  1. Just out of curiosity, did they give any insite into how Trent/JP look?

Thank you for keeping us updated. It is much appreciated!

Nothing yet, but there's still another hour...

They did say everyone needs to temper their enthusiasm for Mckelvin - they think he'll be good, but it'll take some time. Look for him in start in the nickel and work his way into the starting line-up. Also, don't discount Greer.

  2. There is more to this story..

I'm not sure there is - the entire organization has made it clear (through the media, probably through Peter's agent) that they are NOT going to negotiate with Peters until he shows up at camp.

It's that simple, if he shows up management (who knows that he's underpaid) will talk new contract with him...

  3. First few interesting tidbits:

    - Poz looks GREAT

    - They think that Stroud is going to make a big difference

    - They said that McCargo is struggling (though they referred to last season with him, where I thought that he showed a couple flashes)

Jauron is going to be on after the break...

  4. Dan - thanks for clearing up the host...

Buftex - great inside info; I often wonder how fun it would be to work in the Bills organization, knowing what's *really* up would be so fun.

One of the things that I really like about Edwards is that he's a hard worker and a smart kid. Anyone have a link to that article that was written when he was in college talking about him prepping for the future? Not that I think JP is "dumb", I just think that Trent takes a smarter approach and is more willing to go the extra mile.

    Guess we'll find out soon!

Unless of course they're both riding the bench behind Farve

  5. I missed the majority of the conversation, but Tim Ryan and Ross Tucker were taking about Brett Farve (yet again) and somehow JP taking over for Bledsoe came up.

One of the two (Ryan I believe) said that from what he understood JP was not one to hang around after hours working on his game too much. He said that at the end of the day JP would go out the door with everyone else and that if a QB is going to be successful he needs to put in the extra time and JP didn't do that.

Tucker went on to say that when the team dropped Bledsoe and they knew the JP was going to start they were upset because they knew they would be "starting over" (i.e. going from a vet to a rook, he was comparing the situation to Farve / Rogers).

I just thought that Ryan's comments were really interesting; from all that I've read I thought that JP was putting in the extra time and was studying hard to be the best. In the end who knows what the truth is - let's just hope that Edwards is putting in the time needed to have success this year and beyond!!

  6. First off, I love the fact that there's Rick Ross track with "Marshawn Lynch on the b*itch* -- Beast Mode" as the chorus. We've finally entered the hip-hop lexicon!

Of course if they ever do change the Shout! song we all know it will be to the 1994 MC Le-Vy classic "Go Bills"

Go Bills! For we are here to cheer for you

Go Bills! We are your fans so true

    With victory in sight

We'll yell with all our might

So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!

    C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!

    Go Bills! We're with you

    Fight Bills! We're with you

Go Bills! Let's win this game

We'll raise up all our voices high

The Bills teams spirit will not die

So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!

    C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!

Go Bills! For we are here to cheer for you

Go Bills! We are your fans so true

    With victory in sight

We'll yell with all our might

So, Go Bills! Fight Bills! Go!

    C'mon, let's win for Buffalo!

  7. Anyone else just watch the Meet the Press tribute to Russert? Great, great show about a wonderful man.

It was touching to see Brokaw choked up, clearly Tim Russert and his Buffalo background served journalism well. Rest In Peace.

The Buffalo Bills received a request from the Buffalo Police Department to interview certain Bills players in connection with the incident on the morning of Saturday, May 31st at the corner of West Chippewa Street and Delaware Avenue. The Buffalo Bills organization has fully cooperated with the authorities by assisting them in setting up the interviews with the several players they requested. Those players voluntarily attended the interviews and the investigators were able to speak with each of them.

It is the view of the Buffalo Bills organization that the investigation is not a team matter, but rather a personal matter. The Buffalo Bills have been asked to and have assisted the investigators. At the conclusion of the player interviews, the investigators indicated their intent to impanel a grand jury, to subpoena several Buffalo Bills players and to further subpoena several members of the Buffalo Bills administrative staff. The Buffalo Bills organization has cooperated fully and will continue to cooperate fully with the Buffalo Police Department in connection with this matter.

The Buffalo Bills organization is issuing this statement to respond to media reports that suggest that the Buffalo Bills have not been cooperative with the authorities, which is completely untrue.

  9. Thanks for the recap. And I thought McKelvin was the one with stone hands and Corner was a ballhawk!

Yeah, it was an interesting part of the interview. It was almost over, the guys asked Donte to put McKelvin on (he was downstairs playing video games) then Whitner brought up Corner and he really did stress the word player. He said a couple different ways that he's quick, and gets in front of the ball - but can't catch it. They joked his name isn't Reggie Receiver, said he's getting everyone ready for the tip drill.

Still, nice to hear the guys are out there making some hard effort.

A couple other thoughts that caught my ear:

Whitner was talking about how hard the entire team played last year (hear that Jauron haters) and said he heard they would play for free. And he said it really felt that way and that they're back working hard this year.

When talking about Hardy he praised his work ethic, said he's like a vet out there, is one of the first in and the last out, studies hard and wants to learn.

I really, really can't wait for this season to start. Don't get me wrong it's a big summer and is going to be a fun one, but MAN am I excited to see this *team* play together...
