  1. The part about him changing his staff over and over is a very valid criticism. So is the part about him making mistakes that have impacted the economy. I think he tried to hard to get a quick fix, when only time would fix things. As far as the senators, that was bound to happen if the economy didn't improve. We aren't a patient bunch. The economy doesn't care if we are patient or not.
  2. President Obama's administration has done what it can, with what it inherited. Is that a shot at President Bush? Absolutely not. Both administrations dealt with the after effects of 9/11 to the best of their ability. The problem is, that neither had the ability to time travel, as time is the only thing that will repair our frayed economy. People can whine all they want, about how they want it fixed now- sorry Charlie, but that ain't happening. The big thing about the upcoming election, is an opportunity to be in office when the economy comes around (If it does in the next four years), and get the praise of all the lemmings that will credit either Romney or Obama for making it happen.
  3. As someone who works in public relations, I can tell you that at times, social media can turn into a nightmare. I see your argument- the politicization of this is appauling (sp). At some point, if handled properly, it will be fixed as far as the civil rights issue. At some point, it will be handled properly. Just a question on the meme.....does that involve Beaker, from the muppets?
  4. The bad news is that you were listening to their show.
  5. I don't blame him for using the fact that Bin Laden was killed under his watch- national defense is something that the democrats get bashed for. I find it disappointing, but not surprising that the Romney comment was made. Any president in American history makes the same call. Politics as usual, and we won't do anything about it.......
  6. That isn't what I said. Instead of mocking others, clean up your own house- that was my message.
  7. Yes, because we are doing so well right now. Indeed
  8. Much like the great Ivan Drago, I fight to win....for me Yes, because that's all his fault. Just like it was President Bush's fault that things were in bad shape, when President Obama took office. It's nice that things are so simple.
  9. Don't mistake my statement as siding with the right- I am saying that it is a long way off and it will go down to the wire (it has to be close, just based on the sheer numbers on both sides that will vote party line, no matter what). I look forward to hearing what both sides have to say- particularly as the election draws near, they are exhausted and their guards are down.
  10. Am I imagining things, or is it just May 7th? Am I imagining things or is this less relevant that the fact that lobbyists own both parties.
  11. I have no problem with people wanting to hold themselves to a higher standard, but they also need to be practical at times. There were things a lot worse than water boarding going on at the prisons- and I mean the things that weren't for interrogating purposes. The book I am reading covers this whole topic in depth and is pretty interesting.
  12. I will say upfront, that I don't like it and it is torture. But I don't like war either, and sometimes we have to do that as well. Whether you need it or not, it is torture, and doesn't need to be wrapped in a ridiculous PC label that nobody believes anyways. Also- it is perfectly legal, as the Geneva Conventions do not apply to terrorists.
  13. And you associate that with zucchini? You never cease to amaze.
  14. Does this mean that President Obama can make us immortal, so we won't die?
  15. Too much is made of jersey numbers- they are there for identification purposes, not to make a player walk around with a smile on his face. Assign players numbers on a seasonal basis and that's it.
  16. Ok, but what is your opinion on how things were handled after his removal?
  17. Not sarcastic at all- I am able to follow things a lot more now, but in my line of work, you pretty much go all day and never know when you can get a call at night for something (pretty stupid, when you consider the un-importance of what I do). One of the many reasons I bought my XM radio, which helps me follow the news now. This justification definitely should have been given a long time ago.
  18. His comments about the Iraqis attacking our planes which were enforcing the UN sanctions for years, was new to me. Maybe I had been living under a rock (My occupation does that to me sometimes), but that was the first I had heard of that.
  19. Thank you to everyone for the insights. For anyone interested in the topic, it is covered extensively in Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's book. I find his insights as far as defending the administrations' decision to go to war, and his criticisms as to what followed the war. He makes a lot of things that I think would be over my head seem fairly easy to understand. Haven't finished the book, but I highly recommend it to anyone on either side of the aisle.
  20. I wouldn't mind seeing him at right guard, mauling people. The following line (helping Sanders, of course) could develop into something LT: Sanders LG: Levitre C: Wood RG: Glenn RT: Hairston
  21. Something that i am confused about is whether we could have gone to war even without the authorization law, bases on the fact that our legal policy towards Iraq was regime change and had been for awhile.
