If you are going to overpay for a player, you have to be smart about it. Is he good enough to warrant it? Is there another player you'd rather overpay for? The offseason is still young.

I called him that and it was stupid. Sorry, I'm about as far from perfect as you can get. I pity Bush. He didn't have a good presidency, but it would have been a very tough 8 years for anyone that was in there. Obama won't be a "Messiah" as he is very derisivley called, hopefully he just does the best he can with the circumstances. Criticism whether warranted or not comes with the job and Obama will get his share. If he can just get the country out of its shell in the next four years, he will have done a lot. We are paranoid about everything right now and that needs to change. People have given their lives to protect our liberties- and we gave them up in the name of safety. I have to say, I am ashamed of that.

Thats not exactly fair either. They do not represent the values of conservatives anymore than Olbermann represents the liberals. Bush didn't do a good job during a rough eight years that would have been tough on anyone. His failure does not equate a a failure for conservatism My problem with that reference isn't the attack on the new President, but the attack on the Muslim faith. The hatred has to stop. Hate the President all you want, but don't put innocent people in the middle

exactly- every governmental and economic system has its flaws- its man made, so it has to. Capitalism isn't perfect either.

Socialism, nor any other form of government automatically equates to bad. I don't think it could work on a large scale her, but the talking heads convert socialism into evil.

Would you have been saying the same thing about the blind sheep if McCain had been elected? I can respect both Obama and McCain- I couldn't say that about the Democratic and Republican candidates four years ago.

Anyone that made fun of Bush for his lack of public speaking is an idiot. The amount of time these people put into their jobs goes well beyond what most of us can comprehend. During these speeches, they are bound to stumble. I say just discount the opinions of those who can't deal with lack of perfection. I'd prefer somebody who can get America back out of its protective shell to someone who talks like a professional speaker.

Personally, I plan on waiting to see what happens, instead of trying to guess ahead of time.

None of the above- they don't even have to represent my views. The system takes care of that- the President isn't supposed to unilaterally make moves. Bush wasn't able to make abortions illegal, despite the fact that he thinks they should be (just an example). The President needs to present an encompassing vision and have excellent leadership skills. I don't think we've had anything like that as long as I've been alive.

I wasn't big on Clinton or Bush. Both presidencies were built on fallacies. I am still waiting for Obama to close Gitmo and Abu Ghraib.......get to it already, there aren't any more witches...err, terrorists to be found there.

Something to remember about the senior bowl and the drills- linemen don't line up one-on-one in games as they do in drills. Not to mention that in most games, they are familiar with the lineup around them. Also, playing for a win during the season is much different than playing for scouts in a senior bowl game

Part of the problem is that the talent we aquire doesn't fit together into a coherent plan. Its like putting bbq sauce on ice cream

McCargo was looked to as a guy who could have a breakout season last year. After getting injured, he couldn't even be traded. Maybe if he returns to health he can make an impact
