  1. People want the team to get better- you do that by winning. Wanting the team to lose to get a higher draft pick is counterproductive to getting better. If your scouting department is good, you find good players, regardless of where you draft.
  2. I am glad to see somebody agrees. Although, I don't consider them as taking votes away from the big two, as those votes have to be earned. The democrats saying that Nader cost Gore the election really bothered me.
  3. This may sound overly cynical, but until the American people see the light and realize that neither the democratic or republican leadership have their best interests at heart, the future is hopeless. I am so tired of being told that if I vote for a third-party candidate, that my vote doesn't count- that is herd mentality and weak- and why our country continues to weaken. I am not saying to rule out the major party candidates, but voting for whoever you feel the best candidate is the way to go. Personally, I hope Huckbee runs in 2012. I don't know if I agree with everything he stands for on every issue, but he seems to love his country, is able to separate his own beliefs from the need to be bi-partisan and has the charisma that McCain lacked. He seems to have a very commanding presence- charisma and presence are quite often underrated.
  4. Mid term elections are coming- if people don't like what the people in there are doing, they can give them a big thumbs down.
  5. When I was up there, I argued with people who thought Howard Simon was still good- he jumped the shark a few months after joining up with WGR.....they ruin everything they touch
  6. There is nothing cool or insightful on WGR 55
  7. The Patriots don't scare me in the least. There aura of intimidation and invincibility is done
  8. Home field and the better QB. I have seen Cassell quite a bit this year and he impressed me in pressure situations
  9. Jackson is a better back, but Lynch is a good change of pace guy. You can't get by in this league with one RB. Personally, I would trade anything and everything to get Suh, but I have a feeling we will be looking at Jake Locker. The longer this game stays close, the more it favors KC
  10. I would trade anything we have to get him. He would be the best lineman since Bruce and Ted- he would be what the delusional fans think Schobel is
  11. Ok, so he screwed up and didn't say what he means. Obama has done the same, so did Bush and countless others. Who cares?
  12. Its nice to see that some people in seats of power actually still have a consicence. Congrats
  13. I won't pretend top have heard all of his speeches, but from what I have heard, he has seemed pretty intelligent. Probably not too much on social skills, but he seems pretty smart. It does irritate me when people claim that he said he invented the internet- it is no less ignorant than when social studies classes team that Nixon was impeached- also completely false!
  14. Yes, and it is Dick Jauron's fault that the Bills have stunk for 10 years
  15. As I previously said- I wouldn't mind bringing in Cambell- he has fallen out of favor in Washington and has a lot of talent
  16. I agree, but it could go a long way to helping the debt- cheap domestic energy instead of imported foreign oil helps- everything helps. Heck, it would help if everyone in Buffalo contributed a few hundred bucks after each loss
  17. It is pretty scary. Personally, I would like to see us cut 5 millions barrels of foreign oil/day each of the next few years- and I mean 5 million/day MORE each subsequent year. We need to start building some nuclear power plants. Sure, it would hurt in the short term, but the economy can't be about the short term. The economy needs to be rebuilt- it is too late to just patch it up, it is too much of a mess
  18. You don't think he could argue the conservative point of view better than anyone here? He is pretty dang intelligent, even if you don't agree with his personal viewpoint. There actually are intelligent people on both sides of the aisle- easier to notice them without watching the talking heads
  19. Now I don't support Al Gore, but the FACT is, he NEVER claimed to invent the internet. He did help legislate it into existence by spearheading the The High Performance Computing and Communication Act of 1991. I don't agree with everything he says, but his intelligence is unquestionable- there is no doubt he could argue circles around anyone on this board- and he could do it from a left or right perspective.
  20. I have no opinion on this article- either way. It doesn't provide enough information. What were these people being payed to do? Were they sitting at desks, surfing the web, or doing something we need them to do?
  21. I am not a Dungy fan, but in all fairness, he helped set the stage for this, just as Butch Davis set the stage for Larry Coker's championship season.
  22. I am not against drafting him- good qb's from small schools are the way to go. I do not want him playing any significant snaps next year and possibly the season beyond. We also have to fix the 2 worst lines in history
  23. An interesting side note (not aimed at you), the unemployment rate is not to the left or right, as Fox and MSNBC would have us believe!
  24. please clarify for people who take this as meaning I want everyone dead if I have to be- I don't believe that is what you really meant....at least not from your previous posts
