  1. He is the offensive tackle version of Melvin Fowler. He is a stop gap guy that teams sign until they can get a good player. He is smart and hustles, that's why he is still in the league. He doesn't make bone headed mistakes like golden boy Incognito
  2. Brady Quinn is terrible. I prefer Fitzpatrick
  3. I wouldn't trade that for him if he were entering his prime.
  4. As will the next president. Its what gets you elected in this backwards place
  5. As President, he basically has to, just as Bush had to accept some democratic ideas. If you don't you are just banging your head against a wall.
  6. He is an attrocious situation- and I am not saying because of Bush (who was in a bad situation too). You try to do the right thing and try to keep power. Usually in our country, the latter gets more attention. Hate to say it, but facts are facts.
  7. He can pass a physical, but can still be very vulnerable to injury. I think he has started to lose a step. It isn't just size- it is size plus explosiveness. That tends to dissipate late in a lineman's career. Nothing wrong with taking a look, but I am very skeptical.
  8. He was released for a reason. He has played for 12 seasons at nose tackle and is pretty beat up. I don't think he could hold up- and if you are getting him to use a draft pick at another position, you are short changing the NT position. You don't get everything at once. It doesn't work that way.
  9. If I am the GM, I couldn't care less what fans want either. If our previous front office ignored the sheep, we would still have a starting caliber tackle. Now we have more holes to fill and it will be quite some time before we are in the playoffs. Sorry, I know thye truth hurts, but you will accept it. Move along now.
  10. I just hope they have the guts to stick by that long term. My gut tells me they will abandon that in 2012. Call me cynical, but thats just how our country works- people that step out of line are no longer considered heros. Maybe calling himself a maverick actually hurt McCain.
  11. It might be his only shot- and I don't care if he makes it or not, just interested in seeing if he has the instincts.
  12. I would prefer to give him a shot at weak inside backer first- we invested a lot in him. He never will be an edge rusher, but see if you can turn him into a player. If you can't, send him on his way.
  13. I also find in depressing that it seems the republicans seem ready to absorb the tea party. Eliminate the choices and consolidate the power.
  14. Actually, the mental issues of our politicans are DIRECTLY traceable to the American people, who they go out of their way to please.
  15. I find the whole state of thing sad and it gets more depressing ever single day. The democrats and republicans have the country conned into believing that it is the lesser of two evils or your vote doesn't count. It really feels like the two parties aren't even on the same side and we are in the midst of a civil war. Welcome to the Divided States of America. Accept or leave......
  16. Problem is that by the time the defense is ready to be good, he would be done. Build young and don't rush
  17. To all you fantasy football idiots. 1. We aren't going to fill all of our holes in one season. 2. We aren't headed to the playoffs 3. We need people who can physically hold up in the defense for the season
  18. While I can't refute much of what you said, Joe, I have to say I would be more comfortable investing the money it would take to get that oil in nuclear and other forms of energy. With the energy use that goes on in this country, 3.6 billion barrels will only last so long, and hostile countries always will have much more than we do. We have to move away from oil and stop giving them our economy and security.
  19. 1. Possibility 2. Strong possibility 3. Almost all have been locked up already 4. Have to protect him and have WR get open first 5. I would prefer seeing him inside as I don't see Maybin as an edge rusher- EVER 6. Possibility- so is siging Josh Reed 7. Hope we can get a draft pick for him 8. I prefer the kid from Central Michigan- did a lot with less around him. I don't see us improving a great deal without a nose tackle. I have McCargo as the NT right now. Stroud and Williams can make a lot more plays, so they should be put in better position to make plays. Fans like to kick Jauron around, but he maximized this roster of misfits as much as any coach in the league could have. He isn't great by any means, but deserves a lot more respect that his detractors- and no- I DIDN'T say he deserves more respect FROM his detractors.
  20. Maybe he needs to same therapy Tiger Woods is getting It is. We need a setup with hamsters running on wheels
  21. Hasn't Robert Gallery been a solid starter for awhile now?
