in those groups.
  5. And this comes from a fan base that considered Aaron Schobel to be a great player. Sorry, but Rome wasn't built in a year and we are rebuilding. We switch to either a 4-3 or 3-4. Face it, the miniature front we had wasn't suited for either. Marcel Dareus is playing at a high level, but our defense isn't built to the point that it can take advantage of what he does, which is tie up blockers. Maybe Kyle Williams would help a bit, but we need linebackers that the opponent fears to do that- and we don't have one yet. Also, our secondary is terrible. Spiller is a guy who has the speed and talent to open things up for other playmakers- problem is we don't have any. Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't accurate enough to be a franchise quarterback, but that doesn't mean we should focus on the QB position. We need to fix the OL and add a threat at WR. We have the makings of a decent team, we just need guys who will put our current talent over the top. Gailey is running an offense that maximizes our talent, but unfortunately, it has to be gimmicky, since it isn't talented. Teams have taken those gimmicks away.
  6. I can't remember who had the post about how our government can't change the big things quickly. This fits that well. It would be great if we could do as you say right now, as far as social security, but that isn't realistic. I think you know that. It has to be shrunk in small steps.
  7. As if anyone watches msnbc. I have no problem with the tax cuts by themselves. But the fact that congress allowed them while we were at war wasn't a good idea. They should be allowed to expire at all levels, including the middle class.
  8. We will kick the can down the road, leading to the century of misery. Both parties are utterly gutless.
  9. Wasn't it Donald Trump that wanted to take social security and medicare away from the rich, completely, saying they don't need it? Cuts have to be made across the board, or we are just spinning our wheels and acting like the deficit matters
  10. Like I said- there is no easy way to fix things. What I meant is that the sliding scale was based on earnings- if you are a multi-millionaire, you get considerably less social security, as you should need a lot less.
  11. Won't work. The line can't open holes for the running game. We would get beat worse than we are now
  12. Super Duper went out of business...... Why not 1. let the "Bush" tax cuts expire 2. consolidate Medicare/Social Security and put it on a sliding scale, with people who made the most getting fewer benefits, and then subtract from those who received a certain amount of unemployment benefits 3. End the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, bring the troops back, and slash defense spending by as close to 50% as possible- redundancies WILL NOT cover this cut, but efficiency will lessen the blow. 4. Raise taxes slightly across the board. 5. Most importantly- on all of the above, put a trigger mechanism, which decreases the severity of each, when the economy reaches certain levels. Decreasing the deficit and getting the economy rolling again is going to hurt- it is high time that both sides accept that fact.
  13. Once we have linebackers, Dareus will look like a value pick. He is a great player who is on a very untalented defense. Add a quality left tackle and wide receiver and our offense changes. We aren't as far as It's being made to be. We need playmakers- we already have the role players and blue collar guys.
  14. But who would there be to make fun of then. Oh wait, this is also a Bills board too
  15. He won't get passed Romney and has shown why. Very undisciplined. Not as bad as Bachman, but still bad.
  16. His base already was going to vote for him. They don't matter.
  17. If Romney is honest, he will say that he was never for mandatory healthcare, but his veto would not have stood.
  18. Not really. I don't even care about the comment. The fact is it can be used by his opposition.
