  1. I liked to walk- it gave me time to listen to my walkman which played records.
  2. No- not to get them to behave. Just to wait for the parents to come- you can't have an extended stop with nobody knowing about it. If the driver can pull over and get the bad behavior to stop, then there isn't much of a problem.
  3. I guess the driver could get permission to wait- but to do that without getting that permission is to risk lawsuit or losing a job. Not saying that I think it's right, it's just how things work right now, unfortunately. Personally, I wish they'd allow the yard stick to be brought back.....
  4. I agree that something has to be done- maybe going back to the school and dropping off the kids, and letting the administration handle it. You can't just drop them off and leave them to wait for their parents. Too much room for something much worse to happen- what if a kid was kidnapped. Also, you can't just sit there with the other kids and wait for the parents to show up. I agree the kids need more discipline, but many of the adults they learn from need to learn those same lessons.
  5. That is one of the best points I hadn't thought of. +1 That would be a major liability issue.
  6. But the neocons do it too..... But, but, the liberals do it too.......
  7. Sorry, but most of the people in this country will look for color coded levers on the voting machines, without even reading the names.........
  8. The election will be down to the wire, regardless of anything either of them do.
  9. I, for one, don't question Senator McCain's character in most circumstances- but I will say that he tends to be more public about some issues than he should be. I wish we had more like him.
  10. Not to mention, you can make the right call and sometimes get the wrong outcome. It is a difficult job
  11. In other words, we had no reason to go after Osama Bin Laden in the first place........
  12. The head coach goes to the GM with his input- the GM makes the decisions. Unless you want things to be dysfunctional.
  13. How about 1995, when we remade the defense- bringing in Paup and Washington, as well as drafting a bunch of good defensive players- Marlon Kerner, Ken Irvin, Damien Covington and Ken Holocek.
  14. I'm not so sure- candidate Obama is vastly different than President Obama, for obvious reasons. In all fairness, Senator McCain probably would have been different as well.
  15. Can you please tell us what it feels like to be wrong?
  16. That is an organizational problem, then. For all that has been said about Jauron, Cleveland went out and got him a big DT, when he arrived.

  18. He gets credit for the mission being carried out. The troops get credit for its success. By the same logic that gives him credit, it is a mere pointless assassination, if you don't give him credit.
  19. Yep, neither side can explain how everything began, no matter how much they want to argue.
  20. This thread is a very good source for it. It also is high in fiber
