  1. Well, what is the other option when you have 2 young QB's with one WR to throw to and a rookie RB who hasn't learned to pass protect. Its a no-win situation
  2. A lot of talk about the Browns here. I prefer either of out QB's to Derek Anderson. As far as special teams, Cribbs is comparable to McGee and better than Parrish. I am not sold on either D-line yet, as both teams made pickups that are good on paper, but have a lot to prove.
  3. Not what I meant. If he is a problem, he should be gone. If he wants to grow up, as Eric Moulds did, then I hope he has a productive career. Its binary- he's a 1 or 0, no inbetween. None of us know which he is yet
  4. I'll just sit back and see how it plays out. If he is a problem, it will be dealt with.
  5. So if you try to shoot somebody, and miss, then you didn't do anything wrong? This is bigger than the Black Sox scandal, and you can deny it all you want. This goes higher than Bellicheat as well- it goes all the way to the top of the NFL.
  6. He works for the NFL, which is trying to make the whole incident go away
  7. Tom Brady hooking up with Jessica Simpson
  8. He is a great QB, there is no debating that, but he is playing in a terrible era of watered down football. He couldn't tie John Elway's boots
  9. Lets bring back Mike Mularkey. That will put the sails back in the wind
  10. Yep, there is no argument for Montana, Graham, Unitas, Marino, Elway, or Gelbaugh. We have to accept without question that Brady is the best ever
  11. How about very fine...then he can drink lots of apple juice
  12. The Arizona Cardinals.........they are as consistent as anyone!
  13. Trent looked very good at times last year, but teams have seen him and will make adjustments. He is only in his second year as a pro and first year as a starter. I expect a lot of rough spots in his development this year. Thats just the way it goes with developing a young QB- he has to take his lumps, thats how it is. Rookie WR's seldom make a huige impact, regardless of how good they are. I think Hardy is a very talented player, but all I hope he does is take pressure off Evans, and run good routes to help Edwards. Our LB's being healthy should boost the defense, and Stroud should add a bit to the D-line.
  14. We simply aren't good enough yet in a conference full of very good teams. WE are counting on an improved but not good enough offensive line that has little depth- same is true of the defensive line. Edwards is in his second season as a pro with only a few starts under his belt, and he is backed up with another young QB. We are heavily going to rely on a rookie WR, and that usually doesn't work out well. WE don't know how improved our young RB's will be in picking up the blitz- a glaring weakness last year. How about a MLB that missed most of his rookie year This isn't to say we won't have a very satisfying season. I expect a lot of development and progression with our young stars, and I think we are heading in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in a day.
  15. The thought of Evans, Hardy, Reed and Johnson in a w WR set gets me excited. I also think that Fine will be a very good tight end in a few years.
  16. Goodell should lose his job before anyone does. The fact that he enacted the punishment BEFORE watching the tapes should tell us something.
  17. Yeah, being a dominant team for four straight years is oh, so, embarrassing. I know that the Cheatriots can't even gets their four straight years by cheating! And by the way, losing 46-10 to the greatest defense in the history of the league isn't embarrassing....then again, you didn't see that defense.
  18. Lets remember that in their first superbowl run, if they had lost one more game, they don't win the superbowl because they wouldn't have made playoffs at all. It is amazing how they brought in a bunch of players that year that were laughed at, and suddenly became world beaters. Maybe the guys that REALLY need to be investigated are named Goodell and Tagliabue.
  19. I'd rather rake a cheese grater across my face than listen to that garbage
  20. I don't really know enough to agree or disagree, but that is an interesting view that I haven't heard before
  21. With all the complaints about the electoral college, why no comments about the STUPID nomination system. delegates, superdelagates and whatever the republicans call in their system is just stupid.
  22. A monopoly with an antitrust exemption- one that few others have. They receive special treatment, and deserve extra scrutiny
  23. I hope that Specter keeps this going and nails them. Goodell wants it over as soon as possible, preventing the Superbowls from getting tainted. Bullseye on what Walsh said on not wanting to get caught with the evidence. I hope the Patriots AND the NFL get nailed over this- take away the antitrust exemption
  24. Adults who get paid millions of dollars represent the league. Sorry, but if I did some of the things guys like Adam Jones and Mike Vick did, I would lose my job too. Sorry, but NFL players live in the real world too.
