Who said anything about backup? I BILLieve that the post started with I'm scared of JP starting or something like that. Mc Nair would be a great mentor for JP because we could design a more mobile offense that would fit better than Drew the Goo had! And it would be a 2 yr max deal...If JP isn't ready by then he may never be.

Does anyone here play? Where can I find some local toury's in the southern teir that wont kill my bank account? I usually play for min amounts with the guys but I recently went to Salamanca and played at the casino and had a great time.(even though I lost). Does anyone know of any local get togethers and or tournys going on in the near future? Thanks Steve

I think we all saw how prepared JP was when he got tossed into the NE debacle. Him coming in this early to prepare is huge. It not only shows he wants the starting job badly but he is willing to make sure he is ready to take the reigns by preparing for an extra couple of months.

Were you in uniform? Last time I was in Norfolk I used to go buy beer on Granby sometimes and never had a problem. I also used to go to the store out the back gate where Mc Donalds is ( all black ) and never had a problem their either. Did have a problem with some white guys in Portsmouth though. Still got scar on my knuckle where I pulled a tooth out of my hand. But being a Seabee I never had a problem when I made my deployments to Norfolk. Sounds weird ---deployment to Norfolk

I still like Mc Nair. He still has a couple years left behind a decent O-Line and wants to win before he retires. He is fairly mobile and JP can learn from that. Besides Tenn cant afford to keep him or anyone else worth a damn. Put him behind an O-line and run the ball like we do and his injuries will drop off. I for one don NOT want to take a step back before we take one forward because we will only be 9-7 in 2006 if we do. DAMN IT I WANNA WIN NOW!!!
