Buffalo Bills Cap room: $33 million It's hard to tell whether the Bills are ready to jump the 8-8 hurdle. Dick Jauron brought an air of stability to the franchise last season. J.P. Losman showed signs of being a promising young quarterback. But if the Bills make the wrong decisions in free agency, they will be in danger of sliding back. They figure to lose cornerback Nate Clements. They could lose linebacker London Fletcher and defensive end Chris Kelsay. With $33 million of cap room, it's hard to believe they would lose anyone, but these are the decisions facing Jauron and general manager Marv Levy. Finding a replacement for Clements will be impossible in this market unless they get Asante Samuel from New England. They will probably cut quarterback Kelly Holcomb. The Bills should be able to make some major upgrades along the offensive line. Mike Gandy is a free agent, and the Bills have to decide if they want to keep Chris Villarrial at guard. Through the draft and free agency, they have enough ammunition to improve the shaky blocking from last season. The line is the thinnest unit on the team.

Detroit interested in London Fletcher

Even if we put the Transition Tag on him we still have a shot at keeping him. Whatever it takes. In no way does our football team get better without him on it. Just my 2 cents. -

Carlisle FA OG

I am weary about that whole crack back blocking scheme myself. But from what I've seen that entire O-line plays pretty good. -
Broncos | Carlisle likely to test market Wed, 7 Feb 2007 08:14:37 -0800 Lee Rasizer, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos will likely allow pending free agent OG Cooper Carlisle to test the market. With the Ticket I watch alot of games and Denver is usually one of the better 4pm games. Bottom line is they know how to get things done in terms of blocking and assignments. Not sure how much he is looking to bank on this deal but if affordable the why not get that proven starter. Thoughts?

Thank You all for your prayers as it will be 70 here in Alabama today. -
5 bucks says it works! SDS will be creaming all over himself when he sees that layout. Even though he has prolly seen it before and has them printed and made into wallpaper for his bathroom or something.

It's 50 degrees here in Alabama and will be 70 by early next week where it shall stay until it gets hotter than that. The only thing I don't miss about being back home in Tonawanda is being COLD. Lets move the BUffalo area south. -

Here we go again!!! But I do wish he were still around. -
Bud, Grubbs in the second would be great and all but you have traded both our seconds away to get back in the first for Lynch. How do you suppose we get Grubbs now?
-
Ok Bud, You need to take advantage of this now. Remember that the MGIB expires 10 years after you get off active duty. You can definitly make money off it if your tuition costs are low or you have grants and stuff. I know when I joined it was 19,400 and now it has crested 38,000 and since I'm still on active duty I get all the increases. The University of Phoenix is an online college that makes an education for military members very very easy to obtain. They will even take your stuff from when you were in and give you credits for that too. Thats classes you don't have to take and money you can pocket. As for your nephew, Have him talk to ALL the branches and see what fits him best. We all have something different to offer depending on individual wants and needs. Things have changed alot since you were in ie: tuition assistance now covers 100% vice the 75% it covered when you were in. etc etc. If you have any questions about anything at all please feel free to contact me. And if you haven't figured it out yet I am a Navy Recruiter! Let me know if I can help Steve

Hockey does NOT belong in the SOUTH!

I lived in the Va Beach area years ago before I was in the Navy. I used to go see the Tides on a regular basis. There are so many people in that area(many are transplanted WNYers) and so much diversity that any Pro team could survive and do well in that area. The Navy population alone could sell out different venues ie: NFL--MLB--NHL--NBA on a consistent basis every night. -
Who's Hot/Not at Senior Bowl
Navy Chief Navy Pride replied to In space no one can hear's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe the Willis blurb will calm down the draft him with the 12 pick that people have been saying. The way it looks now he will still be there when we pick in the second. I for one wouldn't mind taking him then but not with the 12. If Okoye is ther at 12 you gotta grab him. No questions and No exceptions. Steve -
What happened to the BOTD???

You da man!!!!!!!!! I got my fix -
I've seen Mocks where Hall is falling to the end of the first and even into the second. Hughes is eating his lunch at senior week.
-
I would have to say Okoye in the 1st and then Hughes in the second has got to be the best choices I've seen. But I still wouldn't mind Willis at LB. He just seems to e a monster that loves to take peoples heads off. In the second rnd of course.

Am I wrong or are you kind of going in the direction of how we negotiate orders in the Navy? We bid for what is available as well. And quals come into play too. While I don't hate your idea I would think the players would because while they are getting top dollar and a team that wants them they still have no say in the end of where they will call home. And for that reason alone it will never fly.

I thought Norfolk had an AHL team. Maybe they left cuz it was too warm. My dad lives in Portsmouth and I could have sworn he had mentioned going to a game a while back. -
How would you grade this first round?
Navy Chief Navy Pride replied to 2003's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We still have a second rounder because we got one back from Philly via trade. Not that I agree with the entire thing (see my post above). -

I definitly have to agree with how do you replace NC. Yobouty? Has anyone even found him yet? I don't like the Haynesworth move at all...That is just not a good fit for our team...If I piss him off at a Home game is he gonna stomp my face with his cleats? Not a Marv guy...You gotta remember that you are playing the role of Marv. Lynch's durability has come into question and alot of peeps are unsure of his ability to be that every down guy. You know what you have in WM. You can still get Lynch but your hands are almost tied to keep WM until he proves he can be the guy. -

If your weather does not get cold enough to make ICE then in my opinion you should not have an NHL team. My 2 cents -
Man I used to go to IN & OUT once a week when I was stationed in Port Hueneme Ca. (Oxnard). They were definitly some of the best burgers I ever filled my face with. Good times.
