  1. I would offer our first round pick along with Lynch and Stroud to St. Louis for the top pick and take Ndamkong Suh. If we could then make another trade with our second round pick to get back into the mid to late first and get Terrance Cody or Dan LeFevour, that would be great. I am not concerned with getting Donavan McNabb Shift Hardy to the slot where he no longer has to beat one of the other team's top 2 CBs and I think he could do well in tandem with the 6'5" Nelson, who can either be slot or TE. If we go 4 WR, I think that plays to Fred Jackson's strengths.
  2. The Jets are a classic example of how doing something very well, instead of being decent at everything will get you pretty far
  3. I really like what the Chargers have done on offense this season- has me thinking about what we might be able to do if we moved James Hardy to the slot and had Nelson as a TE/Slot receiver and had multiple 6'5" guys on the inside not covered by CBs.
  4. I don't know- tell me how many of those players are still here..........
  5. I agree partially with the first statement, but good coordinators need to put the good players in the right positions and good position coaches need to enforce good techniqie We have had QB's, but they get knocked around. We need a defensive line to protect the LBs as well Not to mention it is time to realize that we ARE NOT a couple players away- the core of our team is built for mediocrity and that is the biggest reason for our mediocre record. Nix and our new coach needs to evaluate what players we can get value for and we need to accumulate as many draft picks as we can. For the record we have put up over the last 10 years, we have nobody that is indispensible, regardless of how many fans think so. We need to blow this team up and start over.
  6. You left out ability to make plays- something we know Maybin doesn't have. I cringed when we drafted him. We arent having much luck with Big-10 defenders.....
  7. I completely agree- any coach or coordinator is only as good as his players allow him to be, compared to how the opposition matches up/executes
  8. Lets not overblow what a coach can do- he works within the confines of the personnel he has, including their hot and cold streaks. The problem in Buffalo is that the coaches get too much credit/blame. I think he can do the same as Jauron here if we continue to be one of the least talented teams in the league. If we add talent, he may do better
  9. That is the same jump the gun mentality that has ruined our franchise over the last decade. Kevin Gilbride had just a few years with a bad franchise that had no QB as a head coach. A team has won the superbowl with his offense- an offense that is based on something that is taking hold of the league right now- dominating with the passing game that involves spreading out the field and running to keep the other team off balance. I am sure he is very different than he was in Houston and in his last stint as a head coach and the league is more ready for his style of play than it used to be. Being closed minded doesn't get you too far nowadays.....
  10. I would be fine with the Frazier selection. I wouldn't mind seeing the current Cleveland defensive line coach, Bryan Cox as his coordinator and Mike Leach as his offensive coordinator. I think Cox is a future standout as a head coach. Another guy we should consider if we don't get Frazier is Kevin Gilbride- I know he wasn't liked in Buffalo, but who is......
  11. We aren't at the point where you rent a QB and have a shot at the Superbowl. We aren't good on either side of the line up scrimmage, QB, WR or LB. Instead of trading for a declining QB, we should blow this team up and start over
  12. They never were that bad- once Aaron Rodgers learned to get rid of the ball, they did much better. For the early part of his career, he looked like a more mobile Drew Bledsoe, just holding the ball too long. Our line on the other hand, is putrid
  13. Merideth will add some depth to our line- he was a good pick up
  14. Does he have a twin brother? Every time I see the Cowboys on tv down here, he is in a pressbox
  15. Thank you- not too many people give credit for effort anymore Where would you have safely landed the helicopter. People in Haiti deserve help just as much as people in New Orleans....and they will be victimized by probably more scams that will eat up donation money.
  16. So one side should do the same thing the other side did.......that worked well in third grade too
  17. I can agree with you on this- and I never do discount either party. I look at them as much as I look at any other candidate.
  18. That's the problem- they have to make a confident move and ignore the fanbase. The fanbase doesn't know what it wants, they have to be told what they want
  19. The thread where we argued about concussions!
  20. Elbert Dubenion, Tom Sestak and Cookie Gilchrist- first things first!
  21. The easier way isn't always the best way. The two party system is a joke
  22. What do you want? A gold star for doing the right thing?
  23. I agree- I don't understand criticizing or politicizing this move at all. If anyone can't understand what happened their, picture going to a family member's funeral and what that is like- then multiply it by 100,000. That's what happened over there
  24. Well, I can't really vote up there. I will listen to what any candidate has to bring to the table- I have never registered with a party and I never will. The Tea Party wouldn't have so many supporters if they didn't represent something.
