  1. I don't have a lot of time for that- If you know, please tell me- I sure it would be interesting to have that info. Thanks
  2. This sounds like the stuff I have head on CSPAN from both sides. I am tired of being told by both sides what I should think. We should tell them how to vote and they should stop telling us what we think. Ahh, I will just keep telling myself thatthis is the best place in the world....that will make all of this go away When the objective is to damage the other party, you damage the whole country. This is what its come to.
  3. Why don't they have any savings? Whose fault is that? I can somewhat agree about the health care issue- you can suddenly get hit with illness that isn't your fault, but if you have been just spending everything and not putting money away, that's your fault. I can see going back to the old social security- which is two years prior to the end of the average life expectancy.
  4. Actually Walt Corey was a very good coordinator. The problem was that he asked a guy that was similar to John Randle to play like Ted Washington. I think Jeff Wright was a lot more talented than big mouth Smerlas, but they had a completely different skill set. To this day, Wright's immense talent is unappreciated, as he passed under the radar, playing out of position. If we had a Ted Washington back then, we would have won at least 3 superbowls and maybe gone to more than 4
  5. Personally, I am for eliminating social security. Let people save for their own retirements. You may have to grandfather a few people in, but this could pay for the health care that was so desperately wanted. The major problem with social security is that it was never adjusted for increased life expectancy as it should have been and was turned into something it was never meant to be.
  6. You say that as if capitalism is natural. It is as man made and flawed as communism, socialism and fascism. We are a large country and big power. Like all those who came before us, we are destined to fail by our own devices
  7. I am not worried about anything. I am not panicking either, nor will I. Nobody has run off with my money, nor do I expect it in the future. Repeat after me- the sky is not falling
  8. Let me guess, you prefer the form or redistribution that comes as tax breaks and trickles down. Both are redistribution of the wealth and both will happen in our country and in others.
  9. I don't think the country will ever actually move too far left or right of center. We are told that it is, but it really isn't. Also, it irritates me that both sides claim that they speak for us- neither side really speaks for me......
  10. What about the big comeback against Indy in 1996? We were down 26-0
  11. Whether or not this sticks, I don't see us headed towards a socialized economy. People will still claim the sky is falling, but it really isn't.
  12. It is like just about any other oversized bill. It will have some pretty ridiculous loop holes that will be exploited- possibly worse than what is taking place now.
  13. Not many Americans have common sense. I say 2012 will be up for grabs regardless of anything That happening on either side is bad.
  14. Selfishness comes to the forefront both with socialism and capitalism. People just blindly defend things- and by that, I am not referring to you, Exiled, just to people in general.
  15. Don't remember when or who the coach was- Either Edwards or whoever was before him, maybe? I remember seeing four down linemen and four LB's. Covering so many games over so many years, it really blends together for me quite a bit.......You absolutely have to get good pressure to make it work.
  16. The Jets did it very successfully a few years ago
  17. Socialism isn't tyrannical and neither is capitalism. Those are just excuses for PEOPLE who are tyrannical. Systems have no will of their own, so they can't be good or bad. They go wrong, because people are inherently bad
  18. Very, very true How can we make supper with out electric?
  19. Some teams have a specialty 4-4 package, but if we don't have a defensive back who needs to be on the field more than Maybin does, we are sunk
  20. Say what you want about the tea party movement, the democrats and republicans. This country has no political will and hasn't for a long time. Modern Americans wouldn't be able to end slavery or break from England like the founding fathers did.
  21. For what you guys hope to give up to get him, I don't see it happening. He has played pretty hard and the attitude problems that were talked about in Detroit haven't carried over.
  22. I am neither excited, nor discouraged. We probably will be average at best, meaning exciting some games, ho-hum others. We simply don't have the personnel to dominate yet. A few good drafts and that can change dramatically.
  23. I think so. Maybe I am cynical. It just seems so many people will parrot the line of their party because they aren't smart enough to know any better. I wish they would turn into lemmings for real- that'd learn em real good!
  24. The "Collins stinks" comments come from fans that don't know much about football. Collins isn't a pro bowl QB and he can't be Peyton Manning and lead the team somewhere. He is a journeyman that can help the team as a backup and be a spot starter. He is better than most of the QB's we have had in the last decade, including everyone's favorite midget whiner. People always complain about getting warm weather QB's and when the opportunity to get a guy that has been successful in cold weather, we don't want that either. Truly the best, smartest fans in the history of the universe
