  1. Maybe the Bills don't think he will be great this year either- maybe they are looking beyond this year
  2. McCain quotes that aren't doctored aren't too impressive either!
  3. Size doesn't blow anyone off the ball at this level, if it did, then Walker would be a quality player. Explosiveness off the snap does it, and he has very little of that....despite what many fans convince themselves because they want the team to be better than it really is
  4. As Master Aldanon says, omen's can be quite tasty, particularly with some Duskwood jam
  5. Donahoe is the reason we are still rebuilding. Two years isn't nearly enough to recover from his disaster
  6. They said we aren't rebuilding so that the sheep will continue to buy tickets and merchandise. Anyone watching could see that we were rebuilding. When people want to see Roscoe Parrish as a bigger part of the offense, the team is hurting talent wise. Nobody ever called for Don Edwards to be a bigger part of the offense!
  7. Its his choice, it doesn't matter what the plebeians say
  8. The crowd? You absolutely have to be kidding me! Yes, the Bills will win or at least play well and lose because a bunch hand clapping, drinking fools. Talent and coaching really has nothing to do with it.....the fans will them into the proper position to make plays. The fans should be paid to coach the team. Fans are wonderful and should rule the world........
  9. Preaching to the choir, my friend, preaching to the choir
  10. Just remember- we are better on paper, but things seldom work out that way. I think the Dolphins will be a tough game- remember how long it took to put them away last year. Much like us, they aren't good but can be dangerous
  11. No way. If he is productive he is fine.......a lot of pencil pushing so-called experts labeled Dan Wilkinson a bust. Those people are typical fantasy football players who know nothing about football. The guy played more than a decade and teams still wanted him.
  12. I still think we are horrendous at WR and inexperienced at QB. Edwards will probably have growing pains, but I am fine with that. I think we will be happy with the team's progression at season's end- whether the record is better or not.
  13. This sounds like a good description....of BOTH parties. They both stink something rotten
  14. OK, but we have a very inexperienced QB, the center position is very weak. Who is our #2 wideout- would you really put a rookie out there? How much have our RB's improved in blitz pickup? How good will our fullbacks be? Thats just offensively- will Stroud be fully recovered? Beyond our #3 DT, is there anyone? Our secondary is deep now, but is it any good? OK, now thats some of our issues- both New York and Miami had down years. New York is 2 seasons removed from playoffs and Miami would do better even with last years' roster just based on bad breaks. Miami was near the top of the league in yards per rush and has improved their offensive line in the offseason
  15. I was not being facetious at all about Jauron. He inherited a HORRIBLE team, one that is the NCAA Division I equivalent of not being fully funded and in a major conference. He was put in a position that is not competitive, and nearly finished .500 twice. We have a bunch of babies on the field, and they aren't exactly ready for prime time. I feel our coaching staff has worked as best as they can to put the players into proper position, but they don't really know how to finish and make plays yet. Now call me negative because I don't think we will match last year's record, but I feel that this team can and will make a quantum leap forward this season, although I don't think it will translate into wins. Compare it to the coach that recruits all freshmen who is competing against a bunch of talented JUCO transfers on other teams. For a few seasons, the freshmen will get their clocks cleaned by the more experienced teams, but will gel into a cohesive unit over time. After they gain experience together, that team will run through walls for each other, and that eventually will translate into wins. Dick Jauron is the quintessential delegator and very good motivator. The problem is he's been forced to put a bunch of backups on the field (sometimes prior to injuries) and been very thin at some positions because of horrible moves made before his arrival. I still think we are at least 2-3 seasons away from doing a heck of a lot, but we may contend for a wildcard next season. Complain about not making playoffs, but I love this stage of team building- it makes it that much more fun when you can see them slowly improve. Our stars have a long way to go.
  16. Who cares about this whole change thing. Overrated. Either you like him as a candidate or you don't. Not quite sure who I will vote for....neither guy has really stepped up yet, IMHO I will say I don't like the attacks on McCain's service.....annoys me the same as when the moron that we have in office now did it to Frankenkerry
  17. Krazykat.....where do I start with that war and peace excerpt. Lynch is the one who has to earn respect- the OC doesn't know how much he'll be in on third downs based on LOUSY PERFORMANCE. He couldn't have blocked me last year, much less a blitzing linebacker. Thomas was better than any running back we had in picking up the blitz, which isn't really a tough thing to do. Yes, we should respect Jauron- he's been here two years, which isn't a lot of time to accomplish anything with a team thats on par with the Arizona Cardinals. Did you know that the Browns have made playoffs more recently than the Bills- but thats Jauron's fault, of course. He should be respected just for sticking it out with one of the worst franchises in pro sports. And oh, the wonderful, knowledgeable fans in that area....the fans that think that a roscoe is comparable to Wes Welker- the top receiver in the league- oh, of course- he is wonderful. He is just being held back because the OC has a vendetta against him for some reason or other. Oh, and those same fans demand that the QB is changed every so often- God forbid those fans should become board. Hey, why not have clowns runnning around in the stands, twisting balloons into the shape of animals. And no, we should not believe what comes out of One Bills Drive, we should all listen to the buffoons on WGR55, who aren't even allowed to give their own opinions. We should all be idiots and listen to mindless talk radio, because if it is negative, it must be right. I am waiting for more calls for Jim Kelly to be our offensive coordinator- maybe he could teach our players to read defenses better. OK, I feel much better now
  18. We will see if he starts out as the #2 WR. We may have whats his name out there to start the season- the punt returner.
  19. Ah, lies and stats (directed at use of stats, not directed at you). The defenses focus more on our left side, because Jason Peters is a stud. I never said that Walker isn't serviceable, he doesn't play up to his physical talents. He is nowhere near as dreadful as Melvin Fowler
  20. Make that third.....behind King Dubb-yah and Jimmah Humanitarian
  21. They said it would get to around 50-70 miles on a charge and it would run like a regular car with the same features. Also said that it would be expensive when finished in 2010, but affordable once it was mass produced by 2012. A lot of cell phone analogies were made- particularly about how tough that industry was to change until AT&T was broken up and the smart companies moved to digital and the dumb ones fell behind. Once other companies are on board, supply and demand would take over as it always does, and prices would go down- in addition on the cell phone analogies, they said that cars could even be paid for on rebates, with dealers selling miles to customers
  22. How is it pie in the sky when a car manufacturer say they not only can have a fully electric car within two years, but would be able to mass produce it just two years later. Also said that the fuel equivalent cost would be comparable to about what $1.50/gallon would be now. He also said that the infrastructure to make all of this work would cost us about what we are paying for 2 months of oil. If its not true, then back to the drawing board. If it is true, then it would be great
  23. Do you think we could solve this energy problem for less than we pay to get all the oil in the middle east?
  24. We have a very green QB with not many options to throw to other than Lee Evans. We have a major problem at center, and that creates problems down the entire line. Add on to that, unless our RB's show a huge improvement in blitz pickup, then we are in trouble there as well. So in essence, we need a lot to happen to have any type of passing game. Right tackle is an issue in the run game as well. The biggest improvement on offense will be because of the improvement on defense.
