  1. Do they have political opponents? I mean if they do, its the actual democrats- the good ones, not the leaders of that party, which need to be fired
  2. ANyone have any opinions about the use of terrorist characters in movies or on TV's. If they are offended or interested by the concept?
  3. I have a weak stomach....I'm not much for blood or gore either
  4. Both sides of this arguement is mere speculation (No, I'm not saying not to speculate, either). We just dont know the circumstances. And I know nothing about hunting. Hopefully I'll never know what really happened....not something I'm interested in. People dont need to know everything, despite the fact that the media tells us we are entitled to know everything. Hopefull the guy will be alright
  5. The community that manufactures widgets. You heard of them in economics class....everyone has
  6. Their offense was not as bad as people made it out to be- Dilfer was a very good leader, and the offensive line along with Lewis made for a dominant running game. Lewis should be in jail
  7. Are these the same clones that jim rome always talks about.....or did you mean clowns- I like clowns, they are nice, and make me laugh.I make a drawing of one once. Maybe I'll post it. He made a baloon aminal
  8. I think he will be a very good QB, if they fix their OL before its too late
  9. Nothing that we can't get rid of at a time of our choosing.
  10. I've coached softball, and managed a media relations office. Its all about getting people to believe in what you do- and that means believe in what you do as well. As far as on the field, I've always thought that being strong up the middle is important- in football its he lines, QB's and safeties (and MLB) in baseball catcher, pitcher, SS, 2b, and CF basketball point guard and center a good head coach can coach any sport, if they learn about the fundamentals. Its not hard, but you also need a lot of luck. My team went 8-0 by the way- my roster made me look like a genius, by the way....best assembly of talent in the league
  11. I do like the fact that most of the people who post here don't spout the party lines, and do think for themselves. Even if I disagree with them, I find that refreshing. A lot of insight here, a lot of fresh ideas, and a lot of things that can be learned. Too bad the leaders of both parties dont frequent here.
  12. I dont buy into that- I think there is a minority that thinks that way, but they are a very vocal minority, and the media helps push that image as being the majority, because that makes for a bigger story
  13. I thought it was poorly played as well- and poorly coached, especially on the seattle side- Holmgen had the worst coaching performance in SB history
  14. I agree that the superbowl wasnt the best officiated games- but these guys are human, and will always make mistakes. They take great pride in the jobs they do, and do everything they can to eliminate errors. I had an email exchange with the NFL head of officiating some years ago, and he was very appreciative that somebody understands what they go through. Should Mike Holmgren be fired for the worst coaching job in the history of the superbowl? of course not. Should the officals be fired for having a sub par performance? of course not. Everybody has a bad day, that was theirs. What I'd like to see is for the officials to be graded as teams, and have the best ones in the playoffs- not the best officials from each group
  15. But the talk radio guy said that talk radio brainwashes people!
  16. OK, so you dont accept bad calls- what happens then.....that is not a plan- do you fire all the experienced guys and start over?
  17. Maybe its just a case of nobody wants to be happy about anything.
  18. Political talk radio stinks, and brainwashes people
  19. The Democrats? or the people who speak out of turn trying to represent them.
  20. what does this have to do with the crypt keeper? "Nyeh heh heh heh!"
  21. Actually from what I heard (and this is something I was told- no evidence), the deficit could be erased in 5 years by eliminating the tax cuts. If its that easy, what is there to be worried about. The fact that we have been in a war overseas, and saw 2 terrible disasters in the last few years basically means we will be in a deficit.
  22. Well, what would you do to fix the problem? A lot of people tell me to have guys who get cut from teams learn to officiate- thats great...guys who didn't handle the pressure as players will do a great job under the pressure that officials face. The fact is that every game has a disputed call or errant call, but most of the time it is not bad enough to affect a game. There is no way to make officiating perfect, it just wont happen.
