1985 BILLS DRAFT BEST EVER IN THE NFL??
Adam replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll be lucky if he is better than Erik FLowers -
So be it- that is part of building a team. Claussen doesn't make us a playoff team overnight either. Up until the Arizona game, I liked what I saw out of Edwards for a season and a half. Rememberthe knock about Claussen in that article- he played behind a subpar line- which probably was more talented than ours. You can't develop a winning QB with a pourous defense and bad offensive line

I am not so concerned with contributing right away. Better to be right than right away!

Has the NFL or Miami Dolphins reprimanded or fined the fan for his involvement?

Andre Reed needs to be inducted this year.

What he fails to recognize is that he is completely wrong. -

Superbowl rings and team record is an ridiculous consideration. Those things are based on being lucky enough to end up on the right team. If Bruce Smith played on Indianapolis in the early 1990's, his sack total may have been cut in half, as teams wouldn't be playing from behind as much. -
Phil Simms implies that SBXXV Bills Defense

When he played Jeff Wright out of position, the defense went south. He clearly did not maximize Wright's skills by asking him to be Fred Smerlas -

You are comparing apples and oranges. There were more of an outside threat- Reed did his best work over the middle. He is a stronger/less shifty version of Wes Welker and very deserving of the hall of fame. More deserving than Kelly was -
I have heard a lot of people say that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that began under the Bush Administration are the first wars in history that were funded completely without raising taxes to pay for them. Is there actual fact to back this up or is it just propaganda against an extremely unpopular president. I hope there is some serious fact in this thread and not a ton of flaming, hijacking it. The statement covers an enormous span of time and a ton of countries and wars. I can't begin to think of how to research it.

ESPN Truth and Rumors: Buffalo and Vick
Adam replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What has he accomplished since returning to the league? His speed and mobility isn't what it once was. I am not against standing pat at QB and fixing the offensive line. The sheep will continue to listen to dumb old WGR and will continue to buy tickets- cause there is nothing else to do up there! -
What current Bills would've started for us in the early '90s?

Norwood tailed off at the end of his career. I would take Steve Christie over NORWOOD or Lindell. Remember that as you take off your Tom Brady jersey tonight -

Wright wasn't overrated. Our coaches were just too dumb to use him correctly. Wouldn't have surprised me if those idiots putt Kelly or Reed at NT...... -

Schobel would have been a third down guy behind Bruce and Hansen- and a very good one at that. Evans would have been a DOMINANT WR, opposite Lofton (who was better) and with Reed in the slot Stroud either starts at NT in the 3-4 or even better, next to Jeff Wright, who would play he natural position, instead of the idiotic mistake of the coaching staff, playing him at NT. Williams would be a backup Florence or McGee could have been the nobody that often was opposite Nate Odomes, who was VERY overrated, IMHO -
Why do Bills fans cling to crappy QB's?
Adam replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Losman was a project and shouldn't have started as quickly as he did. Donahoe should have been smarter than the average fan and kept Bledsoe. Losman showed a few flashes but fizzled out after taking too many bad hits and not having anyone other than Lee Evans to throw to. Edwards showed flashes as well, but got knocked into oblivion and rushed back from a concussion. We need to fix the line. Bring Ferragamo back at QB for all I care -

Adam replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both JP Losman and Trent Edwards have shown flashes- but that fizzled out due to having no blocking up front and a defense that isn't good enough. The defense factor won't effect veterans very much- notice Bledsoe in his second year after we got him- but when you are developing a young QB, that can be a major added pressure. If we find a QB of the future, I don't want him on the field for a year or two- we need to stabilize the offensive line before we waste another high pick. -
I mean terrorist in terms of using his methods to discourage abortion procedures- he said it was his goal in killing the doctor instead of injuring him to prevent him from training others. I don't consider him an anti-abortion activist- he is a terrorist and a madman. And anyone who lumps anti-abortionists with him is an idiot. You don't fix things with lawlessness and such
-
I wish I could avoid saying that is a possibility, but facts are that being a good person (which most of our troops are) doesn't mean that you won't do bad things. Sometimes human nature is unavoidable and history has proved that many times over.
-
I agree with you- he is in the minority and should be treated as such. Extremists are idiots- and I consider him to be a terrorist. The worst thing about him is that he will probably inspire copy cats and give good anti abortionists a bad name- unfairly, I might add. Throughout history, we can find cases of people fighting for what they believe to be a noble cause, but bludgeoning their own case with their actions. Ghandi was a true leader- I don't think we will see his like for a very long time.

I sure hope so.....it is a waste of time!
-
But the fact remains- what he did was murder, illegal and immoral. When you try to enact change, you don't commit the very act you are against.
