  1. He admitted he was wrong w/Bledsoe- too soon, I may add as well Polian was reeeaaaal fan friendly......
  2. We were better off with Donahoe. Donahoe wasn't perfect, but we would have been better off with him
  3. Have we given the media a reason to say anything good- we are irrelevent and have been for a decade- sometimes it just hurts to hear than, but its true.
  4. I was at a Bills game when it was more than 20 below- a drunk fan dumped a bottle of beer on a fan in front of him- that is assault with a deadly weapon
  5. Winning record is #1? How do you go about winning games? That method should be at the top of the list
  6. You have apparently been the one drinking the kool aid- on Walker. He is a big fat, slow piece of garbage that should have been out of the league years ago. When in condition, Peters has much more explosiveness and pop out of his stance and can get to the next level. Walker an only get to the next level at the buffet line. Chambers or Bell? I don't trust Bell to perform consistently as a backup yet at this stage of his career- give the guy a few years before throwing him to the wolves.
  7. Ruben Brown was a great player that got run out of town by people who needed a scapegoat- plain and simple. Not popular, but fact. He was surrounded by scraps and scrubs- much like what we've had so we could draft fluff like Roscoe Parrish. A place that favors Parrish and Owens over Peters and Brown- not exactly a football town. Maybe a better sight for a reality show filming
  8. You are asking a group that now loves a smug WR who they hated for years- until last week. The same group that would embrace BRIAN COX AND DON SHULA at the drop of a hat. They will fall for anything- who needs an offensive or defensive line....hey, isn't there a fantasy football draft coming up....maybe we can get Chad Johnson too.....more style over substance. What position to take in the draft? How about a playmaker for once.
  9. He'll be fighting for playing time if he makes the roster
  10. I was hoping Vin Diesel would be in it....he's awful. Maybe Dolph Lundgren too. Then George Burns and Clint Eastwood could ride in on horseback and kill everyone
  11. And who did he do well against? He should not be a starting lineman in the league! Walker is big fat and slow
  12. He wasn't all that impressive to me at University of Miami......I almost went off the road when we drafted him as high as we did
  13. Here is what I would like to see (Not sure if we have 1 pick in each round, but I am basing it on that) 1. Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC Sure, we have more pressing needs than MLB, particularly on both lines, but this guy is better than the one we targeted 2 years ago-Patrick Willis. I think he could turn into one of the best LB's we've ever had, and thats saying something. I am pretty sure wherever he ends up, he could be a shoe in for defensive rookie of the year. A hall of famer if he stays healthy. He is the type of player that causes the offense to take extra time before the snap, resulting in delay of game penalties, and he will gum up the QB's reads postsnap, resulting in sacks and turnovers. 2.Peria Jerry, DT, Ole Miss He is explosive and a penetrator. I'd love to see him paired with Stroud in the middle- that would help free up our sub par DE's to be a little more active. I give is about a 50-50 chance he falls to us. 3. Paul Krueger, DE, Utah A true rough and ready football player- this guy can play the run pretty well and is a decent pass rusher. He has football smarts. 4. Shawn Nelson, TE, Southern Mississippi Underrated pass reciever that run good routes- due to smarts and quickness. Has good hands. 6-5, 238....good target for Edwards. 5. Augustus Parrish, OT, Kent State Very athletic, but raw offensive tackle. If he is coached up, could be a good player. Good feet and agility. 6. Darryl Richard, DT, Georgia Tech Good explosiveness, but needs work 7. Otis Wiley, S, Michigan State Good Athlete although not great in run support
  14. I agree- what we need is Rob Johnson throwing the ball to him. Fans didn't like him either lol
  15. I just hope Obama gets on the path to get out of this mess- its very easy to point at history and say he will fail and to be honest, there is a good chance he will. Time will tell- I am just worried about how bad the most violent society in the world will become over the next few years. Scary days, indeed
  16. I like McCain, but I don't think he would have been much different. The last really good candidate (In my opinion, for what its worth) was George H.W. Bush. Clinton was a mediocre president. Obama seems like a decent person, the jury is out as far as I'm concerned at least until midway through his term.
  17. Peters showed some great explosiveness and very good feet over those years- unless thats completely gone, I hink he can return to form. That can be even more pronounced if we get a good replacement for Dockery and the new center holds up.
  18. We have seen 1 great season at LT- we have seen what he can do at OT for a few seasons now
  19. He's a high level athlete- if we ever decided to pick up that option, he'd be snapped up in a second and he knows that If we franchise him and offer him a contract that on paper makes him one of the highest paid OT's in the NFL, I think he'd sign it
  20. Sign him to a backloaded deal with an option that will allow us to release him if he doesn't perform- remember you can't judge a single OL on stats. He plays along w/the others. If he is in shape, he has shown some solid traits that could make him one of the top OL's in team history- he showed that over more than a single season. We can't keep letting our top guys leave.
  21. There is no comparison between Williams and Peters. He was not only out of football shape last year, but he was out of shape. If that problem can be remedied, he could be out LT for the next 7-8 years.
  22. You just aren't going to get consistency out of your left tackle when you don't have much at left guard or center. I also think Walker is sub par. When in shape, Peters has shown the feet and explosiveness of a pro bowl caliber left tackle (note, I said pro bowl caliber, not pro bowl). He definitely has the ability to finish a block and get to the next level. I don't think he has peaked as a run blocker either. I couldn't care less if he's called a top 5 OT or not. He is a foundation block of a strong line.
  23. Working out in your driveway doesn't get you into football shape- it creates a spectacle and a distraction. They need to sign him and get him in for training camp- if the line isn't good, it won't matter if we have the 1989 49ers WR's and Edwards will end up looking more like Hannah Montana than Joe Montana
