  1. It was a stupid thing for him to do....but the result was far more stupid.
  2. The problem there is who would be the starting QB- Eli or Peyton. That wouldn't work
  3. What a shame.....when we need to extend the school day/year and increase the curriculum to include tougher coursework, we get this. Current work which is college level should be in elementary school. No child left behind? Please- some need to be left behind- let the best rise to the top and let the others learn to do useful things, like build computers, cars and other needed resources- you can make enough money to live well, don't need a degree and won't water down the educational system.
  4. Yes, he is a young QB with a terrible offensive line, few offensive weapons and a fan base that is the same as any other fan base in the league
  5. Did I say that? Maybe I did, after all, I'm usually stupid and shallow......
  6. Nope....they'd have Chad Pennington, who is doing pretty well with one of the three teams leading the AFC East....can't remember, which team in the division isn't like the others?
  7. We've installed a great and wonderful demoncracy there, haven't we.......
  8. I would take any of their offensive linemen...particularly Nick Mangold- hey, didn't they draft him? Drafting linemen, what a novel concept
  9. I can tell you that the rumors down here have already started. If anyone can get something out of him, it is Mike Shanahan
  10. He will be Jay Cutler's backup next year- they will sign him quickly after we cut him
  11. Yes, because football is the be all and end all of the world......I don't think sports in this country has fanatics anymore, they have lunatics and fundamentalists
  12. Beating the guy bloody was completely unnecessary and ridiculous.......
  13. What if the team is built on a shaky foundation and has reached its ceiling......I think it has.
  14. This really has the feeling of the 1994 season....
  15. So after we play well against the Jests, we forget everything that came before? The only reason the QB position has hurt us us because we have wasted so many picks on it. The offensive and defensive lines are both in shambles- and any changes made are cosmetic until that is fixed
  16. Please. Don't even mention Ronald Reagan's name in a thread about Bush, The past eight years would have made him nauseous
  17. I agreed with everything you said until you brought up the combine......to me, the combine is where bad teams talk themselves into staying bad
  18. I put Butler, Walker, Preston, Fowler, Schobel, Denney, Kelsay, Parrish and Jackson all on the trading block, and try to move up from any of our positions or to stockpile picks. Sure, we may get nothing for some of those players, but we can see if teams look. We have to find a common thread on the offensive line, and as I have said so many times, focus on athleticism- if Lynch is one cut and downhill, he will be one of the top backs in the league. He was able to do that this past week, but now that I actually saw the game (NFL Replay-HD), Jenkins did not look at 100% and they are nothing without him. If Albert Haynesworth is our only free agent pickup, I would still be ecstatic. I would still like to use our first two picks on DL's (Assuming they are value at that spot). With a stronger DL, I think our secondary and linebackers increased effectivness goes without saying. I would also like a sam gash type fullback- that would also increase Lynch's effectiveness. Coaching wise- I really don't care either way. i think the change has to come from above the head coach level- we keep trying to frankenstein a team together and player talents don't match up well. We need somebody with a vision of what they want the team's strengths to be and what weaknesses are acceptable to cover behind those strengths.
  19. I know what your point was- mine was to make sure everyone that is too young to know completely understands what a piece of trash Saban really was
  20. Yeah, but its ok when Saban does it- after all he's won championships...which makes it ok to quit without notice.....before you even start.
  21. Its called depersonalization through anonymity. And I'll add to that- there is a stupid culture in our country that thinks sports are actually important....sports were more fun to watch when they were merely an escape from the every day grind. Now there are people who think we would be better off if Jauron, Wilson and Losman were dead.......thhose people lead sad existences and I really pity them.
