  1. I'd say he isn't the player he was before the injury. He really wears down over the season and he gets hurt more often. He's had a great career
  2. Well, I think Eli is the better of the two and always have- but the surrounding talkent and coaching styles/schemes of the teams are different. All we have to go on is gut feeling
  3. I think part of it is the more athletic defenses are becoming a problem for the traditional dropback quarterbacks. The NFL is trying to counterbalance, by giving calls to certain teams to keep that style relevant, but you will see more read option style play in the league, along with more spread offenses. They have to go with what is coming out of college and not expect players to adapt to them
  4. Is it that, or maybe his teams tend to win more than they should, to put them in a position they are unfit for. Wins and losses are NOT attributed to the quarterback position.
  5. So you are going with the quarterbacks who had the benefit of playing with the best teams. Fran Tarkington and Archie Manning are both worlds better than Bradshaw. They're better commentators too
  6. Where are Otto Graham, Archie Manning, Fran Tarkington and many others. Winning a superbowl has nothing to with greatness as a quarterback. It's a measure of greatness as a team. And it's really difficult to compare Montana to Brady. Montana played in an era of much better teams, because there was more continuity
  7. I'd start by putting Indianapolis in the Superbowl. I'd follow by stripping the top two picks away. Then I would strip Robert Kraft of ouwnership- because accountability stops with him. I'd open the franchose to bidding, which could include complete relocation.
  8. Again, the dealings with the media aren't relevant. They have no bearing on winning/losing or what happens on the field.
  9. How is being smart with the media or being funny, relevant?
  10. With his family connections, maybe he can get Kevin Killdrive to come back
  11. Yes, the players loved playing for him. Unfotunately, they didn't love winning for him too
  12. ARe you insinuating that we shouldn't bring back Drew Bledsoe?
  13. While I don't like our coordinator either, our offense was hamstrung by poor interior line play and that's difficult to overcome
  14. Regardless of what the armchair analysts and fantasy football experts say, managing a game is the most important skill a quarterback can have
  15. During the time I saw Matt Moore in Miami, before they brought Tannehill in, I saw control over the huddle and ability to make a few plays with limited surrounding talent. I thought they jumped the gun by replacing him too soon. I doubt he'd cost much. I hope we take a look at him. Is he a question mark? Absolutely, but who out there isn't right now
  16. The offensive line has a few quality pieces in place, and with fortification, can become a strength. We may be reaching for an average to maybe slightly above average QB, but those weapons will definitely help. Keeping Hughes, Dareus, Searcy and Spikes is crucial- the defense is the identity of the team and that unit revolves around the line I think we have more glaring needs on offense, but we can't become single minded ont that- of course a better offense makes us a better team, but it is only logical that a better defense serves that purpose as well. Based on teams as they are constituted at the end of the season, we have an easier schedule. Some teams will have new personnel both on the field and coaching staff. Who do you think we will have at QB? Will he know the offense and if not, how long will it take him to surpass Manuel in knowledge of the offense. What if we get a new coordinator and not only the QB has to learn the new offense, but there is a learning curve for everyone?
  17. Been crazy busy! Enjoyed the winning season though. How have you been?
  18. I like what I've seen from Matt Moore. I actually like him better than Tannehil- he shows some fire and leadership in the huddle and made some plays when he had the chance
