    The question was "Which team made the best free agent move this Friday?"

     

    TD answered with the 49er's for taking steps to "shore up their secondary." Riggggght...

     

    Schefter answered Buffalo. He said Buffalo took a lot of steps to shore up their O line and they had to, they lost Nate, they're going to lose other players Like London Baker. Fletcher. They signed Dockery, they signed Langson, big moves from Buffalo.

     

    Nice to see us getting some props!!

    I guess there's little doubt that Marv understands that it starts up front. They talked about getting O-Line help and they went and got it! Three, THREE O-line guys in the first day? A 7 year 49 Million dollar deal!? From cheap Ralph :lol:

     

    I really wonder what's next?

     

    There is still talk out there of trading Willis and cutting TKO (I'll cry by the way, that guy is a GOD, though an injured god). Wonder if they would still try and find the money to get Nate back? I wonder who they would think about getting to play RB? Anyone think all of this makes Willis want to pick up the phone and say "Uh, Marv, I was just kidding, I'd *love* to stay in Buffalo and run behind these guys, ya' know what'I'mean?"

     

    Seems like the start of a fun offseason and good thing in Buffalo! When is the opener again??

    That Roto quote is so misleading it's not even funny. Brown is just speculating about Rhodes because he's a FA and comparing him to Willis. It doesn't say the Bills are LOOKING for an all-purpose back, just that they WANT one - just like every other team in the league!

     

    It's like me saying - An article on BB.com says that the Bills are looking at Dominic Rhodes this off season, saying that "He'd be a primary target of the Bills." :blink:

    It's funny that they don't see the bigger picture in this project...

     

    For the Bills to be successful in WNY they need to get local business to purchase the luxury suites. I'm sure companies purchasing those suites currently are bringing in clients from other parts of the country who are looking at our stadium and saying "nice, but damn this place seems old" (which it is).

     

    Now you throw up some new tech gadgets (huge HD scoreboard and ribbon scoreboards on the side) and it's going to make the Ralph look like it's part of the 20th century. If these fools don't think that perception doesn't play a role in business deals, recruiting and therefore the purchase of luxury suites, they're crazy.

     

    Not to mention the perception of people all around the country that see our stadium on TV when their team plays here (since we don't get any national games :worthy:.

     

    I just really don't WHY anyone would be against giving our stadium a facelift that is going to improve people's perception of Buffalo...

    Ah I disagree with this it should be first come first serve, if people from other cities are able to get their hands on some tickets then why stop them? Anyone should be able to go to a football game no matter where you live.

    Exactly what right does the team and Ticketmaster have to restrict ticket sales? Hell, I usually enjoy having a beer or two and a jeer or two with other teams fans!

    Did anyone else see the story about the Chargers cancelling any ticket sales to anyone outside of Southern California (i.e. New England) to get "the best home-field advantage possible"? I guess the Bears did it too.

     

    Seems a little extreme to me - what right do they have to "discriminate" against Pats fans (not that I don't want to see the Pats lose)? I mean it was only 1,000 tickets, but still, just doesn't seem right. Plus it just seems so pu**y to not let opposing fans in! Come on, it's a playoff football game!!

    Nice - I'm watching TV and Gumbal and Colinsworth are wondering why Williams is being stubborn on D in the Skins game.

     

    I just read the articles, interesting insight on a crazy man. I somehow doubt that Nate needs to read an SI article to understand what it's like to work under Greeeeg...

     

    My god that D is a mess - I love to watch a meltdown live in HD! That second article (I've named it "Greggpocolypse now") is just so telling - you cna see it reflected in tonight's game! Greeeeg is once again staying in the Cover 2 on running downs and getting run all over. I half expect him to turn to an NFL Network camera and say "No, noo, it's cool, I'm F'n BRILLIANT!"

     

     

    This certainly makes ya wonder how much Nate likes Fewell, his D and the way he runs things. After Perry saying that Nate's loss would be the biggest on the D maybe Nate will bye into what we're trying to build. He certainly should see the bright future for this team!

     

    In the end it seems Gregg is pretty much a prick (not just here but in Washington too), so let's hope that Nate sees that too. I like our chances of keeping Nate, to be honest. We're way under the cap and the Fewell *knows* how important Nate is. I hope the front office offers money early and often once the seaon ends!!

    How is Ellison-Crowell-Spikes faster than Ellison-Spikes-Crowell?

     

    Do you think Crowell would be a better MLB than Spikes?

     

    I was just thinking the same thing driving home from Christmas - a lot on my mind :o

     

    I think that Takeo is a savvy enough veteran to handle the *responsibilities* of MLB - I'm not sure if he's suited to play it. Anyone? Still I think that Ellison has proven that he should be out on the field. I'll miss London, he's an incredible player and should be thought highly of in Buffalo. The guy always played hard over - despite all that was going on the last few years.

     

    I say sign Nate at all costs and let London go...

    Hopefully that cooler stayed in the Buffalo region and made it to all the games I couldn't after I moved! :rolleyes:

     

    Hammer, I'll check the parking once I get up there - if the lot is crazy, I'll be in your yard. Since I'll be rolling with a 12 pack of High Life and some sort of a sandwich I should be pretty mobile!

     

    And here I thought I was not going to make it to a game this year - the streak is alive!

    I'm heading home for the holidays and I would like to take in the game, but all of my Buffalo crew is caught up with family, wives, kids and all that good stuff. It'd be nice to have a crew to tailgate with...
