  1. Didn't I say I questioned the accuracy of some of the scenes? I was getting on the way they had him going off on his father when he lost to Clinton. If that happened, he was a POS. As it is, he paled in comparison to his father.
  2. I find it funny that so many people bring up JFK. All accounts I have heard of him refer to him being somewhat of a transformational president, but below average as well. I have yet to hear somebody call him a good or great president. I remember Bush Sr. and Reagan being very dignified presidents from my early years- I don't remember much at all about Carter other than not understanding the whole hostage crisis issue (and I remember a wild celebration in my homeroom class the day they were released). At least from what the movie portrays, George Bush Jr. seems like he was a decent man who had a vision of how the world should be- that vision was used by his cabinet, particularly the vice president (and this is going from the movie, sine we'll never know) to do some pretty bad things. All in all, I can't find a person that can name a republican president that did a poorer job in office than Bush Jr. did. Not all of it was his fault, but it is what it is......
  3. didn't nixon bring about an end to the Vietnam mistake among other things? even carter did something positive. I think there is a decent chance that the younger Bush may have had a mediocre presidency if we hadn't invaded Iraq- and in my opinion mediocre is what one shoots for in that position. Great ones only come every few generations
  4. The Chefs already gave away a high 2nd round pick for an ancient linebacker and a QB that couldn't get the best team in football to playoffs.....maybe we can get Waters for an eighth round pick
  5. I found it interesting, although I am more than skeptical about the accuracy of some of the scenes. If that scene where Clinton won the election was accurate, then shame on W. I applaud George H.W. Bush for choosing the high road in that campaign (at least from what I remember as I was a bit young), taking integrity over re-election. I have a feeling that not taking out Saddam hurt him, as violence tends to be the only thing that people take notice of 'round here. In retrospect, that move was visionary.
  6. I can agree with that- but there is no disputing the man loves his country. He loves to be popular too, but I think he has served his country well overall.
  7. You liked it? Do you think every republican=Bush and every democrat=Clinton..........that would be a very scary world- even scarier than reality.
  8. There are talent issues. Our center and right tackle are not NFL caliber and our best DE is becoming injury prone and never exactly was the next coming of Bruce Smith or even Michael Strahan. Aside from Stroud, the interior of our defensive line is in shambles. Our WR corps is well below average as well. Despite all this, we still finish close to .500 every year. The problem is that Jauron needs to be relieved of his personnel duties- it has never been a strength. Our personnel department has been downgraded repeatedly over the last two decades. Polian is a hall of famer. Butler was a very good GM, but not Bill Polian. Donahoe was an OK GM, but wasn't as good as Butler. Levy was a hall of fame coach and could have been a good GM in the right situation and with experience.
  9. Whats not to like about McCain? I mean, sometimes he panders to the media a bit much for my taste, but I don't have much of a problem with him.
  10. When the liberals get smart, they will rename their version redistribution of the wealth as trickle up. Then they can be smart like the conservatives. Until, then they can sit in the back and shut up. Oh wait, its their turn on the merry-go-round this time......every succeeding president just spends more and points the finger at the other party, while the sheeple play along
  11. It means that Lynch will achieve a state of inner peace.
  12. Wasn't Lincoln the last President who had a TRULY balanced budget?
  13. I'm talking about the partisan sheeple who find it ok to waste time finger pointing instead of looking for a solution. If the idiots in this country- which is most of the sheeple in this country would find the strength to change, then the politicians would have to change as well. Unfortunately, we have become "fat and lazy" and don't have a fraction of the resolve that our forefathers had. I am completely fine with the multi-party system as both have plenty of good ideas
  14. As long as it isn't a super secret mission that involves Duck Dogers
  15. I couldn't care less who is president- just getr done. Enough with the lib, neocon, spindoctor garbage one side is no better than the other and I'm sick of it already
  16. While I don't wish harm on her for any reasons, she is a far bigger obstacle to President Obama than the republicans are. She is the most partisan person I have ever seen- and I don't think I have ever seen her
  17. So what- the players loved Marv Levy too. Whether or not he players like the coach or not has no correlation to how well coached the team is.
  18. I think they should handle it by pairing him with Andre Smith if he falls to us and bringing in Jeff Saturday at center.
  19. Of course I will- do you have something against enjoying yourself? Let it go- if they play well, enjoy it.
  20. Who is this manbearpig I have been reading about and does he know about lions, tigers and Ditka?
  21. I disagree about Madoff- put in some hole somewhere, make him work for the rest of his life and garnish at least 90 percent of his wages- and give that money to the people he ripped off- justice should be served!
