There were questionable calls, mistakes, etc....there was no favoritism.

I doubt any official would agree with that- they WANT to do a perfect job, just like we do in our line of work. They dont consider it ok when it does not impact the outcome. Wrong calls will be made, its the nature of the beast. It happens at all levels of sport, and never will change. I do agree with Mel Kiper's comments that officiating actually has become worse since instant replay.....I wouldnt like everything I do to be that scrutinized either.

I know defending WIlliams isnt popular right now, but how can he be expected to perform at a high level on a terrible line. If ther rest of the line was good, thats another thing. Couch did well early on, but never got adequate protection, and took too many hits. He beat Pittsburgh in 2 of his first 3 chances

Dude, chill out- cant you deal with somebody having a different opinion? Was this picture shot right down the yard line where the ball was thrown? Anyways, the pictures are not used in games for replay purposes. Officials make mistakes, there are just too many plays in a game not to have some calls be wrong, but I am satisfied with the job they do.

Yes, he did have a big second year, and did a lot of things well early on, but it took him awhileto mature, and become more consistent

SomeQB's take longer than others for the progress to show on the field, and to calm down. I think he will take about as long as Plummer did, and I have no problem waiting for that

Well, sorry if thats the effect- none of the replays prove anything- nothing can be proved unless the camera is completely parallel with the yard line where the ball is thrown. A calculus professor tried to put something together for a definitive answer- does this mean we should have calculus done at games? Calls are what they are, and we have to accept them. Some will be wrong, but for the most part, we end up eating crow on disputed calls more than 90% of the time. Like it or not, the officials see the game better than we do, and are very good at what they do.

I'm very pleased with the statement. People that want to blame the officials for the outcome can keep making excuses for everything problem they have, while people like me get stuff done!
