  1. Face it. You're biased against him because he hurt your precious feelings. He has a skill set which mirrors our starting quarterback and that brings value to the roster
  2. Kaepernick may not be great, but he isn't bad. I'd welcome him as a backup, as he fits well with what Tyrod can do. If we draft a guy who can be the #2, then he becomes a very good #3. People are used to the anthem being played. And we are very narcissistic. I couldn't care less if they get upset. they can sit in their living rooms and play it if they want
  3. He played under the worst coach in team history, and in an offense that doesn't feature the pass. He's an effective blocker and an explosive threat. Far from a bust
  4. Thank you for posting some common sense
  5. Ok, who is out there that's better?
  6. He would have had a team that stayed together a lot longer. And look at the success Montana had in an offense that defenses hadn't been built to stop
  7. Exactly. I think we cruise to the playoffs with Tyrod and that same defense if Ryan isn't bumbling around the sidelines
  8. Comparing QB of such vastly different styles with different coaches and different supporting casts. Apples and oranges
  9. Yes, we needed those picks so we can add players. Like we did with these signings
  10. I'm for best player available. When you draft with the goal to beat a specific team, you get desperate, which leads to getting burned. Assemble the best roster you can. This isn't going to be a championship season, and likely not a playoff season. I hope for playoffs in 3-4 years
  11. It's clearly not a tank year. It is an evaluation year. We get to see how our established players fit into the new systems. Tyrod is a guy who can do some things well and based on knowing that, it will show different skills of other players. He's clearly the best QB on the roster and you don't just get rid of that because the fans don't want him here. Listening to those voices are why the franchise has been stuck since the turn of the century
  12. I don;t care how much it costs, we need to sign Brian Quick. Quick has always been one of my favorite drinks, especially the strawberry one
  13. I could see a third round pick for Taylor. He is a servicable starting QB and a valuable player
  14. You aren't getting the 33rd pick for Tyrod Taylor.
  15. As many of you know, I've also bee a Browns fans for a long time. Here's my take on McKown: He definitely is not elite in almost any category that you look for in a QB, definitely not the most athletic QB you will find. But here is a guy that will NEVER embarrass the team on or off the field. He is the opposite of Billy Joe Hobert in that he will studiously know the game plan and offense. This guy loves the game and is dedicated to it and his team. A hard worker and a class act.
  16. Addiction is a horrible beast that people can't understand if they haven't been through it. So sorry for your loss
  17. Rich Gannon did pretty well. Steve Bono had some success as well
  18. If you match up talent for talent on paper, then maybe. But guys have to fit the scheme. And rebuild or reload. It doesn't matter what you want to call it. Just make smart roster moves and the arrow will start pointing up. I have no playoff expectations for next season. I want to se an organized, cohesive unit on the field.
  19. Part of my point- that team is kept as a well-oiled machine. If one part breaks down, plug in another and you won't miss too much most of the time
  20. And their team's are consistently high on that list, even in down years
  21. Because he's found guys who can perform in his system fairly easily and plug them right in. Anyone remember Matt Cassell going 11-5? New England is a machine
  22. If he hadn't destroyed a great defense with a gimmick scheme, he may have had that.
