  1. Sometimes emotion can be a bad thing- coaching style really doesn't matter.....a coach needs to be himself, instead of trying to emulate somebody else's style
  2. Our justice system is screwed up with white collar crimes? What area isn't it screwed up with it?
  3. So you are saying that to be good, you have to be a screamer? I don't think you are.......but....
  4. Wow- you're more patient that most of the fans! lol
  5. If all you had to be was angry, a lot of people in here could handle the job
  6. I think insinuating that about Ralph is going overboard- he micromanages like a fan playing Madden.....and thats perfectly fine for a fan- not for someone who holds a title in a corporation. His constant interference and knee jerk reactions has limited the front office's ability to isolate problems and fix them....is it talent, is it coaching....is it both? We all have our opinions but can't really know. Don't be so sure about them moving to Toronto- the team has been mentioned in this region (Midwest) for the past few months.
  7. Didn't say you EVER said anything of the sort- I just saw it in your post and it pissed me off even seeing what an idiot said awhile back.....my bad, I should have clarified.
  8. A place like Buffalo wouldn't even know what NFL football looks like without Wilson......while he is the main reason the team is struggling, the community owes him a debt of gratitude (even though the is frustrating)- he is the only reason a team is even there. And by the way- I don't think it came from you, but the dementia talk and stuff like that is uncalled for. He clearly DOES NOT suffer from dementia or anything like that....unfortunately, I am more knowledgeable about that topic that I'd like to be....
  9. I agree about Peters, but excpet for a handful of players, we really need to blow this team up and start over. This group will never be better than .500 and it will take a lot of luck to get that far with them.....we have horribly neglected substance for style for a decade now, none of the offensive linemen fit well together and our supposedly small, quick DE's (aside from Schobel) are slow. Glad we signed Lee Evans to a huge contract, he's a great blocker......
  10. Didn't have time to look at it- I've been crazy busy, despite my posting as of late.....I only have time to skim. I have no problem with fans having knee jerk reactions, the thing I have a problem with is the absolute venom directed at Wilson and some of the related comments.....which probably aren't related to your post either
  11. Losman screwed up on that play, so did the coaches, so did the line. Do we get rid of everybody today? Don't get me wrong, its fine for fans to make knee jerk reactions- thats what they do. But when you expect football management or the management of any business to make knee jerk reactions, you are kidding yourself. Its the same as the basketball coach that starts yanking people off the floor everytime they do something wronf, or the manager that fires people everytime they make a mistake. Fear is a very powerful short term motivator. Problem is, it doesn't work for long, and gets the people that remain to start being tentative and overthink everything.
  12. I have no doubt we could beat them- we beat Kansas City, St. Louis and San Diego......all awful teams. What would it prove though.
  13. How about brushing the fans teeth with a crowbar! Appease the fans...please. With the garbage I have seen on this board over the past week, the fans should be looking to appease Ralph Wilson- he doesn't need Buffalo, Buffalo needs him. Talk of him having dementia, being in diapers and LOW CLASS things of the sort. He deserves better than that type of IGNORANCE. He is guilty of interfering and mismanaging and micromanaging buy doesn't deserve the UNAPPRECIATIVE way he is treated by these so-called fans. No, the Bills don't need to do anything in the name of appeasing fans- the ones that leave will be replaced by dozens more waiting to take the vacated tickets- either in Buffalo or elsewhere. Will the Bills look to improve in the offseason, of course they will. Whoever that isn't enough for can go listen to Jerry Sullivan and Howard Simon, both of whom would have no credibility anywhere outside Buffalo.
  14. I didn't say he's good. We won't know much about the lines or the coaching staff until we have something- ANYTHING on the lines. Peronally, I say we don't even start there- bring in a GM. I have already started I want Pete Metzelaars. On the field, bring in Albert Haynesworth and Jeff Saturday. Use the top two picks on defensive ends, which is a deep position this year. Put anyone at right tackle and it will be an improvement on Walker who can't get out of his stance until Tuesday. Jauron may not be a great coach, but we have bigger problems that head coach to fix. I think we are a bad team that has overachieved instead of a good team that has underachieved.
  15. Maybe he sees that the team doesn't have the talent that fanatics want to believe. 6-8 wins is the ceiling for this group and it has been for nearly a decade now. Its time to blow up this team and actually rebuild, instead of going with false hope.
  16. Anyone who denies the Holocaust is an absolute piece of trash. As far as thew withdrawl, it can't happen soon enough- the war was EXACTLY what AL Quaeda wanted and we played right into our hands- they wanted to fight us over there and they wanted us to set up house of cards democracies.
  17. I applaud Powell for that statement......Limbaugh's hateful rantings aren't even close to what conservatives believe and do nothing but undermine them. He is nothing but poison to their agenda
  18. Isn't this the place that ripped him for playing not to lose? I don't agree with the call, but he was looking to put them away
  19. Here are some thoughts from me about yesterday- for what they are worth. The desperate wishes of fans that this is a good team that underachieves due to bad coaching- I disagree. I don't think much separates us from the Detroit Lions other than special teams and preparation. Jauron has his faults on game day, but the team is well prepared on the opponent's tendencies. Much like the lions, we have focused way to much on things other than the line off scrimmage- them on WR's us on DB's. Our offensive line is in shambles- there MUST be a common strength among the linemen and there isn't. The defensive line is in worse shape. Our defense is supposed to be built around a stout middle and small, quick DE's. Our ends have a slow first step- they are ok once they get going, but by then its too late...we aren't usually playing from ahead anyways. I agree about the Losman roll out- that one is on our coaches....they should have know he couldn't handle it. I think this team needs to be blown up....keep Lynch, Evans, Edwards, Schobel.....get rid of everyone else you can without messing up the cap. Now, on the the stuff I saw here yesterday. We act no different than any other group of fans....people saying it doesn't matter that Hardy got hurt because he doesn't produce, people wishing Wilson dead for the sake of a few more wins...etc..... Then the ignorant comments about Wilson suffering from dementia or being in diapers. Those were truly ignorant comments. When you have to deal with that type of stuff its not so funny. If Bills fans put them ahead of other fans, they should act like it
  20. Although Evans has only had one really good year, I do think he is very good- just not elite. What if we had beaten the Jets? But we didn't. The Jets will go out and draft another QB who will also play well behind that line and lead them to 10 win seasons, like Favre and Pennington have. The Dolphins are not an abberation- they had one of the better OL's last year and moved people to more natural positions after drafting Long. The Pats are built on dominating the line of scrimmage and they have toughened up after turning into a finesse team last season. Our DE's would be better if we were stonger inside, but they still have a slow first step, which negates the concept of having undersized, quick ends. Neither is Schobel, who isn't a dominator by any means. Ellison wasn't a starter until Crowell went down. Coaching decisions....every coach makes bad decisions during games......Tomlin nearly blew last Sunday's game by not kicking a field goal.....good players cover up bad decisions, and we don't have nearly enough....particularly on the offensive and defensive lines Another thing- so many people said during the offseason that Edwards is fully developed and won't regress or have growing pains- welcome to reality- it happens to all young QB's. Maybe Trent will grow out of it, maybe he won't. Only time will tell.
  21. Does winning today make us the better team? The Jets are pushing 10 wins for the second time in 3 years. The Dolphins are finally reaping the benefits of patiently drafting talented offensive linemen every year. The Patriots are so good at the line of scrimmage they are winning with a bum at QB. Our offensive line is scattershot- Jason Peters is average sized and athletic, Dockery is big and powerful, Fowler is undersized and lacks pop, Preston is big but not powerful, Butler is big and powerful, Walker is oversized and not explosive. There is no common thread there. What was this line put together to do? Some guys are suited for zone blocking some are suited for man blocking and Walker really is suited for falling forward. We have undersized defensive ends with a slow first step in Denney and Kelsay, a good run plugger at DE in Stroud and a very good backup in Spencer Johnson. This covers the talent we have at LB and in the secondary. Our talent will usually put us in the 7-9 to 9-7 range, consistently teasing playoffs but missing them if coaching is good enough. Unless the goal is to just be entertaining and hang around to the end of the season, we need to change. The foundation this team is built on is among the worst in the NFL. Evans is not as good as any of the WR's mentioned
  22. We are that bad. Absolutely. And we are on pace to get worse. I look at our division and I see the NFC East of the early 1990's. The Jets, Patriots and Dolphins all have good coaching and have heavily concentrated their offseason moves on the line of scrimmage. Miami has the best offensive line in the division, while New England has the best defensive line. NY is better than us on both as well. Our moves constantly involve what happens behind the line of scrimmage- look at our first day picks over the past few years: Lynch, Whitner, Poz, Evans, Losman, Parrish...it goes on and on. Forget the QB and forget the coach. We need Wilson to abdicate power as President of operations and hire a capable GM. I propose former Buffalo Bill standout Pete Metzelaars as our next GM. He has worked under Polian for a long time in INdy now and I am sure he is fully ready for what the job entails. Give him a long term deal with a no-fire clause, so he doesn't have to watch over his shoulder as he rebuilds the team- and let him be the one to decide Jauron's fate- not the fans. Its ok for fans to make knee jerk reactions, but when coaches or the front office listens to those knee jerk reactions, things fall apart fast
