Compliance LB's are used in the college game, to make sure the tackle is eligible

who tinkled in Jerry's cornflakes this a.m. J.P.?

Most is the key word- this group makes boston Red Sox fans look cheerful -
Nice job- I really agree with your level of competency comment- both lines still can and should be upgraded significantly if the opportunity arises. But, you do not change just for the sake of changing- which is what we have done over the years at QB. All the complaining fans aren't going anywhere- and wouldn't have gone anywhere if we stuck with Bledsoe a few more years. This draft won't get us in the playoffs this year, but these players will play a big role in getting us there in the future

Corrected above The fact is, that it never has been about the quarterback. Sullivan is just PLAIN LAZY and unable to fufill the requirements of his job. He comes off as a blithering idiot in his columns, and the times I heard him on the radio before I moved. The only reason he has a job as all is that his ignorant spew gets people POed. I wonder how much extra work he makes for the editors before the paper comes out. -

If his celebrity helps bring more people in, then it is a good move for the armed forces. Any way you can recruit -
Enough draft talk, open letter to Dick Jauron...

Ouch.....caught me on that one. Peters is a great OT, I meant right tackle. Walker is adequate, but just doesn't get much push. I equate what Lynch does to what Flutie did. Its nice when you can make that many guys miss, but when you have to, you aren't much of a threat to the good teams. You need high percentage plays that will get you more than four yards most of the time -

I prefer to watch the game than looking at stats. Our O-line is improved, but it is not great. Lynch had to make his own yards far too often, and got hit in the backfield. On his long run against the Bengals, he had to elude a guy as soon as he got the ball. We need upgrades at center and left tackle. I am NOT saying dump Fowler and Walker for the first guy who comes along- it has to be a significant upgrade -

I see the Bills needing to get their QB some experience, then add a top DE, DT, RT, TE and C. We aren't that far, but we aren't that close either. We also don't know what we have in Edwards yet, we can only project. -
Never said that- I was just wondering about a hypothetical. Interest should not be eliminated, nor should it be an eight on its side

I agree with everything you said. We are still a middle of the pack team, but a middle of the pack team with some upside to it if we don't drown in ridiculous expectations -
Nice that he rips us now.....he sure couldn't do much against us as a player. He may be one of the most overrated players in history.

What if we went with something like this- if the student pays the loan back within two years of graduation- no interest If the student will take more than two years, they pay a base of $1,000 extra with $100 added each extra year beyond the two years. I am not an economist nor a politician- This is something that popped into my head, and I am sure many of you could tell me more about the impact something like this would have. I may be naive, but I figure this would bring more than enough money to the loan companies

We still have holes on the offensive line- I think we all agree that Fowler isn't good enough. I am not high on Walker either- he just doesn't run block with authority. How many times did Lynch get hit in the backfield and have to make his own yards? Switching Tripplett for McCargo in the starting lineup is an upgrade, but we don't know what we have in McCargo as a starter yet. Then swapping Tripplett on the bench for Johnson is at least a slight upgrade. Stroud appears to be an upgrade, but he has yet to play a down for us- how much will he be on the field? He can't make us dominant by himself. I think our starting defense will be very solid, but not dominant. I hope I am wrong, but everything is speculation at this point. -
Oops. He had a good year- struggled at the end. Don't expect him to be perfect all the time. Teams will adjust to him now that they have seen more and have more tape- it will be up to him to make adjustments to counter what teams do. It is a typical learning curve, and I look forward to watching both the successes and failures.

Remember, Kiper doesn't really factor in what types of offenses/defenses a team runs. He just evaluates players. He is no smarter than any of us, and thats by his own admission. Football and talent evaluation isn't rocket science
-
Trent Green is a promising young QB, but he is bound to make rookie-type mistakes, and to me, thats ok. Its called player development, and I consider it as exciting as any part of watching a team. To expect him to take us to the playoffs at this stage of his career is asking too much. I am worried right now about repeating our second place finish in the East- I think that will be a VERY difficult feat.

Is that George Strait? WHoever it is, its a pretty good song
-
We have a guy is is relatively a rookie QB, we have one established NFL caliber WR (by that I mean plays on the outside), we have weakness on the interior offensive line. McCargo has yet to play as a starter on the inside, therefore even with Stroud, we are very questionable inside the D-line. WE may be relying on a rookie CB and WR as well. I do not expect playoffs, I DO expect significant development
-
No, its not being negative. Coaching and special teams are the main reasons we overcame our deficiencies this past season to win 7. While our pickups on defense should help quite a bit, Stroud dos not make our defense dominant, the jury is still out on McCargo, and Johnson adds depth. If our young players are improving, I can be satisfied with 6-8 wins. Remember- four of ours wins came against Miami and NY, and I think both have made big improvements.
-
I just feel his measurables out weigh his performance on the field. Believe me, I hope I am wrong- I have little to gain by being right. I hope he ends up being as good as McGee or Greer. I like Hardy, he isn't as explosive in or out of his cuts as I like, but his size can make up for that. Not a flashy draft, but it makes us a bit better- both short and long term
-
The rebuilding is not over, we are a bubble team if our coaching and special teams wins us as many games as it did last season. I think the McKelvin pick was a reach, but if he turns out to be a player, great- even if he doesn't live up to where he was drafted. Other than that, it seems like a solid group. I think Our defense will be very much improved, but with our line, we will still struggle against the run. Offensively, we are a bit better, but I don't expect a lot out of the QB or WR posiition. I am looking at 6-8 wins, and I am not being negative- I expect a lot of rookie/young player mistakes, but I see some upside down the road. Losing won't be fun, but watching these players mature into veterans who will win will be fun

Pretty good LB, I see him as a value pick. Still plenty of centers on the board -
Buffalo better active in the 1st RD if we are to win

I would say evans and a rookie. neither reed nor parrish is starting material. parrish should play special teams only. by the way I never expected to post on tbd from a phone.gotta love technology! -
