Possible LA relocation (Bills mention)
BILLS02138 replied to Pennsyl-tucky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like who? Exactly. It's exactly the way people work in Buffalo. There is a ton of money. Most don't know about it. Just a few. -
Possible LA relocation (Bills mention)
BILLS02138 replied to Pennsyl-tucky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Link Not worried about it... just keep Ralph going and we'll be fine. Also, there is more money in WNY than most folks realize. One last thought - Warren Buffet - why not? He owns the Buffalo News... Geico... and so forth. Did find it interesting that they would mention the 49ers tho... that would seem odd. I say the best team to move would be San Diego. Move them 60 miles north - half way to LA - and call em the San Diego Chargers at LA. Other than that - a market that sells out its home as often as the BILLS - deserves its franchise. And folks forget - the BILLS market ranges from Toronto to Albany. Pretty damn large. -
If there were ever a market that deserved a franchise - it is Buffalo. I don't blame the fans for supporting this team. The Bills are in our blood. It's markets like Oakland - where the upper decks are nearly completely empty - that don't deserve a franchise. What a disgrace.

Just heard from a very reliable source that JetBlue will be offering direct service between BUFFALO and BOSTON starting in 3-4 months. Also heard that JetBlue is adding over 118 flights out of BOSTON as well, including direct service to JFK. This is awesome news. USAirways has controlled these markets long enough!

Really appreciate this article.

LINK - you'll have to scroll down to find it - site bloggish - Sources say, "a notable weekly will publish an article discussing the Bills future in WNY." "In that article the publication states that there will have to be a NEW stadium component to any deal," sources continued. ###

(OT) Salvatores...How is the food
BILLS02138 replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Food is pretty good... but the gaudiest place on earth? Um, have you ever been to New Jersey? Long Island? Even Boston's North End has some pretty cheesy places (but that's where the food and pastry's rock!) -
Perhaps so... I just read it that Jerry wants all teams to maximize their own economic potential before sitting back and reaping the awards from others who go above and beyond. Makes sense to me. Ralph could still sell the naming rights to the Stadium - and keep his name on the Field House. I could care less what they call the stadium as long as the team remains in WNY. I'm honestly less concerned about the Jerry Jone's in the league. I'm more concerned about Ralph Wilson - and why he hasn't sold off 51% of the team to a local ownership group?

Not Feeling Law School Right Now, Advice?
BILLS02138 replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A law degree opens many doors. I'd say stick it out - it's only three years. IF you take time off - there is a good chance you may NEVER go back. Trust me. Most of my friends have their law degree's and most of them no longer practice. They have found really good jobs - and their degree is not a hinderance. A law degree is VERY good thing to have. The first year is always tough - but you'll get through it. Maybe look into a JD/MBA? Good luck. -
I just read and enjoyed the article - Strange journey to being Bills fan - by Linn Caroleo. First, I wonder where the BILLS rank in team-fan loyalty. They must be near the top. Second, the best part of her article - was a phrase I've never heard before: It doesn't matter, because when it comes to being a Bills fan, it means sticking with the team, even when people ask if BILLS stands for — Because I Love Losing Super Bowls! Laughed my ass off when I read that. Does anyone know Ms. Caroleo? Wonder if she is aware of this board - must be. Oh well, back to work.

LINK Bills WR Moulds hurts ribs NFL.com wire reports ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Aug. 20, 2005) -- Buffalo receiver Eric Moulds bruised his ribs in the second quarter of the Bills' preseason 27-7 win against Green Bay. Moulds did not return after being tended to on the sideline, and watched the final eight minutes of the first half from the bench. The Bills said he did not return in part because he was only scheduled to play in Buffalo's first three series. He was hurt while leaping for J.P. Losman 's pass over the middle that glanced off his fingers. Moulds was still in the air when Packers' safety Earl Little hit him, Little's helmet catching the receiver on the right side. Moulds was slow to get up, and appeared in pain as he took off his helmet and walked gingerly to the sideline. ps: Sorry if this was already posted. Moulds is a 10-year NFL veteran and three-time Pro Bowl selection.

Cheapest way from Boston to Buffalo
BILLS02138 replied to Mantis Toboggan M.D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JetBlue does not service JFK/BUF from Boston. Independence Air is your best bet if you don't want to drive. I just booked a flight yesterday for $79 each way, plus tax. Unfortunately, it's via Baltimore. That drive sux after a while... flyi.com also try orbitz.com -

[OT] What am I missing here?
BILLS02138 replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You've never been to the one up in Burlington, ON or Tornoto? It was only 30 minutes from Lewiston Queenston... I always saw folks with Bills hats on up there. We'd go up there to check out the stuff - rarely bought anything - but some folks really like their Ikea. We're finally getting one here in Boston - 25 miles south of the city ~ near foxboro. Not quite sure the location makes sense - since most of the schools in Boston are um, in Boston. -
