  1. I thought it was just to line the birdcage
  2. Quite the contrary- he tells many Bills fans EXACTLY what they want to hear
  3. The problem is the line and the coaching- ok, so when is it one or the other- pretty tough to isolate that. I say keep jauron and use the money to buy some linemen instead of buying out his contract and bringing in a guy with no head coaching experience
  4. Everyone gets on Jauron's case for just having that one 13-3 season- lets not judge Sparano just yet either
  5. I don't disagree with you- I said put hom on the block, I didn't say pull the trigger for whatever we can get. If we could strategically move up or down- either getting one or multiple impact players on the lines, great. If not, keep him. Always have to keep all options open
  6. Can't agree with that. Look at what we have to do- Whitner has to play in the middle of nowhere because of the line play and can't ever been in position. We have a young QB and young WR's with a bad line- we are in a position that good calls won't yield a good result quite often. Look at the turnovers generated yesterday- thats preparation meeting opportunity- happened against KC as well and against Dallas last year. We need at least a center and RT on the OL and a lot more than that on the DL
  7. Whether or not Dick Jauron remains is immaterial. We have to build the offensive and defensive lines- and it may take more than one year. We can't be scheming around terrible lines year after year. The Bills State of the line of scimmage has been pathetic year after year, while the fans bicker over who should be throwing passes, which is equally pathetic
  8. It shouldn't hinge on whether we beat the Patriots or not- either Wilson wants him as a head coach or doesn't. Relying on W's and L's is a weak way to make a decision- you can do that without even watching the games. Anyone who thinks I am saying that winning isn't important isn't reading what I mean
  9. I really like what I have seen out of Derek Fine so far. If Hardy can develop in the next few years, we can have a good group- things don't happen overnight
  10. I am for putting guys like Jackson and Parrish on the block- not Peters. Sure, Jackson is very productive, by Lynch is the definite starter- if we can get a quality lineman out of dealing hi, fine. Peters is a stud LT....you don't give that away
  11. As tempting as it would be to look for a trade, I say show him the money. When he is game ready, he is one of the few OLT's that doesn't need much help, allowing help to be given on other areas on the line- this is huge
  12. Almost every newspaper hires a guy for this role- when I worked at Delta State and we hosted North Dakota State in the national semifinals for Division 2 football, I recall a horribly offensive article in the Fargo Forum- the guy explained that it was his job to write that........
  13. If we fix the interior line, we will look better against 3-4 defenses. You have to be able to attack the gap between the NT and DE's......for our offense, that gap may as well not be there
  14. With our pourous defensive line, do you really want the safeties up? On a better team, I think Whitner looks a lot better You are misquoting Cutler- he said he has a better arm than Elway, not that he is a better QB
  15. He very well may not relish it- his job is to write things that piss people off....that's all his job is
  16. To any of the people offended by my previous post, please accept my apology- I put a nearly direct quote from the broadcast with a sarcastic rebuttal. Whether intended or not, the Denver guys said something they shouldn't have...and I didn't make that clear enough
  17. That was my point- it was very dumb to say it the way they did. I was speechless when I heard it. The way they said it is almost verbatim to what I said. I probably should have specified that in my previous post and I apologize for that- the sarcastic comment I put at the end would probably have been taken differently- sorry to anyone offended. Personally, I still can't believe they said what they did and trust me- someone as aviaphobic as myself would not say something like that as a joke- I have to take strong meds to even get on a plane I really, really hope everyone realizes I was not making a joke at all
  18. I don't know if anyone is listening to the Denver broadcast, but they just said that the San Diego Chargers charter flight has exploded. What happens now?
  19. The way our high DB picks are playing, maybe we should take more!
  20. I'd say Jackson is very tradable- I hate losing a good player, but you don't really get anything for bad players
