  1. WHy are you listening to those idiots anyways. There is nothing good on that station
  2. Everything can't be about the here and now- you have to plan for the future.
  3. Fluffy got fried plugging in the phone charger......it was awful
  4. Here is what he should have said
  5. Hey, don't kid yourself- Shockey would have put the Giants over the top against the Patriots
  6. I guess it makes sense- pay a bit more for the phones, but less for the service. If the service improves, I guess that could definitely be worth it. Now, if they would just start using satellites instead of towers.........I hate driving through no coverage zones!
  7. You don't think with the option to just switch that competition will increase?
  8. I think it makes sense all around- the democrats and republicans should be happy about eliminating early termination fees. Makes things easier on the consumer and makes the cell companies make their market more competitive as well. Should result in better technology at lower prices!
  9. Maybe he could compete for the starting job holding for field goals. He was awful coming out of Texas, as was the RB Benson. Didn't want wither of those guys then or now
  10. The democrats and republicans are BOTH predicatable, both talk a lot and do very little
  11. Actually, it could lower the costs almost immediately. First off, the oil would cost $40-$50 a barrel instead of $120. The decreased dependence on foreign oil means that we can still buy some at a lower cost due to reduced demand, and other countries can get it at a lower cost as well. And trust me- you are dead on about alternative fuels, but we won't have those for some time and we still need oil and gasoline in the near future
  12. I really can't disagree with you
  13. I wish we could have an Obama/McCain or McCain/Obama ticket. The melding of their ideas could fix the economy and the war, while individually, they can't fix either. Damn political parties!
  14. I am not positive, but I believe it is because of the high cost of foreign oil. I am not an economist, but I think if we started to drill for our own oil, it would scare the hell out of OPEC, causing them to increase supply and drop prices. We have more than enough oil domestically to not even need them for at least 100 years, while we develop our alternative fuels. Unfortunately, the two parties are to stubborn to work together to achieve so simple a solution.
  15. Does that means she is a fan of GW?
  16. I am not too big on Fox, CNN or MSNBC. CNN is the least slanted in reporting things, but like all the others, they tend to soundbite people they don't like. I have really started listening to CSPAN quite a bit, and find them to be much better.
  17. aside from three mile island (which did slip my mind)i am unfamiliar with these- how recent were they? Much like diesel fuel, I think there has been vast improvement. No fuel source is going to be perfect, and there is no way around that. My top point is that we have to break away from foreign oil and get it here while we investigate alternatives. We can't push for OPEC to help us, because they don't want to help us.
  18. I don't know how to segment quotes, but I like a lot of this. 1. Yes, digging would help a lot. Not only ANWR, but Colorado and Utah as well- that could supply us for years. Not to mention that getting started on that might scare OPEC into IMMEDIATELY putting their production to where it should already be, instead of intentionally stifling our economy. I stick by what I said before about sucking it up, and paying the cost to change our refineries to diesel. Contrary to the common line of thought, it is cheaper to produce than gasoline and is MUCH cleaner and is very environmentally friendly. Skipping 2 3. A few more refineries would be nice, but the current ones are at about 80% production level. 4. I like your hydogen thoughts- Nuclear is an absolute must and should eventually cover the majority of our energy. People are worried about Chernobyl......name a few more accidents? It is safer than people think. 5. Couldn't agree more. The dollar is sick, very sick. I don't know that they are investing that heavily in R&D.
  19. This is as ridiculous as certain republicans claiming that anything and everything that democrats do is a sure sign that they hate the troops and hate America. One of the many reasons I would never lower myself to be a democrat or republican!
  20. Why would you have to fatten him up to play him at TE- he is ok as is
  21. That depends on the supply and demand- if we start digging (which we should) and supply exceeds demand, it would be difficult for them to pass it on regardless of tax. Then again, if we dug up enough oil, chances are the prices would drop enough that the taxes wouldn't hurt us too much. Personally, we should switch over to diesel anyways. There would be a changing cost, but after that, it would be a cheaper fuel, and much cleaner.
  22. I would say they are more comparable than people want to admit, although I do give Bruce the edge. Bruce has had more big seasons and played in the 3-4, yes, but lets not forget that Strahan did not have the benefit of the prolific K-Gun offense which allowed him to tee off on the QB as much as Bruce did. I also will add that Strahan did have better depth on the lines he played on, which Bruce only had towards the end of his time in Buffalo. And to think- for the cost of Gale Gilbert, we could have had Leslie O'Neal opposite Bruce.
  23. If only the Patriots were there at the time to record it. Then we would know what really happened.
