If that is the case, wr should be seeing that influence start to wane, as more people are using social media to report news as they see it. Being someone who works with the media, I am very interested in seeing how this bears out.

are they for the democrats or do they just find them easier to incite? Most media types are for whatever suits their purpose. Which is fine with me, but it is good to remain aware of that.

doesn't matter. The media isn't about journalism, it is about ratings. That story isn't nearly as inflammatory and won't get the same ratings.

Didn't see the picture and don't care- I have heard more than enough on this to know we won't ever know what really happened. The media just wants to boost ratings.

This is tragic on all counts. One- a 17-year old is dead. Two- we are convicting a guy who there is only circumstantial evidence on, with some evidence pointing towards self defense. No good will come out of this at all. People love to get angry and find someone to blame before all the pieces fall in place. Our "Society" becomes more uncivilized by the day

For the people complaining about the "Stand your ground" law not being perfect......of course it isn't. What law accounts for every possible situation. Sure, maybe it can be tweaked to be better, but if the law required retreat, it could put innocent people even more in harms way. We live in a violent world, it would be nice not to need guns and laws like this, but innocent people need to defend themselves. That said, whatever happened in this case is absolutely tragic. The evidence presented, although seems handpicked, points at this not being self defense.

While I wouldn't reject the money (Heck, it would help me a lot!), I would prefer to help those in the current generation who belong in college, if such a choice was to be made. I pretty much knew what I was getting into.....
