  1. I don’t post here much and haven’t over the 20+ years, but I think it’s lovely to have posters discussing these technical details. Please do keep it here, as I think there are plenty of readers who enjoy learning rather than scroll through pages of “Fire X”, “Bench Y” rants.
  2. Albany, I'm terribly disappointed in you. As a long-standing TBD member, you should know that nothing is acceptable other than a hysterical, irate, sky-is-falling-fire-the-coaching-staff-and-tank-for-the-number-one-pick post when the Bills win by anything less than 51-3.
  3. Indeed. And yet we continue to feed the trolls, half of whom are probably Dolphins fans, when we should be sending them back under the bridge from under which they crawled. Ignore is your best friend 😄
  4. Vonn isnt too hard on the eyes either.
  5. Dorsey tried to get cute today on that play.
  6. My brother was a bowler...for the Indian national cricket team. Does that count?
  7. I agree -- I suppose I misspoke. USA outplayed Sweden most of the day from a strategic standpoint and deserved to come out on top IMO. Sometime the ball just doesn't find the net. I have to say, though, that I hate PKs and always have. Horrid way to end matches.
  8. OK, I'll bite. Could someone please explain to me why the USWNT not singing the national anthem is an issue? They are professional athletes. Is there something in their job description that says because they play for a national team, singing along or mouthing words is a requirement? Or that not doing so is unpatriotic and a violation of rules? Or is all this angst reaction to a false perception that every athlete from other countries in the women's world cup sang their own national anthem, and how dare the USWNT not follow suit like lemmings? Why does one have to sing out loud and yell "USA! USA!" to show their "patriotism" overtly? Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I don't recall anyone on the team making an overt issue of this until the media / twitter asshats got on their case for a perceived slight. It probably would have sailed quietly into the good night. Rapinoe may have been vocal with her views and I see that that ruffles feathers. As may comments from her opponents ruffle the feathers of those who don't agree with them. I've always understood that the price of "freedom" is tolerance of other views and the right to respectfully disagree. Where did this go? I'd guess the issue is some people are very thin-skinned these days and perceive everything as a personal insult to their way of life. 🤒 Give me back the ability to just listen and disagree. Yep. Humans, unlike robots, sometimes choke. Happens to the best of them as we all know. They were beaten by an opponent who was better on the day. Oh well. Personally, as a football fan, I think they've raised the bar for the world over the last 20 years. One or two bad tournaments doesn't erase the mark they've left. Nor should it, or any amount of noise over perceived slights from their supposed ill behaviour.
  9. I love this logic, since we all know the outcome of every game is determined after the first two drives. I have proposal: let’s shorten games to the first four drives. 60 minutes is ridiculous. ChatGPT can predict the outcomes afterwards with virtual certainty.😒
  10. I love data cherry picker trolls with really weak takes.😒
  11. Really? I thought Journey are a Bay Area band.
  12. C’mon PTR. You know way better than to bring a rational take to this board. Don’t mention the fact that half that time they didn’t practise enough to install him in the offense. It’ll bring the “we won but we really lost” trolls out. I really miss Hogboy.
  13. Nice post. Aidan Hutchinson is a beast and causes matchup problems for most. That said, Spencer needs to do better and continue to improve.
  14. A live chicken? To sacrifice and help Cerrano hit curveballs?
  15. Yes, this. Fish have SF next week on the road? Let’s see how they do against a real D. It could get ugly.
  16. I thought they canceled the X-files and the Smoking Man conspiracy theories… Why blame life / reality when you have an axe to grind against the coaches?
  17. It seems nobody wants to recognize the elephant in the room. It is always everyone else’s fault before Josh. Blame HC, OC, O line, RB, secondary injuries… Oh right, I forgot to blame Edmunds. Josh not been elite these last few games and played a part in all three losses. Injury? Psyche? Slump? Dunno. But with all the injuries, sub-elite play from him led to a few close games. Hope he will break out of it. That said, we are 7-3 and control our destiny to win the division. 1 or 2 seed depends on KC.
  18. Refreshing to see some here have found a new scapegoat as the hot take du jour. Thought for sure someone would have criticized Edmunds for not making any impact plays by now in this thread… 😒
  19. Well, Tremaine didn’t play today so the default candidate for the “he sucks” posts by the usual suspects was out. At least the6 are thinking outside the box a bit for a change.
  20. You left out the part about the thread continuing for another three pages after that common sense post.
  21. I find offensive the ease at which you became offended.
  22. “Preventive” is enough you are saying? I’ve no issues with either sentence you wrote, but what bothers me more is the current use of the verb “do” these days as a catch all for any action. “Yeah, I’ll do a martini with a lemon twist.” ”I’ll do the rigatoni.” it used to be that men would use that verb as part of locker room talk. 😀
  23. LOL…you’ve been around long enough that I see what you did here. I love how so many threads turn in to Tremaine-bashing. Reminds me of retroactive Flutie or RJ bashing back in the day. It’s like having a glass of champagne in the morning. Adds a bit of sparkle to the day, as once quoted by a Mr. Osato, for all you Bond aficionados.
