Listening to people talk about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is always irritating to me. Either we are told that it just shouldn't have happened, or that it was a great thing. I don't consider either to be true- while it seems to have saved many lives, nothing like that is truly a great thing. Then again, after learning in school that Richard Nixon was the first US president to be impeached, those opinions don't surprise me all that much......

I find the whole concept of crediting/blaming the economy on the president to be silly. Sure 9/11 happened and affected the economy, but that wasn't President Bush's decision (not paying for the wars was a mistake, but is just a small part of the recession.) Our economy is so closely tied to the rest of the world, that to think one man can have a major impact is completely laughable- and I am not saying that you insinuated that, but seeing people use that to build or discredit a current or former president is absolutely nauseating. By the way- what happened to the surplus that President Clinton SINGLEHANDEDLY built- I mean, who else dug under the couch's pillows for all that spare change!

Marty Schottenheimer is a hall of fame coach. Always gets more out of his players than anyone else ever could- just look at who his quarterbacks were in KC. Look at how San Diego has fallen apart since he left.

My bad- I guess I didn't make it clear that I think there is nothing wrong with that. Like I said, corporations want more money and so do the working class. Nothing wrong with wanting something. And I have trouble with the 60-word thing. I can be eloquent when writing a game recap, but this is not my area of expertise. I usually just give my semi-ignorant opinion.

I disagree- I think President Obama will be in the White House for four more years. I think the nomination process has already done damage to Mitt Romney and it will get much worse over the next couple weeks. As far as far left moves, they wouldn't be seen that way a few decades ago- we are leaving our wars in the middle east, so it is (or should be expected), that there will be cuts in defense spending. In addition to that, we knew a long time ago that the debt limit would go up- regardless of what party the president is affiliated with. Personally, I would like to see an investment made into finding the appropriate ways to cut defense spending even more. And no, I'm not a far-left whacko who just wants to get rid of the military. I just feel that something with the scope of our military is difficult to keep cutting edge, without losing efficiency. If we take the time to identify the redundancies and inefficiencies, we can maintain the current level of excellence, while making it even more efficient. This can be done, but it wouldn't be without cost, in terms of dollars and time.

I am not going to use the opportunity to bash the left, as the garbage was spewed from the right. It is clearly ridiculous and unfair, but I don't think they actually believe what Romney said was a bad thing. They are just using the wrong thing to try to hurt him in the nomination process (not the best wording, I know, but I think you know what I mean).

Hard to say- we have so many needs. Just take the best player available, as it probably is also a position of need.
