  1. If you think he should be fired- fine, thats your opinion. What makes you think I guy like Spagnuolo would come to Bufalo, much less coach the team? You have to have a guy lined up if you make a move- I'm tired of these crapshoots whenever Wilson just feels he has to change things just to change them.
  2. If we can get Schottenheimer, then fine, fire Jauron and bring him in- what I am not for is bringing in a coach that is equal or below Jauron. Have a replacement ready or don't make a move.
  3. I remember that even the not so talented players played with more of an edge to them for Marv- I don't think Jauron will ever be as good as Levy, but I don't think we should consider firing him unless we have a sure thing lined up- but when he goes, we will conduct the usual search
  4. A bunch of morons on a message board ripping somebody who has an opinion different than theirs.....that takes a lot of intelligence. Having lived in Buffalo for as long as I did, I didn't expect much more than that.....typical flock mentality that abounds there. Pozfan, I don't agree with some of what you said- Jauron has a similar approach to Levy, but isn't nearly as good. In his defense, most of our starting offensive and defensive linemen wouldn't have made the roster when Levy first came to Buffalo. And the same goes for our WR's
  5. A lot of teams thought that of Pennington......he's probably laughin g at them now- maybe even a sinister, maniacal laugh
  6. I think the defense had more to do with that success than Flutie- the Bills were led to their last playoff appearance by Rob Johnson, not Flutie
  7. I am not going to argue the point that the Lions were terrible under his watch- but do you actually know that he made all the decisions?
  8. All I am saying is that we don't know the circumstances he worked under there- circumstances dictate a lot
  9. To be honest, I don't know much about Matt Millen- to be fair though, the Lions were in already in shambles when he got there. Who knows what happened above him while he was there.
  10. I can't think of anyone on the roster other than Lindell and Mooorman that I have confidence in....and yes, I know Lindell had a stinker of a game last week.
  11. Levy also had Will Wolford, Jim Ritcher, Kent Hull John Davis and Howard Ballard on offense; Bruce Smith, Jeff Wright/Ted Washington and Phil Hansen on defense. Jauron, Williams and Mularkey have had a bunch of scrubs
  12. Holcomb struggled against the blitz and had minimal protection from the line. No QB will be all that good unless you protect them
  13. QB's that have both accuracy and the ability to beat the blitz are the scariest in the league- ability to throw the deep outs is a plus but not mandatory
  14. Those are facts- and to Hitler, any other belief did not make sense, and he could not rationalize why anyone would believe different. In his eyes, different was evil and evil needed to be eliminated. Eliminating evil sounds like the right thing to do, doesn't it- especially when it becomes a majority view. Problem is, that when you seek to eliminate evil, you become the very thing you seek to stop. Evil perpetuates itself and always will exist- hence the paradox of the Yin and the Yang. The two cannot exist without the other and sometimes cannot be told apart
  15. Many of the great tragedies in human histories come when people try to fight evil- Look at the inquisition- did they believe they were doing good? Of course they did. Look at the holocaust- in Hitler's warped and twisted mind, was he doing the right thing? Look at Ruwanda (sp?). Look at sme of the things that have taken place during our war on terror. Neither muslims nor christians are bad- when they get power, it corrupts them. Religion + Power=evil and that is a formula that will never change- regardless of how well intentioned the cause seems to be.
  16. I have to disagree with you- first off, with all the taxes in that area, whatever Wilson would pay is worth less than the coach would get for the same $$$$ elsewhere. Second, no coach that is worth anything want a meddling owner to undermine him. I couldn't picture Schottenheimer in Buffalo or Oakland
  17. We easily could have lost the games against Oakland, Jacksonville and San Diego- as they are much better at the line of scrimmage. We are terrible at the point of attack and no coach is going to change that.
  18. We have garbage at center and defensive end and a guy who can't get out of his stance at right tackle. We have very little talent other than Evans on the outside. How could this team possibly be 8-4 right now. You can't game plan around lack of talent- not if the other teams have coaches worth anything. Fix the &%&& line already, its been over a decade
  19. But Edwards is better than Kelly, Lynch is better than Thomas, Parrish is MUCH better than Reed- he's a hall of famer! Schobel is every bit as good as Bruce and Crowell is better than Talley lol
  20. Neither should be attacked. Both religions have very strong points, but good can go bad when given too much power
  21. What, does the truth hurt? aww, would you like me to crack out the violins for the poor, poor Buffalo fans.........
  22. Some are, some aren't. The fact is that when your offensive and defensive lines are horribly inadequate, you can have hall of famers behind them and it won't matter. Everything begins and ends at the line of scrimmage- remember when the Dallas/San Francisco rivalry turned in the 1990's.....
  23. Depends on whether you change schemes or not- personally, I despise the Cover-2
  24. 1billsfan- don't mistake my patience for defending Jauron. All I want is to isolate the problem we've had- personally, I DON'T LIKE the schemes we run. Has it been bad coaching or bad players- face it, you don't know and neither do I. Our offensive line has been declining since the day Polian left. Our D-line is terrible. I would prefer good lines and bad skill players to having it the other way around, because you can have some sense of what you are doing with a good line. If we change coaches we do- not really a big deal, but we'll be starting over again. I prefer to continue down the current road- then we fix the lines and see where it takes us- that would isolate whatever problem is holding us back. Either way, Wilson will never get a blue chip coach. That said, there is no quick fix- the two lines are in such disarray it will take 2-3 years to fix them as good linemen are hard to come by.
