We have a slug at left tackle and we don't know what we have at right tackle- fact is that both guys were on the team last year and didn't earn the starting spot at the position they are playing this year. Center should be better, but that is yet to be seen. We have at least one rookie at guard. If the line overachieves, we have a shot on offense, although I am not sold on Edwards yet. At WR, we are clearly better- the presence of Owens may clear things in the middle more, so Evans can be a more complete WR and run slants and crossing routes more. Lynch is ok so far, but needs to improve. I think very little of our front seven on defense. I see 2-5 wins this year

This is not true and Beli-puke has actually admitted that. Kosar's skills were not diminishing all that much at this point. He was cut shortly after shredding the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football. Kosar and Beli-puke butted heads and Kosar lost.

The biggest difference between Beli-puke and Jauron lies in the front office. They continually stock their team through the draft with very good OL's and DL's.....we continually stock DB's who are useless when our line gets blown off the ball. We let go of a pro bowl caliber LT because he was rushed onto the field after a hold out that shouldn't have happened and looked terrible, then shell out big money to a declining WR that can't play any of the 5 OL positions. We are set for another terrible season.

It is time to let go of the no huddle- we don't have all pro's on the offensive line, our linemen will be pretty new at what they are doing across the board. We also don't have a hall of fame QB. Terrell Owens is not Andre Reed and Lee Evans is not James Lofton. And don't ever think we have anything remotely close to Thurman Thomas. Let this group learn to work together- we don't need the gimmicky no huddle.......it would lead to more mistakes.

There is a little bit of conservative and a little bit of liberal in all of us- it just depends on each person, which issues push their buttons. Both sides have valid points and need to be more willing to debate......it is the extreme right and left wingers- mostly on talk radio and the talking heads on tv that drive me up a wall. What do you think about the topic I brought up yesterday (I assume people thought I was being sarcastic and ignored it). What do you think would be the positives and negatives about moving the military from government control to the private sector? Is it feasible? Is it nonsense?

Jeff Wright was an excellent player- all pro caliber if he was used the correct way. He just wasn't a Ted Washington type that was suited for playing NT. He gave Dan Marino and Warren Moon fits though

Hamgartner will be a big factor on whether it works or not- a good center is critical in the no-huddle. He has to make the proper calls and line adjustments. The rest of the line goes without saying. Edwards doesn't have Jim Kelly's arm, guts or intangibles, but he is much better at this stage than Kelly was at reading defenses. Matchups will be critical- and Owens can be the guy that forces advantageous matchups. The critical matchup may not be him, but if he can force a linebacker or safety to cover a RB/WR it will help immensely.

It is easy to believe that the problem is the coach- that would allow for a 1-year change......its not going to be that easy.

Personally, I don't think we ever should have gotten rid of Wade Phillips.
