Joe- I think I am beginning to see your argument- I think homosexuals should openly be able to serve, but should not receive any preferential treatment. Nor should women or any other person. Being in the military is serious business and if someone can't handle it, they should be doing something else.

I agree with you that Joe has a point about the workings of the military, but there should be no type of sexual relations- homo or hetero going on during combat operations, so it should be a wash. If somebody can perform on the battlefield, we should be using them

I am for no spending freeze and repealing don'tr ask dont tell- if we don't have the strongest military, we will be overrun.....we aren't exactly popular.

Not really. Trent Edwards isn't exactly Joe Montana, but he has showed a level of competence in a very short period of time- while playing behind a line who's skill level approaches your intelligence level apparently........

I am a Browns fan in addition to a Bills fan. I have picked the Browns to beat the Bills the last three times. Anderson is a lesser version of Drew Bledsoe, with less ability to read a defense. Brady Quinn is a clipboard holder. Trent Edwards has actually shown me something. If Edwards played behind an offensive line the caliber of what the Browns had, he would be at least good enough to get a team to the playoffs. The Bill's offensive and defense lines are disgraceful

Don't ask, don't tell serves no purpose other than to put more mental strain on troops that are in a life or death situation. It is something that never should have passed. Not a fan of Clinton and I thought he really showed his true face during the primaries.

You are so wrong, it isn't even funny. Brady Quinn isn't even close to Edwards. Quinn has horrible accuracy problems and flinches in the face of the pass rush. When he is protected, Edwards is more than good enough, but thats asking a lot from the least talented OL in the game- which is Buffalo, if you haven't guessed

That is about an hour I will never get back. I can't recall much of anything substantial being said at a State of the Union address. The people saying that Obama hasn't done anything about the economy are as DUMB as the ones blaming Bush for the recession/near depression. But then again, that is what I have come to expect from the people of our country. Maybe Bush could have lessened the recession with some more oversight on the large corporations, but that wasn't the way he governed, nor the way he was elected to govern. Whether we like it or not, the United States doesn't exist in a vacuum, no matter how deluded we are about being so high and mighty. The world has been going through an economic down cycle and it was bound to affect us no matter what our government did. As par as the comments I have heard about Pelosi....why bother. She is as easy a target as Bush was....its a waste of time, like shooting fish in a barrel. Its high time that the American people stop wasting time criticizing every move their least favorite politicians make- and look in the mirror, because the American people are the root of the political problem- the politicians just act on what will get a vote.
